100% CORRECT!!! I have LOVED BOTH BANDS SINCE ‘03 for Shinedown and when AB rose from the ashes of Creed!! I loved Creed but being an Atheist like Myles Kennedy I relate a LOT MORE to him!! HE AND BRENT ARE UNBELIEVABLE TALENTS. They BOTH helped me through some tough deployments and times!! I recommend checking out “Shinedown in my House” videos on UA-cam when they did Fly From The Inside and Shed Some Light I got choked up. They did 4 songs and I think the channel is Patrick something……2 more vocalists I would put up there with them are: Aaron Lewis of Staind and Jesse Hasek of 10 Years
Each part of the video, they had their own monster.. The lead singer his monster is his past addiction, the little girl, her monster is her abusive grandfather and the widow had an affair when her husband was redeployed and was killed. Her monster was guilt. Powerful video, message and vocals.
Don’t forget the main one, which brings the whole story together. The soldier, you know, a terrible situation that affects so many soldiers when they come home. That’s kinda why the burial was during the first verse.
Seen them in November over here in the UK I’m lucky enough to have seen them 30 off times and they just keep getting better and better. It’s been great to see their rise in popularity over here, first time I seen them was in a 250 capacity venue and now they are playing our big arenas.
Shonedown is the shit. Saw them in Nashville at LP field (Titans stadium) in 2010 with my wife. Thunderstorm hit that evening. Papa Roach 4 songs bounced. Seether 6 songs bounced. Shinedown said eff thunder and did about a 3 hour set. Saved that show
Brent is a BEAST! And, let's face it -- all the band members slammed on this...as always! I recommend Enemies -- it's older but the lyrics are awesome and the video is so sick! Also Sound of Madness and 45. Rock on! 🤘🤘🤘
At first, I thought I was listening to you guys react to monsters from Skillet. I love Shinedown, I saw them live 3x and they always do extraordinary! I've also seen Skillet if you haven't seen them you should!
This is off of the Attention Attention album, which was produced by the band's bassist (Eric Bass), who also produced their latest album, Planet Zero. For Attention Attention, they did videos for every song and put them in movie form.
This is a great song and a great band, I love all their songs. One song you should check out is one by Styx, this one is a little different than most of their songs. The name of the song is "Man in the Wilderness"
@@brettash7640 they sound American. Its interesting. Hear Music and guess what Country. Im German. German Metal is different, Even Swedish Metal is. Or Japan Rock. All different but all great in their own ways ❤
Guys ... Can you React To Ren " Hi Ren" English Singer Song writer ... This Guy is the best Talent of Our Generation .... Please React .. You will not be let down ( Love the Vids ) Cheers from UK
@The Wolf Hunterz in case you guys missed it, the lady in black was cheating on her husband, who was deployed, with the man that touched her shoulder at his funeral.
The intro to the song doesnt show that at all. To me it instantly looked like she was cheating on the dead marine and the man that touched her shoulder was the affair partner, it was only made more literal with the later scenes.
She basically was cheating on her husband while he was deployed and then he died serving his country. That's more likely what happened but can't say for sure. He could have died while at home. Still.
For me Shinedown and Alter Bridge are 2 of the most important rock bands of the last 20 years. Brent Smith and Myles Kennedy are vocal powerhouses.
Totally agree
Well said

Yes!!!!
Myles has more range but Brent's voice is more versatile. They are the best. Corey Taylor is up there too.

If you are looking for more from them, Enemies, State Of My Head, and Cut The Cord are good.
Thank you. My dad passed in July, and I'm having a very tough time. But I'll make it. Thank you again.
They write about things no one else does and shine a light on subjects that often get ignored.
This song got me through some rough times just knowing other people knew how it is. God bless them.
Absolutely love watching you two during reactions when something changes in a song

Brent is a recovering addict and monsters was his first song for it
He's written a lot of songs about addiction before this one. Save Me was one of their earlier hits that was all about addiction.

Did Susie used to be blonde?!
I don't know what references you had at beginning as to what the song is about cause it's about sex abuse and molestation. And redemption
The intro to the song doesnt show that at all. To me it instantly looked like she was cheating on the dead marine and the man that touched her shoulder was the affair partner, it was only made more literal with the later scenes.
