In this video I provide an overview of the blade assembly that powers the home made water pumping windmill that I constructed to move my rain water from low to high.
How thick were the blades and how did you go about putting the curve down the middle of the blade? By the way. This looks like a great design and looks more durable than many other people I have seen trying to build their own windmills.
It was very durable! I had it pumping water for over 10 years before I sold it. (we were planning on RVing full time) The blades were from real estate sign riders that were 24 gauge steel. how so? I spent a total of $5 for this blade assemble, it pumped water non-stop for 12 years then I sold it and as far as I know it is still spinning today, not bad for $5
