Faster and more effective is to spray it with vinegar, shake baking soda on it, then put boiling hot water on paper towels and put them on it to hold that all in place. Baking soda reacts with vinegar and just eats the mold away in one shot. Do the same with grout, shower doors, pretty much anything - it'll eat thru grit, grime, mold, everything!

I suppose what you could have done , you could have used bleach on the paper for the bits that you couldn't get OFF... The cleaning vinegar did a good job... that way you don't have to use as much bleach
