Thanks for another wonderful vlog. The Dahlia cardi is beautiful! Love the socks, especially the brightly colored pair. I hope your son will cherish the mitered square blanket when he gets older. Billy is so adorable.
What a beautiful Dahlia cardi, lovely color for you. Very exciting that your son's blanket is almost finished! Your birthday book looks really good. Will look forward to your stash video 💛
Hi Ina (and Billy)! I’m really enjoying watching your Farnham sweater evolve. It has such an elegant and classy look to it. Pink is a wonderful colour on you and I’m sure that you will turn heads when you get to wear your Daliah sweater. Both sweaters are such wonderful choices for you. It’s always a pleasure to see the progress on your son’s mitered square blanket. It is encouraging to see other knitters persevere with a longer-term project through to completion. I also remember the video that you shared about evaluating older projects and not being afraid to frog a project that we are no longer in love with. All this to say, that the videos you share are so helpful to knitters like me. Thank you! ❤ Happy moving! I’m excited for you and your partner. ❤
Thank you so much, Kathleen!💕 Knowing that my show and tell about my knitting is helpful or inspirational makes all the difference🤩 I love when others are honest about their crafting projects too. We all make mistakes or have a change of mind sometimes.
Hi Ina, thanks for the video! Enjoyed your sailing reels on Instagram, especially the views of the towns you sailed by. So pretty, and the skies were so blue! Look forward to your next adventure.
Your knitting is inspiring as always, Ina. Loved seeing Billy nest in your gorgeous blanket ;-). Wishing you well on the move. It can be such a stressful but exiting time. ❤
Belated happy birthday wishes. Love that Billy spotted the blanket and plonked himself straight down; I’m sure it was pure altruism on his part and he was just making sure that it had the correct snuggle factor before it is given to your Son! Your boating adventure looked very relaxing, I’m glad your first experience turned out so well. Good luck with the move (if we don’t see you before), J
Thank you Ina for such an enjoyable and comprehensive podcast. I’m so glad you enjoyed the sail with no sickness. The pictures were beautiful. All of your projects look great. I started a mitered square blanket years ago and it has been in time out. I wish I had done the borders because it makes a huge difference. Maybe I will bring it down to my knitting spot. Certainly Billie thinks it cozy and wonderful. Looking forward to next time, Eileen ps thanks for the podcast recommendation!😊
New viewer. Enjoyed your podcast, loved your Daliah cardigan. It’s a beautiful colour and looks very light and airy. Your son’s blanket is beautiful too. Definitely a labour of love which I’m sure he’ll cherish especially as he’s seen the years of work to create it. ‘Only’ 2 more rows (lots of squares) to go :). Good luck with all the packing.
Ina, your videos are always a delight. I don't know how you have the time to accomplish so much. Best wishes on your big move. I don't envy all the work it cause you, however. That pink sweater is so scrumptious and will look so lovely on you. I recently started working on a Prism Blanket design from Purl Soho. It's taking so much longer than I thought it would. I find it difficult to maintain momentum when working on a blanket. Sweaters are so much more fun.
Thank you so much💕 I agree about those blankets, although I find it different with the mitered square, as I feel like I have finished something even if it's just one square (or a row, which feels like a bigger accomplishment) ☺️
Exciting times ahead for you & your new blended family! It’s nice to see you so happy! I enjoyed following along with your sailing adventure. Hopefully, they’ll be many more in your future. My Mother-in-law often used the patch when doing big sails, like when they did the Atlantic crossing. Recently, my son was in Australia & had a boat trip out to the Great Barrier Reef for 3 days of diving. Literally everyone on board was sick for the entire trip out! I’ve since heard that it’s not uncommon for that trip. But thankfully, it’s fine on the return! Looks like Billy needs his own blanket! I couldn’t help but notice how he curled up nicely on top of the one for your son! 😁
Exciting times indeed! Thank you for cheering us along, Joanne🥰 The patch worked wonders, did your son use this on his sailing? And yes, Billy definitely need his own blanket, and in the meantime, he’s welcome to cuddle up on any blankets in our home☺️
Your Mitered Square blanket is wonderful! I will have to go look up your tutorial! Crossing my fingers for you that you have enough yarn to finish your Dahlia Cardi! If you don’t get the chance to post a video before you move, best wishes for your move and congratulations! 🌹
Hello Ina! Thanks for your time and sharing your knitting. I am a long time viewer of your videos. I found you along time ago during Vlogmas. I can see you are very into the color pink now. As a red head I do not have much pink in my wardrobe. Happy knitting from Indiana.
Hello Ina, nice to see that you survived your sailing adventure and found it enjoyable! I love your chunky dahlia cardigan, such a beautiful colour which suits you so well. I have some similar pink Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk in my stash, and I am wondering if this would be a good substitute for the brand you are using (although probably not such a nice quality as yours). I also find inspiration for patterns from watching podcasts, so thank you for your recommendation. I am glad that she does one in english. A recent one I found is Danish Musings. She does travel blogs as well as knitting, and some of her recent sweaters are exquisite. You may already know of her. Keep showing that blanket! I haven’t touched mine in weeks, and seeing yours always makes me want to work on it. I am also keen to see how you finish it off. Although it will be a long time really before I need to know! Good luck with your move and combining your lovely families. I wish you all well and look forward to seeing you in your new home. ❤
Thank you so much for your sweet words, Margaret! I do think that the Brushed Alpaca Silk will be a good substitute for the yarn I'm using. If I recall correctly, it has about the same lightness/density and feel to it, as well as yardage. Thanks for the podcast recommendation! I have watched a couple of her videos, SO wonderful. Her English is amazing, as is her knitting! Happy knitting, have a great weekend
Having spent the past 1 1/2 years divesting myself of many items accumulated during the 45+ years in my home, I can appreciate what you are going through in preparation for your move! Once it's behind you, you'll wonder how you ever survived it, promise to avoid acquiring more things and in another 10-15 years be in the same position again!! For most people it's inevitable, so just enjoy your new life😊 And by the way although you're Norwegian, you sure had "the luck of the Irish with the yarn for your pink cardigan! Can't wait to see you wearing it!! Vaer glad. (Sorry, my keyboard wouldn't do the first word properly)
I agree, there are sooo many items generated in a home after some years🙈 Clearing out a house is a huge undertaking. Fortunately, we started preparing, tidying up and sorted stuff already in February. And we have made a detailed plan for the move itself, which will be carried out with great help from family and friends. Fingers crossed for a relatively smooth move😅
Thank you!! It’s such a calming joy to watch you. Enjoy all yr choices. Keep going Ina as long as it brings you joy and inspiration.
