    Did you ever change the fuel filter on this? I’ve a UK model so I was told that the fuel filter for these models were in the actual fuel tank itself and don’t need changed. Only cars sold to very hot climates had a fuel filter in the engine bay that could be changed.

    • @MotorScotti
      @MotorScotti  2 роки тому

      No I never changed the fuel filter. And yes it's in the tank, but I believe you can access it by removing the rear seat. The access to the fuel pump assembly. The filter should be in there, too but I'm not 100% sure.

    Hi Scotti. Thank you for all the videos you posted so far about the RCZ. I recently did a full service on my RCZ based on your tutorials and everything went smoothly. There is one thing though that I'm struggling with. I can't find the fuel filter. Do you have any idea where it might be located ? I would be most grateful if you could help me. Thank you.

      Hi and thank you very much for watching and for the compliment!
      The fuel filter is in the tank, I believe one assembly with the pump. If you remove the rear seat you should be able to open the access door in the floor.

    Hi Scotti,
    Great videos, 2 questions, did the Engine defect error dissapeared for good? and have you had any oil consumption issues on the RCZ? I have a 308 GTi same year and engine and have the very same error without the CEL on, and some oil consumption...

    • @MotorScotti
      @MotorScotti  6 років тому +2

      Julio Mendez Hi Julio, this engine will always burn some oil. Mine needs about 1.5l per 30'000 km. Some need more, some need less. The engine error code did come back much later. I presume I will have to change the high pressure fuel pump but I haven't touched this car since the coolant change. Thank you for watching.

    Hi Scotti, I also used the Bosch filter and it is like in your video, the filter doesn't fit as tight as the original one. It wobbles a little bit in the filter housing. Have you ever had problems with the Bosch filter?

      @MotorScotti  6 років тому

      Evgheni Jet Hi, the original oil is marked in the owner's manual. However, it's not easy to get the Total oil in every country. I don't care about the brand as long as it's a well known brand like Total, Shell or Castrol. The important thing is to use the right viscosity - 5W30 and that it's for petrol cars. For my last oil change I used Shell Helix Ultra 5W30 and it's perfectly fine.

      I used Total 75w80 like it says in the service manual but I think like everything you can use it as long as its the same grade. It was a bitch to get Total in Australia where I am so next time I'll probably just use something else. But I think you are from Europe so it'll be very easy. Regardless though as long as its 75w80 I think you'll be ok :)

      perfect, thank you very much! Fresh oil never hurts!:) yes, I'm in Europe, Switzerland to be precise. Total oil being french is PSA's favourite oil brand, but it's quite easy to get here as well.
