The thing is these haven't reached their final form. Once driven by AI, they'll be able to be released in waves and will potentially be a lot more accurate. There will be no need for a man operating the drone, and the scale up will be horrendous, only limited by battery life.
The truly scary part will be once that AI, and its control measures, need to get pushed and tested. For example, one could imagine that the initial waves would be set at 95% enemy acquisition confirmation before they release their payload (strike). But, what happens if the war isn't going as smoothly or as quickly as expected or desired? What if we start losing? Do we turn that knob down to 80% for the fleet? 60%? 40%?
It doesn’t have to be “AI” bro lol. You just say that word as a pleb on the net. Infrared and heat seeking, ordinances have existed for decades. Those would cost 35 times the amount these FPV drones cost, would be incredibly valuable and heavier. Using GPT doesn’t mean you know what it really Means. It’s barely necessary. A wave of drones with that value would Warrant countermeasures that render them incapacitated and captured: just how the White House and Kremlin are guarded from drones.
@@Agroid_Moose clearly we have better stuff than they have. We have been told that there is nothing to know about the drones in the sky. And that we should not have any fear about them. One of those statements must not be true. Either they are ours or we should fear them. I think they are ours.
It is meant to scare the attackers because these guys using drones are defending their country and their families and only by fighting back can they stop Russia from taking over their entire country and killing more civilians. Russia doesn't show mercy to Ukrainians so why should the defenders show mercy to Russian soldiers. There is no need for that. I understand the Ukrainians very well because Russia has also attacked my country in World War II and they are fighting now like our soldiers fought against the Russians.

This video perfectly displayed what some dude in another video said. Drone Pilots are hated, never captured and always killed. With or without torture.
For centuries, humanity waged wars with swords, meeting on the battlefield with courage and honor. Warriors would face their enemies directly, looking them in the eye as they took their lives with the permission of God. It was a brutal yet personal exchange, defined by bravery and mutual recognition. But as time progressed, human ingenuity intertwined with wickedness, giving rise to weapons of increasing detachment-crossbows, guns, and eventually missiles. Now, enemies are struck from a distance, stripped of the chance to face their fate with dignity or utter their final words. What could be more disgraceful? The use of drones, operated from the safety of a chair, demands no skill, no valor. It reduces war to a coward’s game, devoid of the honor it once held.
@@sami-ir1czWhat is the enemy gonna do about it? There is no honor in war, nor in brutality. Violence and death crosses all those limits. If the enemy is upset about the use of drones, they should develop a superior technology to dear with it. Nobody gives a fuck. Honor is just an invention to romanticize war. Just like god is an invention to romanticize the unknown.
Correction - the way the Ukranian forces fight. It has not been proven to me that France, Germany, United States, Britain, or others are ready to do this at a scale they would need to be able to do. Any one of those countries would need to already have 100,000 to 250,000 drones of the types Ukraine is using. All I keep seeing are very, very expensive larger-platform drones, and limited-number drone-controlling F-35's. All well and good for a minor country fight (like Iraq was), but not enough for scale should NATO actually enter in to an all-out war with a country that mass-produces inexpensive drones at scale.

