Usually because they wanna feel important.
I know some tool devs that deleted their github just so people use their discord.
And wouldn't you know it, the discord is dead other than the download page of the tool.

I agree, when first looking for mods, I was confused as to why I couldn't find any significant Burnout Paradise mods when google searching, everything's gotta be on Discord for some reason...

Go to the Burnout Hints Discord server and look for a the Fully Named Traffic Vehicles mod in the mods download server.
