I wish I knew what that unusual harmony is at 2:01, but SO many covers of this song skip right over it and it’s the highlight of the whole track for me. Nice job!
Dude that sweeping thing at 1:25 is so sick 🤘. I’ve been listening to the album on Spotify and I thought you were playing it pppima and dragging a down, kinda like that part in the Aranjuez
One of my favorite tracks in FFXIV... I love how both this and Pandaemonium have a hint of Amaurot theme in it... Such a beautiful yet subtle connection. And they're all played on piano. Amazing arrangement & cover!
I bought your Endwalker covers album off of iTunes the day it came out. I've listened to it nearly every day since and it never fails to stir the emotions that I first felt playing through the expansion. Thank you again for these beautiful covers!
Loving all of the Endwalker covers! Elpis was such a meaningful zone for me, the music especially. The different melodies from other songs weaving with the Elpis theme hits so emotionally for me. As always, love how in tune your soul feels with the songs as you perform them
Spent the better part of last year writing my first fantasy book and I write to your music most days. The latest album is another to add to the rotation, keep at it!
Ooooo that technique at 1:25 looks fun to learn! Edit: Super easy actually, haha. The overlap with this and Elpis night theme is cool, I've never played the game but they feel connected.
Its a technique called "arastre", its quite difficult to perfect even a single motion, let alone circling it like that several times. Cheers, John. Great performance and arrangement, brother. Edit: its spelled arrastre. Two R's. Lol
Though, watching it a second time, it seems John performs it in a unique way. Normally the upward "dragging" is done with the "A" (ring finger). Still, well done.
@@chrismuratore4451 Thank you for your kind enlightenment. I've looked up the technique "arrastre", and visually understood what you kindly explained! Amazing!

Wow... minor notes sneaking in, surprised me, and then my ears perceived water circulating into the drain. Brilliant!

Every one of your endwalker covers gives me shivers
This song keeps reminding me how much I want to go back to Elpis.

Your FFXIV covers are so lovely! I hope you'll consider doing Amaurot's theme someday!
Good news, he has done this one! If you go to his channel, it's called "Neath Dark Waters."