Our psyche has ways of protecting itself , ways of dealing with the trauma of taking another life, even if an enemy, or seeing your best friend be killed beside you, your grandmothers home bombed to the ground, the country you were born in, that you call home is under treat of being taken over but a communist psycho dictator , after years of fighting to get your independence. These people have come in and murdered civilians in their homes, tortured them, raped woman, and are destroying their economy and country. These men have been at war for over two years, they have left their jobs, conscripted and made to go to fight for their country, they do not want to be there. They are away from their loved ones, had family and friends killed. Being in a highly charged state of fight, flight freeze, living in shitty conditions, not sleeping or eating well, the fact these people have to kill another human, must be incredibly traumatising. People have ways of coping. Laughter can be a defense that protects the trauma survivor from feeling the depth of their actual pain. A coping mechanism when dealing with uncomfortable situations, it can become another kind of self-preservation-a tool of resilience; the antidote to the violence of life; that power-preserving implement that keeps us from despair. Understanding the psychology of a combat soldier is hopefully something we will never have to experience, but we must be open minded and take into account all of the horrible things these men have been through, before judging and ridiculing these men. We don’t know their story, we do not know how we would react when it comes to being in the same situation. We think we know, but the point is, under pressure or in hostile situations when your life and the life of others is under treat, we can act and do things we never thought we could be capable of. As a nurse I have seen patients after going through horrible events, act in all sorts of bizarre ways that are completely out of character, violence, hysteria, laughing, freezing, trying to run away and the next day they may apologies for their behaviour. That is after one traumatic event. Imagine how many scary things these men have been involved in, something has to break. We hear of veterans returning from combat, shells of themselves, with mental illness that st times is untreatable and it destroys their lives, it’s got to be pretty horrible to be that psychologically damaged. Just have a think, you do not have to agree with me and I’m not trying to say that I think that laughing at someone’s death is ok, but I do know that even in health care, when we have had some horrible shifts, people have died and it’s been hectic etc, you just can not compartmentalise or comprehend what you have seen, it’s almost like you are delirious and there can be dark humour. Emotions need to be expressed and perhaps laughter is more appropriate then screaming and crying on the floor or punching out a fellow solider - and that happens too. Just think outside the box a little, in my opinion. Only my opinion from my basic understanding of psychology.

What does is serves me to look the person that is going to kill me in the eye? I dont wanna know him, i want to win the war. If the enemy is upset about the use of drones, they should develop a superior technology to dear with it. Nobody gives a fuck. Honor is just an invention to romanticize war. Just like god is an invention to romanticize the unknown.
Its truly fascinating how this war has changed so much about the way we fight
Correction - the way the Ukranian forces fight. It has not been proven to me that France, Germany, United States, Britain, or others are ready to do this at a scale they would need to be able to do. Any one of those countries would need to already have 100,000 to 250,000 drones of the types Ukraine is using. All I keep seeing are very, very expensive larger-platform drones, and limited-number drone-controlling F-35's. All well and good for a minor country fight (like Iraq was), but not enough for scale should NATO actually enter in to an all-out war with a country that mass-produces inexpensive drones at scale.

Interesting reading the comments, especially when sitting in the comfort of your home, without any warfare experience at all, never having lived through a situation where you are fighting for your country, your life and the lives of your families and friends and been living in fear for the past three years.
Do not forget to mention the government you are fighting for as well.
Yeah but laughing when killing a human being is crazy
@@JJORIS4199 you are right, no ones life should be taken in vain or laughed about in a just and perfect world. It’s incredibly sad, it’s ugly and it’s war. It may not seem normal in our world, but unless you are put into a situation that is so traumatising and you are defending yourself and your comrades from those trying to kill you, then you will never understand the toll of being in combat. we do not know what these men have been through, we do not know the horrors they have seen and experienced.
3 years? Well for 9 years before Russia entered Ukraine. It was Russian families living in Fear, 14,000 Civilians were slaughtered by these Nazi's and now the shoe is on the other foot! Get the fact straight
@@JJORIS4199Yeah, because the russians surely dont laugh at the civilians and pows they tortured and killed
And this is just the technology that the public knows about. What do they have for when things get really serious?
why would these guys show their faces???? stay safe bois
for real. drone pilots are the most hated people. not because how effective the tech is, but because of how cowardly and pathetic drone operators are. risking nothing while killing their brothers in grotesque ways.
Plus imagine them being captured outside of their drone hut and the enemy sees the unit patch on their uniform with a drone on it...

