My biggest issue with Failsafe was the reason it even activated. Like, Batman really never considered that someone might accidentally (or purposefully, in this case) die in his presence and have someone misunderstand?
There's a password for situations like this Alfred is the only one who knew if and he never gave the thought of Alfred dying any actual thought

@@bearwitty9690 Honestly, he was barely even framed. Penguin literally just poisoned himself in front of Batman and then, while trying to save him, someone walked in and saw Batman with hands on Penguin's dying body and said "OMG! Batman killed!"
I don't even think Penguin actually died. Pretty sure he was revealed to have been alive and was just trying to escape the life of crime by faking his death.
@@bearwitty9690 There was no Alfred, the only person with the 'abort' codes, to tell it 'false alarm'. There was no contradiction, all evidence said Batman killed Penguin (who's... back now...?). So the AI activated under parameters 'Batman killed'.
Reason Batman gave Alfred the abort code is because Alfred would objectively make the hard call if he felt Bruce did wrong. And Bruce would **never** harm Alfred to a point he couldn't make the report.
Sadly, Alfred was murdered recently enough. So no report 'false alarm'.
It's legit Batman's "Batman contingency". Like how Tower of Babel he had Contingencies for EVERY Justice Leaguer, this Robot was his if HE went insane.

Gotham is actually cursed to always have crime it was a whole storyline about it and on top of that I don’t know where it was stated but Barbatos also directly influenced Gotham. So all in all there’s nothing anyone can do but stalemate it’s a failed city and I would’ve been left.

For someone so smart, he constantly makes the same mistake. It's okay to be prepared, especially for the worst kind of situations. But Batman is honestly very quick to pul the "trigger" when it comes to his fail safes. This isn't the only time the whole league was in danger because some enemy obtained his contingency plans. Hiw many times does an enemy have to steal some actually dangerous shit for him to realize that he's part of the problem.
They should kick Batman out of the Justice League and monitor him 24/7 while he's locked up in a super high tech maximum security prison.
Watch out, he'll create a contingency for getting it stolen, that backfires because it thinks Batman stole the contingency plan.

You can’t convince me that the Batman writing room isn’t just a bunch of guys in one big circle jerk over a bat costume.
I know batman built a reputation on his no killing rule, but him basically saying that if he kills people then he won’t have self control when he’s fighting crime is super dumb
The logic behind his thought process is that if he justifies killing somebody, it will make it easier for him to come up with a justification for killing somebody else, than another one, than another

Joker the big one serves a purpose but is irredeemable joker serves as a natural enemy to everyone since he makes his money from straight up robbing them he screws over everyone and without him everyone would become stronger. Almost everyone allocates forces to killing joker.

We saw that happen in the Injustice storyline. The Joker’s murder was justified, but that put Superman on a slippery slope where he ended up as the kind of person who’d kill anyone who so much as looked at him wrong.
It wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to believe Batman could fall victim to that slope

What I find dumb is that his contigency also happens to beat the crap out of the Justice League. Like it should only target him otherwise its not really a "Batman" contigency. And the fact that you think that shows how much of a failure DC writers are. I should not think Superman is useless but when some crazy furry that lives in murder town can often make a dumb robot to beat him up...its the only conclusion to draw from.

Has all the skills in the universe and the intelligence of batman. Plus multiversal tech. When ant man builds ultron to defeat the avengers no one cares but batman does the same and people are butthurt.

Too many comic writers at Marvel and DC keep trying to mimic the greats instead of doing their own thing. Alan Moore does something successful, everyone and their mother has to try and fail to replicate it. Grant Morrison does something successful, same thing. You'd think people in a creative role would be...creative..

@@brandonfitzgerald-eo3tk even if he didn’t consider Alfred dying, failsafe wasn’t unleashed the same day. Why was finding a new password holder not the first thing he did. Hell, the guy has an army of robins, he didn’t think to have at least one of them takeover.
Bro’s passcode holder died and I guess he just assumed this was suddenly no longer a problem. Batman is functionally an organization at this point and he didn’t think having multiple passcode holders might be a good idea.
Even if Alfred hadn’t died, what happens if he’s not there at the moment or doesn’t see the notice for failsafe to activate. What happens if isn’t able to turn the thing off. What happens if Batman got accused of murder while flashpoint Batman had Alfred captured. Alfred is only one guy and Batman is a controversial public figure. He can’t be at a constant vigil for murder accusations.

Batman was, is and always will be a supervillain. It just takes the right story to highlight it.
Example: Hes directly responsible for 80% of the deaths that the joker causes. Once he knew that the joker will always get out of jail. He's cognizant of the lives that will be lost, but doesn't care about that as long as he feels good about his handling of the situation.
Writers don't even know what to write anymore...

Batman wouldn't use his high tech gear on people his rule is not to kill them. Gotham is magically cursed btw it's unsolvable.
