I hope you're trolling - Ice bought the song rights years later to settle the lawsuit that was immediately filed. Under Pressure came out 9 years before Ice Ice Baby and Ice was only 14 in 1981. Despite Ice's ownership of the iconic track, the court case did eventually result in Queen and Bowie getting official songwriting credits on "Ice Ice Baby." When host Dan Patrick points out that Ice famously denied ripping off the track in the '90s with this hilariously flimsy explanation, the rapper laughs it off and admits he was being an idiot. "Yeah, I was being a jackass," he says. "I was Jackass before Johnny Knoxville!"

As far as sick bass lines, Queen - Another One Bites The Dust, may not be more recognizable than Pressure but it has to be close. Also this song was a duet between Freddie and David Bowie. In the studio version David takes the low notes and Freddie takes the high notes to the very top of his vocal range. Very impressive and you guys should check it out 👍

Prior to starting "Under Pressure", Freddie lead the audience in a vocal warm-up (if you watch his eyes, you can see his little boy impishness as he plays with the audience). There was something magical about Freddie and the way he could connect with the audience. I suspect that if he asked them to dance, everyone would begin tapping on queue. There is a different video of Queen at Wembley that features the song (1) "A Kind of Magic" (written for the film Highlander), followed by (2) Freddie's vocals exercises (this performance of Freddie conducting them in the closing ceremony of the London Olympics 2012.and though he had been gone 21 years, he still held the audience in the palm of his hand), and then followed by "Under Pressure". ua-cam.com/video/DBUDiCaiWAk/v-deo.html I suspect that Sori would really enjoy watching Freddie's vocalization.
Yours I did for a reaction Queen You Take My Breath Away the studio version is a Les Nolan song of theirs but it really shows their vocal range in their harmonies
He wasn’t diagnosed until April 1987, so not until 9 months after this concert. Yes, he stole it and was sued by Queen and David Bowie, he was sued by them and settled out of court and had to give them credit there after. As for the recording, Bowie and Freddie improvised by first writing and recording the vocals separately in the studio (Bowie’s idea).
Since I was little I have been a follower of Queen, and even with my 41 years of age. This presentation belongs to the first concert they gave at wembley stadium on Friday, July 11, 1986, the second one was given the following day. It should be noted that the concert of July 12, 1986 was the first to be promoted in a short version in 1992 VHS. The presentation of July 12, 1986 has more energy and strength, from my point of view.

Speaking of David Bowie." Under Pressure,” a song that would become one of his most ubiquitous and most recognizable recordings, even though it never appeared on a proper Bowie album. The song hit No. 1 in the U.K. and cracked the Top 30 in the U.S., then enjoyed a second American life when Vanilla Ice jacked its iconic bass line for “Ice Ice Baby,” which hit No. 1 in 1990.( Slate, 2016)

