Absolutely. The military needs to take advantage of the popularity of UA-cam with an age group of people best suited to serve. Let people film vids and content like this. Easy, simple, entertaining, no classified info, good to go.
Trust me they are doing a lot more than a dumb poster at the post office. You are not their target audience so you aren't going to see their advertisements.
Guys, I hate to break it to you, but that is exactly why they let him do this. There's a whole army (pun intended) of military Instagram influencers for this very reason. They're not dumb, they know exactly what they're doing.
You should see high tempo helicopter ops in the Army. Nothing like all those rotor blades spinning over head to make you a foot shorter if you're not careful to keep your head on a swivel and do everything safely. Fly Army.
Any time I see someone operating a fighter, I think "god, what a job. I'd love to be able to do that". So cool and even better that you're allowed to release this content!

My grandfather, the man who raised me, was a Navy man of 23 years. He was AO (Aviation ordinance) and had some wicked stories to tell, especially since he served in the Vietnam era. Growing up in Norfolk, VA, we were always around the military in some way. It never ceases to amaze me to this day, just how well they communicate and how hard these men and women work, day in, day out. Thank you for your service, and thank you for sharing content with us civvies that let us see the other side!

I will say Pail's comments are absolutely the best out there for explaining carrier operations. Clear and concise for us out here. I'm sure these were approved by the Navy and hopefully not giving any information to the bad guys. Keep em' coming!

😛 My closed eyes found my toes with... Oh, that very sweet feeling inside of me and the laughs 😂 No wonder I loved your channel right away after watching two-three jams. And it isn't a passing feeling. I still love watching your jams in the same way. 💜 I can already remember the jams quite well, but still... I wanna watch them again and again, like my favorite movies. TY. 💋😊💗
My brother in law flew Helo’s off from US Naval Air Craft Carriers in the Gulf War and the Iraq conflict. He was a Lieutenant JG in the Navy and when a pilot would go overboard, the helicopter would effect a search and deploy divers to make a rescue. He also was in charge of a unit that deployed “Soni-bouys” that were used to detect Soviet Submarines. I really admire the work of these Pilots and Support Staff in keeping the Navy ship shape.
Sleeves on the flight suit rolled up for a flight on a nice clear day.... going with the sins out guns out. Plus a couple of signature moves to impress the flight deck crew with your guns. 😂 The flight deck in action is great to watch. It was great to actually see it in person. The night time flight deck is a whole new level of intensity. Love the videos

Just as our cries to Nam was winding down I went on a hope in one of the squadrons A3’s reconfigured for inflight refueling! It gave me stories that I still tell 56 years latter! Just launch and fly circles waiting for someone wants a drink of JP5! Then land back on the carrier and I was a class four swimmer afraid I would drown!
I love now and always have the opera of the flight deck. I was an OS on Kitty Hawk cv-63 and there for four years. I loved being an AIC and a strike controller, But pilots and NFO's were highly respected.
That was really cool. Love your channel pail. Watching the parked hornets/ growlers as you catapulted was AWESOME. Twenty more seconds flying time after you shoot off would be appreciated. Just love flight 🛩🍺
Te running commentary is really informative. Especially regarding the deck crew. Everything is structured to the last movement. This time I learned the Director cannot move and direct at the same time. It makes perfect sense.
Excellent commentary. I still can't believe you take the CAT Shot with your right hand on the canopy rail. Stick would come back in my lap and would grip right away. Old school, old a/c!
