    An amazing review there, mate.
    It looks really clunky to use, but the spirit is so strong, you actually want the quirks, bugs and errors.
    It always reminds me of Trevor Horn and The Art of Noise.
    Many thanks.

    Eighties-mungous Doug! Thanks! Have been listening to Yes' 90125 produced by Trevor Horn lately when running. These sounds are all over that incredible album.

    Really wish there was a wave export function. Didn’t realize I was going to have to externally record the iPad

    1:33 I never knew a virtual instrument was capable of setting itself on fire! Interesting! Does that really happen when you select the wrong voltage requirements? I wonder if that happens with any other synth emulators.

      @@kishazirka I am guessing the original would have had an option for 230V or so for Australia and England and 115V for the USA. I can see how the wrong choice could lead to a fire lol

    Does anyone else think it's funny that Fairlight sampled the "Beat It" sound from a Synclavier? It's that sound you've got on channel / track 6. :)

    Does anyone use this app currently? The most recent reviews say it’s not working well with most iOS. Does anyone have another iPad app that has Fairlight sounds? Thanks!

    Hi There this is Mr C. T. Boxill-Harris, I was wondering if they need to do the exact same version of Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime, why don’t they just Replace the Synthesiser String Sound to an Musette Accordion sound, and also Replace the Xylophone Sound to an 4 Times More Deeper Chime Bell or Even a 5 Times More Deeper Still Drum Sound, Because it is Still my Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Favourite Song Ever Since I was about 11 Years of Age Thank You 😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏😉👍😉👏👏

    Price kills it and even the recent user reviews for this synth are bad. Crashing apparently. I seem to recall the crashing is such a feature that they incorporated some crash related feature?

    I totally dig the demo you wrote and that you did it with a Cubase app. Definitely recognized all the sounds. Does it say anything in the specs about which software apps it isn't compatible with?

    Hi :) I think your tutorials are great and I've used them as a reference when I've bought synth apps. I use an AKG P220 mic and was wondering if you knew of a way to use this when sampling sounds onto the Vogel CMI app via iPad/iPhone? Thanks in advance :)

    • @TheSoundTestRoom
      @TheSoundTestRoom  8 років тому

      Hi, I'm pleased you like the videos, I'm not sure how to do this as I never use the CMI for sampling, you may want to ask the question on the Audiobus forum, they are really helpful and friendly over there and they know A LOT of stuff

    I've had this since December, and every single time I try to open it in Cubasis it crashes. I've updated Cubasis when needed, but the Vogel CMI still won't work in Cubasis. I use an iPad Pro.
    I bet Trevor Horn and Chris Lowe never had this much hassle with the original Fairlight!

    • @AdamsBrew78

      Did you ever get it to work? I was just now about to buy it; I have a 2017 iPad Pro 12.9inch ...I wonder if it works in Auria pro if it still doesn’t in cubasis.

      Read the version history it appears that this app does not really function as an IAA
      but it does however appear to work with Audiobus........

    Andrés whats the iPad midi interface?

  • @dvamateur
    @dvamateur 10 років тому

    Did you use audiobus to record Fairlight app into Cubasis? Okay, i am new to this iPad thing and all, and I've got only two apps: Peter Vogel CMI and Cubasis. When I made the CMI as an input in audiobus and Cubasis as output, I could never get Cubasis to record the CMI audio, even though I saw the CMI instrument as an input in Cubasis audio track. But, when I made the Cubasis as an input and CMI as output, I can trigger CMI via MIDI and record onto a MIDI track in Cubasis, which is actually what I want to do. My question is, am I really using audiobus at all with such setup, or is that simply virutal MIDI? Because as the name points out, it's "audio" bus, so it should have nothing to with MIDI. So do I need audiobus at all for this setup or not? I want to ask before chucking the all $4.99 audiobus app.
