The campaign already looks like more fun than the normal one
thats like saying "this steak looks more appetizing than the pile of dogshit on the floor."
This looks like it could easily be my favourite campaign ever. That said taurox will still be tough to top for me

The souls race really isn't a terrible campaign, and I'm pretty sure you know this as well, but anyone would get tired of it after being limited to it for so long. I'm sure people will be returning to it after a while of playing IE just like people occasionally do with the Vortex, though.
@@SleepyFen isn´t terrible... is that why the "deactiveat chaos gates mechanic" is one of the most used mods on the workshop, people were looking for a way around the stupid mechanic from day one and the mechanic was the main part of the campaing.
peoples biggest complaint was that it isn´t a sandbox campaing at all, and thats what TW always was, a strategic sandbox game.
no RoC will make it a beter campaign. even warhamemr 1 was beter

There's no way they won't. We'll likely get one every week leading up to release, and the week of having a bunch of Immortal Empires info.
Azazel's animations are quite something. While he doesn't look conventionally beautiful how he is described in lore, the way he moves gives an impression that he could still charm and dazzle his opponents. Very confident, part masculine part feminine. This is such a great character design.

To be fair wouldn't mortals just see him how he wants? Like they would actually see a unnaturally beautiful hunk, when in reality that is just his true form.
@@xShadowbane451 Well, to some degree I guess. They can present themself in any form they want. I just think that the way Azazel looks is the way people see him also. But even this imposing ugliness isn't enough to outweigh his attraction power. Maybe that's on purpose. Perhaps it entertains and challenges him. If he just made himself look pretty it'd be too easy. This is sort of reinforced by the way he's shown being completely bored at the ongoing battle, but as soon as challenging opponent arrives his eyes light up with excitement.
In the original material, his devotees are indeed ecstatic legions who, umm let's say "swoon" when they see him, and they literally see the most beautiful creature imaginable

I'm not sure they're using anything special other than dev cam, but that's easily unlocked by editing a .ini file or installing a mod.

WH3's release was unfortunate, but knowing how much they improved and expanded WH2 over the years I'm very optimistic for the future of the game.

@@SleepyFen If the fanbase sticks to the game and CA continues to push the envelope like they did with WH2's later expansions, WH3 can absolutely become a master tier TW game, up there with Medieval 2.
I want whoever does the commentary on these videos to do a full campaign over a couple of episodes. I absolutely love him. We want MORE! *_We all wanted MORE!_*
You most likely don't. He's probably a voice actor reading a script (with multiple takes) who has never even played the game.
Honestly wasn't a fan of him... Tries too hard. Editing was on point though.

@@Legatium I thought he was brilliant. And I can see him being either. A lot of letsplayers use scripts when they need to make something short and sweet like this. It's hard to tighten up a campaign video when you're actually reacting on the fly

This genuinely looks fantastic. The ability to upgrade unaligned units into god-focused ones is so flavorful and every time I see the Immortal Empires overworld I find something new to be impressed by. Can't wait for Immortal Empires to come out so I can finally sink my teeth into TW:W3 the way I've been waiting for.
You guys did it, even though they sucked i loved the chaos warriors in this game it seems you got so many things just right that i always fantasized about, great video

This is shaping up to be an amazing DLC. This and IE should breath lots of life into the game.
The new marked units look amazing and the mechanics added look awesome.
Can we get back the old race specific artwork for capture/sack/raise settlements, those gave so much flavour and they are all there waiting to be used
until CA adds them there are always mods. there's a pretty good one that made new capture images for Cathay and Kislev, the monogod capture images are unfortunately just WoC and Norsca images with a coloured filter on.
@@Eclipsed_Embers yeah I've used that mod before I stopped and went back to wh2. Just would be nice as I'm sure it's a pretty easy thing for them to implement

The Warriors of Chaos rework looks already so good and so massive, it really feels like a relaunch. CA is doing right now even more than we asked. If the next DLCs/reworks get his level of attention WH3 is going to be one of the best strategy games we've seen. Even this traler is arguably the best lets play they've put out. It really gives me hope (and hipe) for future content (especially for chaos). Great job CA.
Just need a similar rework to Norsca and VC.

