May not seem like much but that’s one hell of a job by that director. Recognizing the discomfort of the pilot and reestablishing that comfort. 👏👏👏 What every pilot wants!!

I remember giving that “chest thump” (that’s what my command called it) to a couple of pilots. 🤣❤️ Seeing you nod back n stop looking at your wingtip brought me right back to the Midway’s flight deck!!! 🤩 Few things to this former Petty Officer were as cool as having a pilot’s implicit trust! Hey Tee, I also often go back to the old jams. Never get tired of watching them.
I've had a rough month. My ex husband was in a very bad accident and passed away before he got to hospital . 25th April. He and his wife were training 2 young percherons in a wagon and they had a terrible accident. They ran Boomerang Riding Adventures out of Colossal Caves Mountain Adventures. His wife is still trying to keep the business running. My youngest son that lives in London was able to go over there for his dads send off. I wished I could have gone over there. His wife will be coming to Australia in September with his remaining ashes. It was a huge shock to everyone, but he left this world doing what he loved.

    Back at ya brother!!
I come from a family of aviators, my father was the class of 50 from the Naval Academy, he flew the A-3 (which you know held nukes) off the USS Independence. He also flew the A-4 and then he got out of that and flew the P-2 out of Maine (PT-21 squadron).
His claim to fame was on the way escorting the Cuban missiles back to Russia that a female sailor gave him in a hand gesture.
He in turn dropped down to about 150 feet and then kindly returned the gesture :)
I love our military and I can't put into words how much I love great guys like you who put this in perspective.
I am John Satre Class of 1984 from VMI

I love this jam really much!!! 💜💜💜 Your narrating is superfunny and as top as it can be!! 💯💯🔥
Thank you for explaining the difference between the Growler and the Super Hornet. I'd never had got that on my own.
Your "over -editing" with all the colors, shapes, texts, deck map, etc. helps and makes it so much easier to follow and understand what's going on on deck, so please keep doing all "over-editing" in the new jams!!👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for the captions. They're very helpful, especially with the aviation vocabulary!! When you launched this jam, I was working on the PD and I realized how incredibly helpful the captions are for me with all aviation terms etc. I was just about to start to write a comment into one of the previous jams to thank you for all the captions you've done in jams!! 🍻
Now that I'm used to having the captions, I wouldn't wanna be without! 😅
Yes, I'm one of your ASMR -fans, your the BEST!!💯💥 For me, your voice is the key. When you're editing the jams, I'd just wish you'd set the music lower than your voice is, that I could've easily hear your narrating.
In some jams, the music is in a big role, like in the Sunset vo. It wouldn't be the same without the music. But I guess I can say the same with the OCF and the Gameday jams; they wouldn't be the same without the music.
With this vintage jam narration, you gave me a really sweet and genuine smile and also laughing!! 😂 I wasn't expecting to laugh in that sweet way today. At 2:03, "Oh jeez...", I realized the tears were falling on my cheeks because of the way I was laughing, lol!!💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 💞💞💞 It's already Friday morning over here, so I can honestly say that you made my day for the second day in a row! Thank you!! 💜
And thank you for this jam, appreciate your time & effort, superfunny!! 😂 🤍✈️⚓

Here's a big lesson from this video for folks who aren't pilots, but still need to perform under stress: notice how he narrates what he's doing. This is key. Your internal monologue should be a series of clean commands, spoken in a soft voice.
It's as if you're instructing a child inside your head. It should be a sterile cockpit too; no commentary about anything irrelevant to what's happening in your field of view that isn't necessary to perform your task at hand ("oh look, a bird!").
He's using the same mindset Olympians use for optimal performance. Great content.

Fly Navy! It's always awesome seeing your videos.. it shows how intense the whole operation is but how calm you stay. I know that being calm is critical to you staying alive, but it is still amazing to watch. You are appreciated.. for your service and for sharing it with us!! Stay safe!

I'm a fairly arrogant Man however I couldn't do your job. I am, however, thankful for your saving my arse and my brothers on many occasion. I'm old now and never thought I'd see fifty. Lack of effort on my part.
    Wonderful channel Sir.

Pail, Excellent video as always. As a retired Vark Fixer, Love the pure raw sounds of the cockpit with a double engine run. THAT is the real 'music', the real sounds of avionics and those F414's (TF30's in my case). Pilot and/or a Maintainer's oneness with the machine was a pure heaven like experience and I miss it.

We walked the flight deck of CVN70 today while docked in LA Harbor and it was awesome!! It's hard to imagine how big the "boat" really is until you actually are standing on it or inside the hangar bay. You also realize how big it is when you look over the edge of the flight deck and down towards the waterline. Yikes, that's a long way down! But no worries, Fly Navy!

Currently going through the process of deciding if I want to fly navy or not. Planning on going to my nearest officer recruiter soon. Fighter jets, e-6s, p-8s, all aircraft that I love to see in action and would love to fly someday! I just hope that my uncorrected vision won’t be a problem or I can get lasik!!

I’m going into 8th grade but it is my dream to become a pilot for the navy. Right now all I can do is play flight sims and keep my grades up. You are one of my favorite UA-camrs and I hope someday I can have a job as a naval aviator like you.

"Oh jeez" (and the whole chapter) sounds so, so awesome, the very Best, and gets me smile, laugh & my eyes shine every single time I hear it!!!😊😂 I like to make many kind of handcraft items either for myself or as a gift for my family and friends. Now I wanna do something with "Oh jeez" on it. I'm sure, it'll remind me of this jam 💖, and makes me smile where ever I am...!!

Love this channel. Amazing. I grew up in Port Orchard across from the Bremerton Naval Base. Carrier's you to tests catapults and those plans launched on the right side of the deck always flew over the house. Very familiar with the F-18 engine tones. Cheers, and thank you for such an insightful view for once was a dream.
