I´m very grateful for your videos, i´m just trying to back to the best time an 2002 automatic fiat stilo abarth and your all of your videos are an inspiration and motivation to me.Thank you so much.
I drive a 2005 Fiat Stilo 1.4 and it still runs like new. I heard that 1.6 stilos had electronic problems because Fiat placed ECU on top of the engine. Probably they fixed that at 1.4 later. great videos. I like how you too apart whole car and rebuilding it. You must have great passion for this car. Also you can try a go pro cam for POV videos. I think it will be more convenient have both hands free. Keep the videos coming!
Haha , i was thinking exactly the same when i recorded the disassembly part haha!! Thanks! The 1.4 ecu's also fail , they are also used on the Punto's ( same engine ). Yes i have a great passion for this car but especially for rebuilding cars.
@@ItalianRebuild the 1.2 16v and 1.4 16v ECUs are Bosch and very rarely if ever fail in Stilos. The Punto 1.4 8v has a Marelli ECU which can give problems. In general, the 1.6 ECU fails due to heat but this is not the only reason of failure.
Amazing work Mark! You've got my sub. It's kinda nostalgic to me, as for quite some years I've been driving Punto I, then 2007 and 2012 Puntos. I've been digging in them myself too, so watching you brings back lots of fond memories :)
I thought I was one of the few who liked the Stilo, even my Italian mechanic tapped his forehead when I bought a second Stilo, this time a 1.4 16v made in 1/07. the first one is 1.9 jtdm 16v. they are not the best cars but I really like them and for that time the design is timeless which has matured with age and the technology is the same. I still don't know why I should buy a newer one when it's still the same except for the design (I mean tipo), keep up the good work, fingers crossed.
Thanks for your great comment. I agree the car is timeless and thats why i rebuild/remake one on my channel ( 5 door ). The car in this video will be back to factory new once it is finished. 🇮🇹
cant wait ti see you do the gaskets
Don't forget to like & subscribe! I really want to make it to 500 subs! ❤

Yeah it happens over time. People move the ECU's on the 1.6 to solve this problem.
