My 1987 LT250R Restoration

- My first youtube upload. Thought it would be fitting for it to be my LT250R. Anyway This is my 1987 LT250R, Just about everything is powedercoated and a bit of chrome plating. Ported and polished, 38mm Keihin air striker carb, no airbox, wiseco piston, VForce 3 Carbon Fiber Reeds, Paul Turner full exhaust, lightened and balaced flywheel, Hinson Billet Proof Clutch, Works front shocks. And other odds and ends I don't feel like listing, lol. Oh frame color is lighting blue if anyone is wondering, it's chrome plating with powdercoating over it.

o like how the front plastics are pushed up and out gives it more of a raptor feel but not the same look... anyways very nice bike

nice 4 wheeler. looks more like a lt250r. and i just got a 1987 250r the engine is all stock besides KandN air filter and a pro circuit 304 full exhaust system but many all body parts are aftermarket got for 1600 thought it was a steal until i found out 1 and 1/2 hour riding it. it didnt want to idle and the carb just keeps gushing in fuel so it floods so bad. but got it in the shop now hopefully it doesnt leave to big of a bruise in my wallet.
I have that same quad, and me and my buddy arent really gonna restore it like yours, but where gonne make it sun, and buff out some scratches.. haha.. not as far. but that looks awesome, good work

man i jus got a 1988 lt250 and everything is wrong with it, the suspension mount bar was like broke off and re welded on, its got yfz suspension on the front, the exhaust doesnt fit, .. its got extended a arms and axles and looks good, im just mad because all the problems, i need help you think its even worth rebuilding?, i may need a whole new frame exhaust and some

Just got a 1987 lt250r and was wondering if a 88 thru 92 Crank and rod would work in the 87 model. If you can will you let me know and were you get your flywheel at?
hey i have an 87 lt250r and was wondering if i could convert the twist throttle that's on it to a thumb throttle. I dont like the twist throttle because you dont get as much control with it. If you can please get back to me id really appreciate it. thank you!

were did you get your reeds at and how much did they cost if you even replaced them
are those just plain maier yellow race cut fenders? they seem darker then normal
great job first off! i have an 87 quadracer as well. what is the best place for replacement parts. they don't necessarily have to be o.m. parts, but good parts. do you have any suggestions on a place to shop?

do the lt 250 engines last a long time or do they brake down a lot like a Yamaha banshee?