"It is well that war is so terrible, otherwise we should grow too fond of it." Robert E. Lee
This video is the worst marketing strategy regarding having sympathy for Ukrine. Kids laughing after killing someone .. like psychotic killers. No .. Not good for the public opinion at all.
the OP deleted my comment citing the Geneva convention which prohibits executing injured soldiers.
Convention (I) for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded and Sick in Armed Forces in the Field. Geneva, 12 August 1949.
Article 12 of the First Convention applies in international armed conflict to the wounded and sick who are members of the armed forces or otherwise entitled to prisoner-of-war status.
Article 12 of the Second Convention extends protection to wounded, sick and shipwrecked members of the armed forces and other persons at sea entitled to prisoner-of-war status.

killing unarmed wounded is a war crime - My opinion
invading another country to take it over is a war crime - My opinion
war crime is invading other countries for no fucking reason and yes, russians do the same thing with drones. Thinking is not your strong side, but try it, for once at least
It's Legally incorrect, though.

its not a matter of option. you're wrong
No one cares about your opinion buddy
Do the shells detonate on impact or does the operator of the drone detonate the shells from his remote?
Boy, I thought the birth of cyberpunk dystopia would be somewhat slower.

@@maff1917there isn't a "good side" in this war, i've seen videos of war crimes from both sides already 2 years ago
He's not a POW and he's not being transported by medics, he's a combatant in the middle of an active battlefield.
You don't know if he's still able to carry a weapon, if he still poses a threat to your infantry, if he's not simulating, if he's not planning to explode a grenade when approached, what is the overall tactical situation around.
It wouldn't be a war crime if it was small arms fight or an artillery shell. Why should it be when using a drone, just because you can see his face and feel inequality between him and drone operator?
Well, there's an inequality between Russian strategic aviation pilots and children hospitals too, yet I don't see much worrying about their souls here.
@@ThePieceofmeat lets not get any emotions into that. The war is totally wrong and the russians are at fault. But most individuals aren't there to fight for the glory of their nation but rather because they are being forced.
There is also no effort to take him as a POW. He is a wounded soldier according to the geneva convention and it does not differ between an injured person that can and cannot handle a weapon. A shrapnell strike of a drone usually ends that persons life so it is right to think that this person is severly hurt. If you can provide another international law to prove your point I would be grateful

Unbelievably they all same language and fighting over territories
that's no news, neighbours are more likely to fight each other than anyone else. One funny example will be pakistan and india, i mean what's different between urdu and hindi besides slangs and writing script choices. and then u have those bunch of persian speaking countries and turkic language speaking countries each sharing a large amount of the same languages neighboring each other being segregated and heated with nationalism and wars calling the same shared shit different names of languages and so on, just to name a few cultures you know, even china and taiwan is almost at the brink of it, hahahahaha
Not the same language
Yup, as someone from the region who speaks fluent Russian I never believed that Russians and Ukrainians will actually shoot each other when things were getting heated in 2014. Unfortunately, Putin pushed them into doing that due to his obsession with recreating USSR.
It's crazy that this is what war is now. And for the future as well.
I'd say once Ukraine drone operators started going after individual people as targets, they lost any moral high ground.
Do you think they give a damn about moral high ground? It's the fog of war
@@dylaniam1589 Considering Ukraine is being propped up with arms from the West, yes, it's kind of important. You lose the moral high ground, you lose the war. Korea. Vietnam. Afghanistan. The west always wants to look like the good guys... whether they are or not is debatable.
Dropping a grenade in an empty tank is one thing, flying up to a limping wounded shoulder with an FPV drone and detonating a grenade next to him... a different thing entirely. Not just once, but as the new normal method of operation.
Remember when the US soldier threw the puppy off a cliff. Yeah. Not good PR for public support back home, and the people back home vote, but more to the point, the independent media can be vicious.
The PTSD these drone operators will have in 10 years..
youre worried about the operators and not the fuckers on the ground getting chased by these things? insane
I think many will be fine- The PTSD comes from killing innocents, and kids.
i was searching for your comment. now they laugh. but as the pilot said: "it gets easier step by step" is actually "selling your soul step by step" until there is nothing left but PTSD hell in your future for what you have done. they will realize it one day when its too late.

It is a weapon that tarnishes military service and honor. Moreover, an attack on a single soldier, especially a wounded soldier, is a barbaric and dishonorable act that has nothing to do with military service.
