LOL Stacy. That’s a good question. I can tell you my guests arriving tomorrow are Sarah and Jay Parmeter. I met Sarah as a result of her being a member of The Design Sessions. She and jay built a lake home using all the principles I teach in The Design Sessions. She invited me to their home in wisconsin and we became fast and furious friends from there on out. I returned to help Sarah Decorate her home for Christmas this year. You might have seen that video ?
Anyway, being a guest in my home requires a bond, a trust and a mutual love for design. OR… you are one of my children 😂

I put a list on my refrigerator door when we have overnight or weekend guest. When we had a large amount of family or friends visit, I would cook in advance and plan a menu. On that list, it told you where everything was for breakfast and where to locate it. The same for lunch and snacks. My guest helped themselves to any food or drink they wanted. The list made for a very relaxing visit for all. After seeing your list I know my list needs additional work. When my husband worked I make a travel list, I framed it and put it on the back side of the master bedroom closet door. He sometimes went out of the country. On that list it had everything he would need and he never forgot anything. You are the best!

You have thought of everything to ensure that your guests are comfortable and that everything they could possibly want has been taken care of. This guest room looks amazing, love the blush color lamps and the other accent wasn't over the top, it along with other room that have Spring updates look so inviting!
I watched another YT channel where the woman was talking about all the things that make a guest room DIVINE! A water carafe with the glass on top, a corkscrew and the coordinating wine bottle and glasses, hand lotion, room spray mist, makeup wipes (so they don't get mascara all over your towels and pillowcases), drawers lined with fragrant draw liner, a night light and flashlight, extra hangers, a small radio for music and an alarm clock, a sleep mask and a wrapped chocolate to be placed on the pillow for one second before it gets eaten. Sigh. I'll happily invite myself over! Looks great Rebecca!

Thank you for the lamp and the headboard tip. Mine are shorter but that was not planned. And I much say that REAL men love pink. My husband wears pink shirts all the time and he looks fabulous in pink. Ann from Va.

I love the way you added interest to the line of view from lamp height to above head board art to lamp. It softens the line of a straight head board.
I absolutely love all of the blush touches against all of the white and the darker furniture pieces. I never thought I would like white walls so much. That artwork is beautiful!

Becky, THANK YOU! We bought our home 6 years ago, and the plantation shutters are just now starting to get a bit, well, limp as you so descriptively put it!
I 💕 the changes in this room, and the additional idea of meds in the drawer (I've had little packets of cotton tips, and band-aids before, but not the other). I also like to include a wrapped chocolatey treat (their fave one, if I know what it is) amongst other things in a basket or tray.
I'd love to know how you would handle a guest room that serves a dual purpose (is something else most of the time). I really need an additional room in my home!

I love your color choice Rebecca! It is so fresh and light. My OCD suggests white spray paint on the cardboard in the center of the paper towel roll, then cutting them in let's say two inch sections. I placed them between the grommets on my curtains (around the rod) and they are perfect space holders until someone invents something better. I dunno, maybe you. Thanks for all the tips, especially the plantation shutter one. As always, you are amazing!