I say have this guy do the campaign Demos and the super-dramatic narrator for the battle demos. The two of them are both endlessly amusing!

I love how aspiring champions can still become chaos spawns. It's never too late to get showered with TOO many gifts.

Surprised they went with another "race-through-portals-to-unlock-a-secret-location-for-a-final-battle" scenario. I liked the Ursun one but it seems like most did not; yet this seems to be basically the same thing. Oh well, I still think this all looks great. This hype though is going to make the next 5 weeks tough, it's like January all over again leading up to launch.
The transformation of the Chaos Warrior factions is the beginning of the redemption of CA. Immortal Empires looks like it is going to be a hell of a good time!

@@srjt1684 problem with bretonia is that if you're born peasant you can't obtain the right to become a knight, i guess it is not loreful...

The editing and cinematic shots in this were really good, by far the best of this series. Glad to see that CA is going all in with IE instead of just giving up on the game like they did with 3K.
They wouldn't give up on WH3 considering it's their main franchise capstone. The people who spread that negative nonsense for months never wanted a good game to begin with and genuinely just wanted the game to fail for their own amusement.

There is one thing that bothers me alot....When he upgraded that Chaos hero to Slaanesh, it looks like he loses the ability to take Manticores (the CA substitute for Chimera). Lore wise, marked Lords and Heroes could still take Chimera, Chaos dragons, ect. They GAIN the ability to use mark-specific mounts, but shouldnt lose anything in the process....Unless they become Daemon Princes, of course. But those who want to just keep their Chaos marked Lords mortal for preference and variety should still have access to all normal mounts, as well as God-specific ones.
As the Chaos dragon is my favorite mount, and I am a Khorne player, it would be very dissapointing if you change into a Khorne Lord but lose half your mount options. This wouldnt make sense. However, I am hoping that, since this is still in development, its just an oversight that will be fixed.

For now I wouldn't be surprised if that's just a trade-off you're going to have to make, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see it changed a bit down the line. We've seen characters get more mount options in response to community requests before.
@@astromancer9819 Graphically, yeah! Check out some of the conversion minis people did, of Khorne Lords riding them! Sweet!
I didnt play 8th edition, I played from 1992-2008 and stopped in 7th edition because I didnt like the direction they were taking things...And in ALL THAT TIME Chaos Lords could take a chaos steed, a daemonic mount of their patron God, a Chimera, or a Chaos dragon, whether they were undivided or marked didnt matter.
And I REALLY hope it doesnt matter here. So I hope people speak up on this while there is still time for them to fix this issue. It would be a minor fix, but it would be a major problem.....Once people start playing, and see their beloved Manticores or Dragons go out the window with a mark, THEN they would probably start speaking out about it. I just happened to notice it here in these early access screenshots. They really dont even need to be reskins....But they DO need to be there for all Chaos Lords and Heroes. LOL A mark wouldnt make them forget how to ride these beasts, or give up a steed they risked their lives to break either...So the move doesnt make sense from either a gameplay or lore perspective as it is.
@@SleepyFen Losing 2 awesome flying mounts for a small stat buff and one Deamon mount isn't a good trade off at all. Its not TT OR Lore friendly either. Chaos Lords are supposed to retain those mount options and ADD the third with the mark as an option. Not trade two for one.
I am really hoping this is an early access oversight, but mark my words- If it IS the way they are going with it, after the hype buzz settles down a bit people are going to be very unhappy in this change. The cosmetics are cool, but overall your trading in superior mount options for a cooler looking Lord that has far fewer and less versatile options.
We need to point it out to CA while its still early enough for them to catch.

The writing is improved, I can give it that much. The issue I have is: why does this even need a narrator? It's supposedly a Lets Play video, but there's hardly any gameplay; it's pure marketing BS of the same kind CA was criticised for when they were faking gameplay for Rome 2.
Love the little bouts of comedic touches here and there, really adds so much more flair onto an already hype trailer

The warband upgrade UI not showing the stats of the base unit and of that you're trying to upgrade it to is quite problematic.
