Thank you so much!!! You're an absolute legend! Think I requested two weeks or so back for a tutorial on one of these. Never expected to see a tutorial on it this quickly though lol. You guys are certainly considering the requests of your subscribers and this is something special. The tutorial was fantastically done and the end product absolutely Beautiful. Keep up the awesome work! It is my wish to see this channel grow to be the biggest upholstery channel on UA-cam in time. Warm Regards Alawhie South Africa
Hi Alawhie! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks so much for watching! That’s such a nice thing to say, you’re too kind 😊 we really appreciate your support, it really means a lot!
Since you are stapling multiple rows of fabric into the same channel, how do you or is it even possible to avoid hitting previous staples with the second layer of staples?
UA-cam has changed the way they monetize my content. My channel now needs 1,000 subscribers so it would be amazing if you could show your support by both watching my videos and subscribing to my channel! Monetizing my videos allows me to invest back into the channel with new equipment to improve the viewing quality so a small gesture from you goes a huge way for me :-) Many thanks for your support!
Hi Joel - no the easiest way I find is to do them on separate wood boards like you’ve said. Sometimes depending on design, it’s not possible to do it that way but it is definitely easier!! Here’s a video using that technique ua-cam.com/video/Mp2AnqLXfCc/v-deo.html
Hey Dawn! I used 2 inch white foam and then half inch blue over the top to round the channels out. The saw I used was a plunge saw to create the lines to follow with the staples. The link to the saw is in the description of the video 😊 thanks for watching and for your comment - it’s really appreciated!
Hi there! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - I’ve made a more recent video on this style headboard that I think might be easier to follow…the link is here (should hopefully answer your questions too!) ua-cam.com/video/Mp2AnqLXfCc/v-deo.html
Hi Alanna! It’s called cardboard strip or back tack (I’ve put a link to it in the description of the video). We use it to create a nice clean straight line when you pull the fabric over on the channels. Hope that helps! 😊👍🏻
Hey! This one was fixed to the bed frame but if you were to fix it to the wall, I’d attach a baton to the wall and fix the headboard to it with strong Velcro. So it can be removed if need be. I briefly describe it in this video here at 10:52 ua-cam.com/video/ceSr7pSVOJ0/v-deo.html hope this helps!
Fantastic work bro! Respect to you for the description and explanation done during the process. Btw, how may thousands of staples fit in the gun you’re using? 😂 Is it possible to complete the similar tufting job with the electric staple gun from Aldi/Lidl or not? Thanks and subscribing to your channel now!
Thank you for watching and for the kind comment, it’s appreciated 😊👍🏻 I have seen people use those kinds of staple guns to do upholstery projects on here and they seem to work for them. However, you can’t put long staples into those guns, which help fire further into the wood to keep the fabric secure so you fun the risk of the staples popping out. If it’s going into hard wood, it probably wouldn’t go in at all. It would also be hard on your hands after a while 🤣 thanks for the sub!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Davida - apologies for not providing enough info in this video. I have made an updated version of this style headboard that might be slightly easier to follow with measurements: ua-cam.com/video/Mp2AnqLXfCc/v-deo.html

Gorgeous! Can you do a video on how to incorporate hardware into an upholstered headboard so that it can attach to any bed frame?
Can you make a video making one for a round 7ft backdrop stand ?!
Since you are stapling multiple rows of fabric into the same channel, how do you or is it even possible to avoid hitting previous staples with the second layer of staples?
Sometimes they bounce off each other but its rare! 🙏🪡🧵⛏️📎🙌
Gorgeous work
Thank you Rachell 😊🙏🏻

Thank you for the video! Where did you get the fabric from?
Thank you for watching! It’s by John Brown called ‘Modena’ 😊
Is this easier than to do each channel on a separate wood board and then attach them to one long board?

Beautiful I love it great job.
Thank you so much! Very kind 😊👍🏻
Looks amazing
Thank you Lisa! Thanks for watching 😊🙏🏻

Good day how many yards of material did you use and is this for a double bed?
Hi Johnique! It was roughly 4 metres of fabric (I’m not sure what the converts to yardage?) and it was for a double bed 😊👍🏻
Gorgeous!
Thank you so much Jerri! 😊👍🏻
Laura Ashley Camber, I used to make them at Welbeck House, sadly no more.
Nice job!!
Thanks Anna! 😊
How thick is the yellow foam and the soft white cotton? Love this thickness also how many inches across are the flutes?

Why do you use a yellow stripe between channels and what kind of stripe is it ?
Hi Alanna! It’s called cardboard strip or back tack (I’ve put a link to it in the description of the video). We use it to create a nice clean straight line when you pull the fabric over on the channels. Hope that helps! 😊👍🏻
You do great job if possible pos tell about measurement
Hi there! This headboard was made for a double bed (standard sized double bed) and each channel was around 6-7inches wide. I hope this helps!!
I used to do them headboards. There laura ashley. Called camber headboards. Looks nice mate 👍
Hi Iain! Nice to hear from you! How’s it all going? Did you manage to sort your sewing machine out?
@@faceliftinteriors not yet neil. I need a proper industrial one tbh. Hows work , busy i hope mate 👍
Yea they’re not cheap are they! Yea it’s going well, getting busier. Are you still busy?
@@faceliftinteriors not cheap at all 🤣 yeah busy . Cant complain mate
Ahh good for you mate, happy to hear it 👍🏻 are you still working for yourself?
What's the purpose of the cardboard strip?
Hi Christian! I used the cardboard strip on this one to get a clean edge when you pull the fabric over.
@@faceliftinteriors Ah, I see 👌 Any particular cardboard used?
I use upholsterers backtack or cardboard strip 👍🏻
How do you fix the headboard to the wall?