If I recall Queen sued Vanilla Ice. The lyrics were made up on the Spot in the studio with David Bowie as an experiment. Freddie recorded his part blind while David was supposed to not here Freddie’s part. However David spied in Freddie and recorded his part to be complementary to Freddie’s. When Freddie found out he was highly pissed that David cheated. Lol
As you have been told by other users this was a collab with David Bowie. There is a nice back-story to this song. They agreed to record a song together and they would take turns and react to what the previous person had recorded. So Freddy started it of spending hours working on it until he was satified with the result. Then Bowie would take and over and was done in couple of minutes. So thiis went on for a couple of days and Freddy could not figure out how Bowie could work so fast and inprovise a respond so quickly. What Freddy did not know was that everytime he was recording Bowie was right in the studio out of view listening in on what he was recording. But the results were so good that they were even talking about doing a whole album. When Freddy finally found out he was furious and refused to working on whole album. For Bowie it was nothing more but having a little bit of fun. If remember correctly even the Queen bandmembers thought it was funny. But Freddy did not budge so that is the reason that only one song was recorded. Although normally would i agree to a live version in this case the version with Bowie is the better version. I could be mistaking but was there not a live of both on the live-aid concert? BTW as general rule when some generic pop-stars have a section of there song sounding like a Queen song then i can almost garantee that the Queen version is the original. Especially when you are talking about artists like Vanilla Ice.
queen songs, many to pick, but "innuendo" or "show must go on" 2 he recorded shortly before his death, i think are perfect for you guys, the way you look in to the lyrics.
Queen was in Montreaux recording and Bowie came into the studio. They said lets write something. John Deacon started playing the riff. They all went out for pizza and when they went back to the studio after a few cold ones. Deacky forgot the riff. Roger Taylor (drummer)remembered it. Freddie was in one room, Bowie in the other just going by the seat of their pants. TaDa! A few yeas later I was in the birthing room with my sister and brother in-law. Ice-Ice baby came on, my sister in labor looked at me in horror! We couldn't believe he stole it. We thought my nephew was going to be born to Under Pressure, wrong....LOL
Great reaction videos you have, thank you. Wasn't until around 1985 that Freddie Mercury began experiencing symptoms of HIV. At the time of this concert his nose might have been running for a different reason. More reaction videos of Queen in Montreal would be nice.
Just so you guys know Queen and David Bowie went after Vanilla Ice and ended up getting co-writing credit and most of the royalties from Ice Ice Baby. It was considered a landmark settlement in musical copyright infringement.
You need to watch Queen at Live Aid in 1985. Best live performance just by the crowd control. Also if y’all could react to Killer Queen and other great songs. They have so many! Everything they touched turned to gold!
Queen's bass player, John Deacon, thought of the bass intro to Under Pressure. Queen & David Bowie immediately took action and Vanilla Ice had to pay. Vanilla Ice said that it wasn't the same because he added one note. Hahaha. He eventually admitted it.
Funny story, Vanilla Ice has made a nu metal album called "Hard to swallow". It's very cool, i feel some Korn vibe in it. My favorite song is "too cold".
Watch anything from the Queen performance at Live Aid 1985. The whole set is only like 20 minutes and it's their best live performance I've seen. You will love it guaranteed.
What a great reaction guys 😀this one you reacted to was taken day 2 of the concert from from what is now regarded as a legendary Queen concert (Wembley Stadium ) the one that most are familiar with is recorded from day one that makes up the Main Live Concert film, this day two take is only a bonus extra on dvd believe it or not, kind of spare footage if you like, not quite good enough for the main recording, but it goes to show how good Queen were that even a bonus recording is that good. Although I tend to agree with the rest here in the comments that The Studio version is better because it was originally recorded as a collaboration by David Bowie with Queen and that version is just the best, as for Vanilla Ice stealing (sampling) the bassline it is indeed well known about.
He officially didn't know in 86 (87 he done the test), but he was sick by the end of this final world tour, many on the tour said he was noticeably ill by the end of this gig and his next, just no one knew what. This was the second to last live gig they done.
Feddie & David Bowie wrote this song, John Deakin, developed the bass line, they sued Vanilla Ice, who had to give them writing credit for Ice, Ice Baby as well as alot of this royalties.
Terrible choice by whoever recommended this have you do this live as a first reaction as it does not have the legendary David Bowie. Its also (imo) played to fast. There is a legendary clip of Vanilla Ice claiming he didn't steal this cause there is an extra "doo" in his version. Yea there is some extra doo in his version all right....
This song was written by Queen and David Bowie Vanilla Ice version come out David Bowie and Queen sued him because they used that beat he changed one cord it's so if you look at Vanilla Ice's song they are credited as writers
You must watch the movie, bohemian rhapsody and you will understand how aids was affecting the voice of Fredy Mercury. Also it is a great movie that teaches you about live and how people overcome huge problems to continue doing what they love to do. Fredy never surrender to his illness, and continue singing until the end. Thak you Fredy you teach me a lot of things. Rest in peace.

