This didn't need pitch correction on the official release at all. I don't get why Queen Productions wants every live recording to sound like a studio recording. Their perfectionism ruins the feeling of a live concert. So what if Freddie misses one or two notes in a 1.5 hour live set. Nobody would care.
Completely agree with you on this one!!! it even enhances the song in some situations... As an example, Listen to "tear it up" in the live show of Budapest in 86', Its a totally different song!!! Really amazing
Queen Productions should focus more about actually releasing the better concerts of the year that doesn’t need pitch corrections and stuff at all (like Tokyo 5/1/75, Earls Court 77, Long Beach & Inglewood 77, Hammersmith 79, the early 1980 shows, 1981 Mexican shows) instead of focusing on pitch corrections & overdubs…
I have to listen to "White Queen" everyday. Freddie's piano playing is so soothing, it's memorizing. I wish he didn't have to leave so soon. So sad, _his_ eyes.💔🙏🎼🎶 What a composition from the best composer, ever.
They changed so much but this intellectual and mysterious style was really amazing. If u see the 80s they adapted their music to that superficial decade..Fantastic song
Freddie changed so much, almost like a different person. He looks different, sounds different. Meanwhile brian may looks the same haha roger and John too. Just freddie changed so much from 70s to 80s
The reason why official releases are good for is for only one reason, and that is being it’s clean high quality mix. Nothing else. A HQ Stereo Multi-track Mix…
Queen, la imagen de Freddie junto a la palabra "autotune" me hacen doler los ojos. Esta es una Obra Maestra, la Música Clásica del futuro. La escucho siempre y la toco con todos los instrumentos: me Fascina...!!!!!!!
Always a great version of the song. My two cents on the montages you cite in your description is I like the concept of a through-the-years montage, but I think transitions can be smoother than most creators of those made them, and different audio sources can be tweaked to make switching between them slightly less jarring. Additionally, I think at least some of those creators simply use UA-cam rips only, which leads to extra loss of quality.
Yeah that's why I use source videos, not youtube rips. I decided to use one audio source per video montage as I think it makes it more consistent. For the same reason I don't mix 70s footages with 80s footages, it's too different. Thanks for your opinion, I'll try making better transitions in the future.
@ definitely fair. Honestly I didn't mean your transitions; I meant the transitions of some others who mix audio sources as well as video; it's not on beat sometimes. Keep up the good work!
This song fascinated me from the very first sounds... But I don't understand why there are 'no tears in his eyes', since the meeting with his beloved didn't take place.((
From the Album this was taken from this was the first album i bought in the mid 70s. I stayed a fan right up until Freddie's death. Queen 2 was a good album. The only track that came out was seven seas of rhye.
@@BobHarley Have you considered pairing it to the version of the show in this video. It looks much better than the official release. And sounds better than the bootleg
the original recording is damaged, the tape has been stretched (this is most noticeable in 2:32-2:36 ). if they used autotune then in this one case it was justified
Freddie Mercury never used it and never was able to use it. Queen Productions autotuned his voice on 2015 release of A Night at the Odeon (1975), despite the fact his voice never needed it.
Subtitles available!
EDIT: 1000 views! Thank you!

The most beautiful piano and guitar solo ever done.

This is actually written by Brian
Brian may of written this song but Freddie delivered it with complete passion. Both were the back bone of Queen.
Me to listen to White QUEEN everyday MW.SWEDEN
Saudade desse moço lindooooo, mesmo sem tê-lo conhecido ❤
Listening to Freddie sing feels like experiencing pure musical magic.
Damn, the bass sounds better than the official release!
My favorite performance of this song I love that screaming guitar and piano. Freddie's voice is so gorgeous. Drumming and bass are perfection.
Superb song
Essa é linda de doer!!!❤

And this one comes from a bootleg. It's not a big difference between this one and the official release.
@@BobHarley yep. Good quality bootlegs are rare unless they are a specific event..
First time hearing this … most haunting sound… gone much to soon ❤
Queen Is Queen.
Love the clear bass in this mix
Hauntingly beautiful…..

Absolutely NOTHING in this perfect performance needed correcting/editing/dubbing at all 😢
1000 times better thank you
Good job
I requested this!!
The other version was not done with autotune, it is simply a slightly faster version.
No, both versions are at the same speed
Прекрасният глас на Фреди през 70-те!

Hi
Where does 4:37 come from?
New York 76
@@BobHarley It like..... perfectly matches Hammersmith. It's uncanny
@@BobHarley Also where does the audio mix come from. It sounds better than the one on greg's channel
@@crazy4gta1 I got the best sounding bootleg and did my own remaster

If video tape was stretched, it would not even play.
Ok
👍👍
where does the hammersmith video come from? the quality looks good
Czech TV broadcast from 2009 or so.
@@BobHarley thx! good job
@VAP36 Sorry, I can't share it as it's treated as official release.
What is auto tune please?
Autotune is used to alter vocals in musical performances, when the singer is out of tune.
Can't tell the difference.
Then you should see chinwonder's "Queen live vs overdub" serie, that explains everything
pretty much everything before 1997 is pre-autotune.
true, and "A Night at the Odeon" release is from 2015
"Pre-auto tune" lmao. Everybody knows only crappy singers use auto tune other than just for effect. Like Cher.
Freddie Mercury never used it and never was able to use it. Queen Productions autotuned his voice on 2015 release of A Night at the Odeon (1975), despite the fact his voice never needed it.
early
perdona que te lo diga pero suena muy mal hasta en ocaciones desafinado
So raw Queen recording sounds bad?
¿Que tiene de malo?
Hear me sing and your will adore this
