What’s the one thing you can leave behind? Film footage from the movie hounds of Heaven. Side note they put on great concerts, when Brent screams there is pyro 🧨 or concussion. They whole crowd knows every word and sings with them. I meet people from all over. Some fly I don’t but I’ve seen them in 4 states, At 69 I’m a groupie. 😂
I absolutely love the message of this song, and it still rocks! They have soooo many great songs.

Shinedown was the last concert my little sister saw before she died unexpectedly less than two months afterwards. We played this at her Celebration of Life. It’s become my favourite Shinedown song, because I already highly rated it, and now it has an amazing emotional association. I think of my sister every time I hear it.
Shinedown has a song called “Black Cadillac” about overcoming and dealing with addiction….Their message continues and always rocks the truth

Love is what it’s all about. I have raised my husband’s 2 children. They do not belong to me. But I am their Mother. I have been there when someone else wasn’t. I hope and pray that when I’m dead and gone, my 2 kids will say, you know what…Mom was always there. She never ran out on us, or let us down and she always loved us. Even when we were rough on her. That’s what I think of when I hear this song. And it’s one of my faves from Shinedown.
It makes me so happy that this band is finally getting the credit it deserves. Shinedown is the best band period. No other band can hold a candle to them. Some come close, but fail in comparison.
