I started knitting 2 days ago. This was my first project, and though it took longer than expected (I thought it would take an afternoon and it ended up taking a whole day), it was a joy to do! Thank you for this easy beginner project, I really enjoyed it.
Your little bunny from a knitted square is delightful and so too was the little pom pom tail, didn't know you could make a mini pom pom with a fork - can't wait to try that! Fantastically clear instructions. Thank you so much.
This is a great project for a group of beginning knitters in middle school or high school.....they could sell them at a school fair..they are so sweet. Loved them.
I went to a local church and that day they had some children making these exact bunnies! instead of sowing the back closed what they did was sow the back but put a chocolate egg inside, and an opening on the bottom to take it out. It was so cute and as you guessed I bought one. people put ribbons around their bunnies necks and everything! If you were wondering what they were raising money for it was a hospital with lots of children in need!
Thank you for this tutorial. I'm a beginner knitter and crocheter and this looks totally do-able with a cute end project to show for it. Looling forward to more of your tutorials.
Ashley Jackson You should probably use two strands of yarn together for added durability. The square would have to be longer than the length of the foot in order to make the head and ears; not to mention wide enough to go up the sides of the foot. I would get some paper, wrap it around the foot to determine how wide it should be for the foot. Then at the same time, with that piece of paper, make a note of the length needed for the foot, and add extra paper, if needed, to work out how much extra (length-wise) is needed to make the bunny's head and ears.
This is such a wonderful pattern! Truly a beginner project since most people start out knitting a square! I made one and it was so cute, not to mention really easy! I've adapted the pattern for other animals too, it's wonderful.
I am SO happy that I stumbled across this video! This is such an unbelievably precious bunny, and so simple too! I am a very happy li'l boy right now, I can't wait to get to knitting!
Thank you!! I finally have found a reason to keep knitting! These are adorable and would make great gifts, plus they take so much less time than a scarf or a sweater would have. I can't wait to make one!
This is brilliant! And i can't thank you enough for this! I've only ever knitted a scarf before in the garter stitch and really want to learn more, but have been struggling to find things that aren't too advanced for me. But you're videos are perfect for people like me just starting out and really eagle to get making! :) thank you x
If anyone is here that doesn't want to measure your piece of knitting after every row, I have something to help you. If you are knitting the size Kristen is knitting then you add 30 + 30 = 60 rows of knitting! Other examples are: 10 + 10 = 20 & 50 + 50 = 100 rows of knitting! So basically you are knitting whatever your amount of stitches are with the same number and thats how many rows you have to knit! It's good if you have a row counter, that would work really well, if not, you can get a notebook and do the 5 lines things or even write out every number on your notebook! Hope this helps someone!
This is the perfect way to introduce someone to knitting. I adored making this. I've never knitted before and this bunny is adorable. Personally I hate making those squares as beginners practice because it seems so pointless. Now there's a point to making those squares. I might fall more in love with knitting than crocheting now! Thanks a bunch!!
This is now my go to pattern whenever I have some left over yarn, that isn't enough to turn into something large. It's also quick and simple, so is really calming. Thanks for sharing!
I needed a project for a charity basket for kids with cancer. This is the best and I'll be searching your other quick knits for similar projects!! THANK YOU!
So I just finished mine and he's adorable. A bit misshapen because I've been knitting for like four hours straight and it's almost 3 am by the time I finished him. He's adorable, I used t shirt strips for stuffing lol. I don't normally have stuffing available, so t shirt pieces worked pretty well. He's got a little bow tie and some free floppy whiskers. I'm excited to have been able to /finally/ make a simple and KNITTED (I cannot crochet for my life) animal :D Thank you so much for this cute and easy little animal! I am going to make an entire herd over time ;P
He is, I just realized I forgot his little tail, but that's an easy fix... When I complete the herd, I will definitely post a pic up to your facebook to show you :)
I love this idea I've started knitting yesterday but i struggle at the second part but hey practice makes perfect sooner or later ill get it right I only started yesterday thanks this video is really helpful though
Wow, brilliant! Thank you so much for taking the time to share this great idea with everyone! I did a search to help me teach my youngest daughter to knit. I'm so glad I found this. It will give her something to work towards that's easy enough for her to handle (she's 6) and exciting enough that she will want to stick with it.
Thank so much! I did this tonight with my beginner class, they loved it! So did I! Thanks again. By the way, I'm also going to use the same method for my beginner crochet class!
I love that you have these cute projects. I love learning to knit things other than scarves. I really wanted a new project (I'm learning to knit 😱) so this was awesome!
I'm just beginning to knit, so am SO EXCITED to try making these little bunnies!!! I''m making simple garter stitch scarves for my neighbor's daughters for Easter and will include these to match their individual scarves!!!
Unbelievably as a new knitter I made the teeny tiny 1 inch bunny. He's adorable and I gave him a little pompom tail. Thanks for these easy well crafted instructions.
I am a total beginner I have two kids and I am totally inspired to make this bunny! I'm gonna make a burrow-ful in no time because of your video Thank you!
I am a beginner knitter and this was super easy for me! Love it! It also helped me perfect the basic knit stitch and get a really project out of that practice!
I am going to make up one of these today. I have some granddaughters that would absolutely love a family of little bunnies for easter. Thank you so much for making this video and sharing with the world. I am a new subscriber and can't wait to make more of your beautiful creations. :)
I want to try this! I’m a beginning level knitter and know that it would literally take me years to learn the complicated patterns, but I think I can handle this! Thank you so much for making it accessible to all levels of knitters!
I love love love this pattern! I inherited a HUGE amount of knitted squares from my great aunt I've run out of people to make blankies for! I made so many of these little bunnies now. I just put a ribbon loop at the top and they make lovely ornaments and such a great little gift!
Omg I just tried this and it works really well! I've just made my first two rabbits and they're my first project! I love that this is a toy you can make from knitting since most toys are normally crocheted. This is a really cute and simple toy to make,I love this tutorial great job!
So cute! I'm definitely going to have to try this and save them for Easter, I've got a ton of pastel colors leftover from making a baby blanket. Was worried they'd just sit there in my basket but not anymore :D Thank You!
Oh my, who would have thought such a cute bunny would come from some of my gauge squares. I have a basket with some in it and they will make wonderful gifts for the police officers to put in there car when they in counter children on there calls. Thanks so much. Your a life saver.
Such a fantastic idea! Will be doing this with my younger cousin this easter, lovely project. I'd love to see more little projects like this! Love your channel! x

Thank you so much for making this, I'm a complete beginner and this is so easy to follow and far less daunting than other tutorials I have seen! I'm 17 and just getting into knitting so this is really encouraging :) Take care!
Hi and thank you for this pattern and video. The video is quite clear but the written instructions should add that the body of the bunny gets stuffed too. It is kind of obvious from the pictures but it should say it as well, I think. Again, thanks for all your posts!
Hey, I just made my bunny, but I don't know why ( hoping you know ) when I do just the knit stich if I start out with say 40 after doing some lines I end but with like 43 so I have to k2tg. hope you know what I'm doing wrong. @@gbksgbks1212 Yes. That is correct! :D
So ur telling me i have to do 41 stitches💀💀
@@ayshakhan8776 I'm sorry, what do you mean by stitches?