The song hit No. 1 in the U.K. and cracked the Top 30 in the U.S., then enjoyed a second American life when Vanilla Ice jacked its iconic bass line for “Ice Ice Baby,” which hit No. 1 in 1990.( Slate, 2016)
and i liked your chat afterwards. i watch your reactions, to songs i like, cos it relaxes me, and good to see 2 people happy, discovering it too. so, keep doing what you do :) im in the UK, so, good that anywhere in the world, youtubers like you get seen my anyone.
Check out the isolated vocals for the studio version of this track. They are mind blowing.
Should’ve listened to the studio version.
queen songs, many to pick, but "innuendo" or "show must go on" 2 he recorded shortly before his death, i think are perfect for you guys, the way you look in to the lyrics.
Queen "Innuendo".
Their best song, IMO.
Live version? Poor David Bowie lol
No way, more like way to go Roger Taylor, who sang Bowie's parts and was flawless doing it!
Funny
"Another one bites the dust" It is the most recognizable bass from Queen and one of the most popular in music.
Another one bites the dust another famous baseline
This is 1000% is the wrong version. where is David Bowie?!
The song was written by David Bowie and Queen and they both performed live in on their records and they also sounded together a couple of times
Obviously , I agree and know those fasts, which is why I wrote what I wrote.
eh i don't like the duet version
Without David Bowie, this song feels like it's missing much.
Love your reactions, guys. The best on i-net!
Great reaction videos you have, thank you. Wasn't until around 1985 that Freddie Mercury began experiencing symptoms of HIV. At the time of this concert his nose might have been running for a different reason. More reaction videos of Queen in Montreal would be nice.
Journey - Mother, Father (Live in Houston 1981)
So much more to hear from this band. :)
John Deacon, the bass player, came up with the riff. Queen wrote this song with David Bowie.
Vanilla stole the riff and used one extra note as an excuse
Remember, pressure can break you down, but it's that same pressure that can make diamonds.
I once saw Vanilla Ice say with a huge smile on his face “ it’s totally different “ 🤣
Barcelona - Montserrat Caballé & Freddy Mercury
Queen Live Aid is worth reacting too.
You guys are the best! I love the channel, keep up the great work you two!
He officially didn't know in 86 (87 he done the test), but he was sick by the end of this final world tour, many on the tour said he was noticeably ill by the end of this gig and his next, just no one knew what. This was the second to last live gig they done.
This is the friday live at wembley.. The saturday is the one you should see.. :( its the warm up friday concert...
John Deacon, the bassist came up with that riff Dabod Bowie was the other Male voice singing.
Feddie & David Bowie wrote this song, John Deakin, developed the bass line, they sued Vanilla Ice, who had to give them writing credit for Ice, Ice Baby as well as alot of this royalties.
You left the crowd warm up off! That's the best bit.
Another one bites the dust by Queen
Talkin' about baselines...!
Yes Freddie Mercury was the ultimate Showman didn't know his stuff till the 80s then realized how good they were and Freddy was the main attraction everyone in that band where super talented you were very entertaining today sori and as usual Vin is the fact checker with all the information good show enjoy your conversations like I always do
Nice version but people are right about the bowie version live. That's on a whole other level
Which LIVE version with Bowie are you referring to?
@@CrociatoAzzurro its on UA-cam from Wembley. Its actually a mix though but has bowies live vocals
@@ericpirillo7260
That is a fan-made video where Queen and Bowie are mashed together using video from 2 different concerts.
@@CrociatoAzzurro yeah I know its a mix. Didn't realize that before . I listen to music on here a lot without watching the videos
@@ericpirillo7260
Gotcha.
It's a shame they didn't perform it LIVE.
Bolt Thrower - When Cannons Fade
The baseline in Queen's "Another one bites the dust" is probably more famous. That's a bit more disco though. Queen crossed a lot of genres over the years.
One hadn’t even heard Under Pressure and the other didn’t even realize it was an original Queen classic.
Jasus guys where have ya been living..?!
