Can this work with a texture to? Say a curtain made out of a plain? Now I can only see one site of the curtain because UE ignores the back face. Thank you for this clear tutorial. Very nice!
I'm back and I'm never going away! From here on, I plan to do as many tutorials as I can per week. I've also upgraded my PC and from now on you'll be able to watch tutorials in up to 4k quality. Thanks for the support! Tesla.
I'm looking for a Tut. Create a cube, Cubes have 6 sides, I want to texture each side, water, moss, wood, stone, light or glow, and glass. I was able to do it by using Unreal Engine 2.0 & 2.5. Why not in Unreal Engine 4? Or It's possible as it's there, but I don't know as I'm still looking for it how to do it for awhile now.
"So that I don't have to spend eternity doing it" - 4 years later... are you still checking boxes? Or did you find another way... : ) Just curious. Best of luck.
Vefry useful! I was wondering how to tackle a hat I'd modelled in Maya and considering creating a whole mesh topology for the inside of the hat on the off chance that the player would see it lying on the ground or something like that. Seems like wasted polygons for edge cases - but better than seeing through the hat, right? But I'm thinking this will help a lot in reducing the amount of polys on the hat yet still having visible textures on both sides. Now I just gotta figure out how to paint textures on the 'inside' UVs and I'm good to go. ;) Thanks
hi man, i love your tutorials, so quick and straightforward. but im having a hard time listening to those shortcuts when you click in the mesh editor. :'v
awesome fast simple and easy
thanks a lot
I wish every tutorial video was as clear and straight to the point as this one. Legend. Thanks mate
Really helpful, especially the two sided material thingy. Subbed!
Thank you so much for making this perfect length; straight to the point!
Thanks 🤌
thanks a lot
thank you!!!!
how do you flip one side? I have a sign that I want to show on both sides but one side is always backwards
Your tutorials are always very easy to follow thank you and welcome back.
+David Mullins Thanks David!
super helpful for dataprep - thank you!
That's not the wae my brotha. Right node for this is called "TwoSidedTexturing" which actually separate two sides of two sided material
ahhh... thank you. that saved me!

Tesla.
Is there a way to use two different textures instead of just color? Would love to see that!
Can you bake different light maps for each side?

Question here: How can I check the Two Sided box for multiple materials at once so that I don't have to spend eternity doing it one at a time?
