Even as an American, one of my favorite television shows is Time Team. In fact, I believe one of your videos on your channel was recommended on one of their videos and I am glad I clicked on it! But one of the things I love when watching these informational videos is thinking on how long humans have been living that far north! 5,300 years isn’t even oldest evidence archeologists have!
This was a wonderful video and thank you for making these!

The Orkney islands are beautiful, and so many wonderful Neolithic sites apart from Skara Brae! It's the holiday of a lifetime!

I love your videos because they are informative, well-edited, creative, and beautiful. I especially appreciate and love your voice and pacing which is perfect for actually permitting the viewer to absorb the education you are offering us. Please do more! ❤❤❤❤ Edit: My guess about the stone balls…. The were used in the “fulling process” of creating wool cloth- or maybe softening hides to fit a similar purpose.

Glad you like them! An interesting idea about the stone balls. A lot of work went into making them. Perhaps this is significant.

Don't you find contradicting to the "global warming theory", that climate 5000 years ago was WARMER THEN TODAY, yet the SEA LEVEL WAS FARTHER AWAY then today. - very interesting ;)
Side note2: According to recent studies The GREAT PYRAMID is actually 10.000+ years old. It is suggested this structure is pre=flooded (meaning over 11..600 ago)

Don’t know where you get the sea was farther away. It says here the sea encroached further and further INLAND because rising sea level and rising temperature.

@@RoxanneM- The information plate on the site says clearly: 5000 years ago the beach was a couple of km AWAY from the village.
When the village was build it was ALREADY 3-5 degree warmer.
ANd we know, they didn't build it ON THE BEACH, but in some distance,
      Do you understand?
It was much warmer, jet the sea level was lower.
Fact check it. The numbers will support it.
And then sit calmly and think about it for a while, please, ok? ;)

The Ice Age held much of Earth's water trapped in ice. As this melted, the oceans rose. Now the Beaufort Gyre is set to release and bringing on the next ice age, we will see the sea levels dropping year by year.

Many Scots have higher Neanderthal DNA than other cultures. There was a Nean-Sapien migration from the Levant. Skara Brae folk may have had higher Nean DNA in them.
