If you mean people talking about how it's too goofy... tbh visually I agree... BUUUUT there are 2 things that I think we should keep in mind: 1) From a story perspective, it serves to show just how unshackled (i.e. FREE) Luffy becomes. So much so he's free even to the limits of reality. Keep in mind that the reason why Luffy wants to be the Pirate King is none other than because that's the freest man in the world. His thing has always been about being free. I think that's what Oda wanted to convey and if anything you have to agree it was done in a unique way. I respect that. 2) I think it was so "goofy" because it was the first time this power was shown, so it wanted to drive home what I said before, but in the future maybe it won't have to be so over-the-top. I mean the last episode (1074)... the thing he did with lightning is still absurd... but it focused much more on how badass that absurdity can be. It proves that even if it is goofy, it can be awesome to watch. So if you're like me and didn't really enjoy visually how gear 5 looked originally, I think if you keep these 2 points in mind, you can look at it from a different perspective. Tbh the more time passes the more I like it. I guess the main thing was it was a shock and someone had already told me "it's goofy" so that's what I was looking for when I saw G5 for the first time.

They should really use this in the final war arc. It’s luffy and the rest of the strawhats standing up ready to take on the five elders and the world government And slowly out of the fog luffys fleet starts to emerge along with anyone who luffy has befriended/saved. Country’s are even taking part in this final war to help luffy. Hundreds of ships sailing to aid the strawhats in the final battle.
I’ve listened to so many covers of this and this one is definitely my favorite! Only thing that would have made this better is the heartbeats at the end.
