Man. I grew up most of my life into my early teens loving mustang's, mostly 5.0 foxbodys because my dad and uncle had many and my dad an I built a 91 LX back then did Trick Flow H/C/I. Novi1000 and so on full build. K member, driveshaft, re geared 373 built rear end, in my early teens. But I definitely was more of an enthusiast I loved all cars just knew mustang's more than anything. I wasnt always huge into Vettes but in the last 8 to 10 years I got more into them especially with the C7. SS717 and you guys have given me a huge new respect for Corvettes. C7s are my favorite I'd love one sometime. Definitely always liked the older classics. Still not sure about the C8 but I think the right spec will be sick and I can't wait to see everyone's by next summer with some of their twist on them, should be a few pretty wicked C8 builds by mid summer if things stay on track I would think.
I appreciate how the mechanic used a torque wrench on the rims instead of an impact.Little details like that are crucial and I wouldn't take my car to a shop thats not detail oriented.👍
I've been binge watching RPM most of the day, had seen a couple videos in the past and then when the 717 vette came over I watched again but definitely subscribed today. The regular car blog channels are fun to watch but it's different good watching the work actually being done but not having to be a tutorial. Definitely a fan of the format! From Kelowna, BC. CAN.
its doing what we all prayed it would do, will get to 1000rwph with bolt on mods and a cam, add some e85 and this thing is going to be a monster.. great job as always guys
Fuel, Fuel, Fule is what keeps these engine live. The best and most important investment you can make on these cars, is a GOOD fuel system and keeping that air cool going in (The meth). But I would not tune it based on the existence of meth. Nice shop BTW!
So lets be honest here... Its not yet tuned on E, my guess is another 50 to 60whp when that occurs. Throw in a cam and we are well into the 9XX range at the wheels on the current pulley. Throw in a smaller pullie this should crack 10xxwhp. No spray, stock heads and bottom end. My guess is a balls out 416 or larger stroker, heads, pullied and cammed to the gods. This is capable of over 1100whp without a blower swap. The bang for the buck here is real LOL. Im speculating of course LOL
Maybe this would be a decent place to ask. In terms of meth, how often do these guys end up having to refil the tank? And what is generally put in place to avoid blowing up your motor if something fails?

Question for the tuner. I just got a ls3 on my 99 Silverado around 60 mph my motor starts to shake I took it back they told me they just need to raise the locker by a tuner. So I got my truck back now it shakes around 65mph dont know if I should take it back or go to another shop or what is the best way to knock this problem out? Anything helps thanks

Katech already did all the modding and testing with and without E85, LT5 makes serious power. 1400hp crank seems to be its limitations

Those screws are from Bryce fasteners, and you have to get the bit from them.

WeaponX makes an intake tube that fits LT4 and LT5 motors. Got it on my LT4 and it seems to be a decent cheap upgrade fwiw.
