I'm sure the money-grabbing folk in the industry tried their best tactics to turn him into a worldwide pop superstar, given his looks voice, and tender age of debut, but to no avail, thank God. He just wants to live a normal life. Greetings from Romania, Irish music is great.

Back in about 2007/08, one of my co-workers came to work very excited....telling me he had a singer that I HAD to hear! My friend being a drummer from England, and me a pretty good singer, were always sharing and comparing singers/musicians, etc. Well he played Amy Winehouse, who up to that point, I had never heard before. As soon as she sang her first notes....I said....."oh....that girl can sing.....she's been listening to Bettye LaVette! Well my friend had never heard of Ms. LaVette....so I pulled her up on You Tube....and he had a fit! You could tell that Amy at some point in her vocal development, had been listening to Bettye, studied her style.....and became a real fan. I have been a fan of Bettye LaVette's for over 50 years; and it was such a sad, sad, tragedy that Amy Winehouse who had that same smooth, bluesy, cool, raw style is no longer with us....R.I.P.

I love the beginning of the song playing the original vocals of Bettye Lavette. She made a great song and Paolo made a great version as well. You can feel it. Props to the band and the back up singers, the backing vocals really make this track pop, that soul, that old motown, that tinge of blues.
