I have watched so many upholstery videos and I am so pick because well my dad does upholstery in California and he is such a perfectionist. But most UA-cam leave wrinkles or many fabric lumps. You are really good😍 I hope to one day have that skill♥️
it's so cool to watch. this is not the kind of style i want to make for my headboard but i am still watching for different techniques. I wonder what was the cost of materials for something like this. Leather must be expensive...
I am a new subscriber and I have been binge watching all of your videos, now to see that you just posted a new video has me excited. Your work is awesome. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. Be blessed!!!
one of the best ujpholstery youtube channels out there! Still waiting to see your technique for a "through hole" in upholstery - like a breathe hole in a massage table. Can't make mine look good
That was excellent! I’m attempting my own and you have described the steps perfectly. Can you briefly describe the construction of the board you upholstered onto. Thickness of plywood ect. Thank you
Thanks for sharing. I like the cardboard strips technique. I plan to do an arch headboard with segments like your channels. But I suggest using bedrail hardware to make assembly and disassembly more robust.
good job teacher thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience congratulations for your channel I hope to continue uploading more videos greetings from mexico
Hello Darren, how would you entirely cover wardrobe doors or cupboards with top stitched faux leather without the tufted effect . Would you use some sort of glue or a staple gun? I would love a video on that topic!Thank you for your amazing work!
Hello! Just stumbled across your video. I have a question about the leather on the bottom side rails….. I noticed the piece you used to cover it was stitched together. Did you stitch it together yourself??
Beautiful job! Im going to try to do this to my pre-existing headboard.😬 all I have is scissors, spray adhesive in a can and a staple gun. Wish me luck!
He showed that. Once he tacked the first piece of gray leather down he flipped the next piece upsidedown on top of it. You can see it's blueish underside is facing up. He then stapled through the underside up leather, the previous leather and the cardboard strip, then laid another piece of cardboard strip on top of the same edge, to keep the new leather edge straight, and stapled it down. The only place where he did not put a second strip of cardboard was where the wood was. He proceeded to glue and lay down the next piece of foam, then a layer of polyester on top of it, and flipped the leather over them both so that the grayish side of the leather was then facing up. He finished that channel by stapling down the leather to the next cardboard strip that he had laid down in the beginning. That is what I saw. I hope that helps.
The most important part that I want to see you keep editing out .. how do you staple on the inner part closer to the preceding channel? You show just the outer part
Seems you took that question right out my mouth. I watched patiently thinking he'll show it but he didn't. Trade secret? I guess I'll use the easier method which does it as individual channels and then glues them onto the backing panel.
sehr schön......unsere Betten hätten sowas auch nötig.....aber da sie schon älter sind und nicht mehr so richtig zu uns passen, werden sie ersetzt.........
I’ve been a fan for a long time love your work. I want to make a circular back drop with the same channelling. My question is what is the wood made out of? And can I use MDF because the back drop needs to be light and easy to handle (movable). What’s your suggestion?
I bet your hands must get tired after pulling the slack out of the vinyl like that over and over! Are there any mains/battery staple guns up to this kind of job? Or do you have to commit to a compressor?
Wow, that's beautiful work. What are the dimensions of that headboard? It looks so big. It seems like it would be very heavy and difficult to maneuver.
I have a question about the inside part that is beside the piece you just attached. You dont show how you staple there. Do you staple there I assume you must?
OMG FINALLY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING! Thank you!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Am saying🙏
You make it seem so easy and with the confidence you set up the pieces....really inspiring
Thank you!

Very Nice and clean work
Master class! Bravo.

Loved this video! If your strips are 10 inches wide on the headboard, how wide are your fabric strips? 14 inches? Thanks!
Why is this so relaxing 😊 it was very therapeutic and lovely

Very delicate... Luks nice but the joints are too weak.. Small screws.. Will it hold up for long...

Hi, what size compressor are you using please?
Is there 1/2 foam on top and bottom or just the sides? What size plywood do you use? 1/2 inch?
good job teacher thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience congratulations for your channel I hope to continue uploading more videos greetings from mexico

Amazing CLEAN work! About how many yards of Fabic is needed for a project such as this one?
Would the mattress need support down the center of the frame?
Beautiful job! Im going to try to do this to my pre-existing headboard.😬 all I have is scissors, spray adhesive in a can and a staple gun. Wish me luck!
I'm preparing to make one. How did yours come out? 😊
I'd have liked to see how you went about attaching the leather on both sides of the channels, particularly where they butt up next to each other.
He showed that. Once he tacked the first piece of gray leather down he flipped the next piece upsidedown on top of it. You can see it's blueish underside is facing up. He shows it at 6:32. He has the fabric upside down over the preceding channel, staples down the inner seam, then folds over.
@@chrissyface618 thank you I watched over and over like what am I missing

Beautiful work!
thanks i have learnt how to make large rails without using huge wood
How do you stable the ones in between? So sorry I didn't get it. 😊

yes, Job well done, I thought I could make one till I watched this and realized myself i could not, Very Beautiful Bed though
Beautiful headboard. Thank you for sharing. 👍
Amazing work as always
Супер. Какой толщины поролон? Какой толщины синтепон? Спасибо за видео. Лайк.
В чем супер? вся в волнах, в жмульках, логичнее сделать модульную из отдельных частей

I want to do a backdrop too
How long did this project take u beginning to end?
How did you begin making furniture? You truly found your calling!

Very helpful!
Wow. Amazing work
How wide did you cut your fabric strip's? Was it the same width as the foam or slightly bigger?
Many thanks
I love your work. So nice and neat. I want this headboard
This is the same style bed I would like to build. Do you sell blueprints for the bed frames and how to upholster? I would defiantly purchase it.
Hello Darren
I would like to learn from you, tell me if it is possible.
Thanks
Awesome work!!!! Thank you for sharing!

Awesome work! How thick is that foam? 2"?
I bet your hands must get tired after pulling the slack out of the vinyl like that over and over! Are there any mains/battery staple guns up to this kind of job? Or do you have to commit to a compressor?
I live in Vaughan, do you make beds like this (without the headboard) for sale? What is the price?
Nice work. I would like to see how you built the frame for the side rails. Obviously there is more to it than what you have shown.
Do you have a tutorial of the same style but all squares? I did every square separate. Do you do it the same as you did with the cardboard strips?
it looks great 👍🏼
How thick is this foam? 1 inch maybe? Or 2 ? I want to adapt this into something I want to make
Can you pls show where the foam attatch and also the leather on the cardboard
It looks like the foam goes between the cardboards, and the leather is attached on top of the cardboards. He feels the cardboard under the leather.
Однозначно, работа мастера!
Thank you
Darren
So happy! An upload!

How wide did you cut each piece of fabric?

Hello , please how to assemble 4 pieces of MDF of 2,70 m for bed
Wow, that's beautiful work. What are the dimensions of that headboard? It looks so big. It seems like it would be very heavy and difficult to maneuver.
How much fabric did you use to make this piece?
Holaaaaa me gustaría que hiciera uno muebles con ess técnica o diseño
How much would a headboard like this (size & style) cost?
how thick is the wood for the bed frame?
Great video as always!
What type of nails did you use in your staple gun?
So neat
I have a question about the inside part that is beside the piece you just attached. You dont show how you staple there. Do you staple there I assume you must?
Or is that velvety material the backside of the leather?
@@Tania689
Yes. He flips it over the foam. So the strip of cardboard is on the inside of the leather.
Thank you!
Beautiful work
thank you
Very nice!

Literally what I want to make in emerald green velvet. How long did this process take? I’ll assume it’ll be twice as long for me. ✌🏾
