Well done John 👍👍 and Jim start with a gym in your bedroom just press-ups to start with after a few weeks you will notice a difference and the confidence will come 👍 oh and listen to clay he is honest says it how it is 🙂 I’m 52 btw lol so not a kid
Long story short 1979 addiction took me to rock bottom. Started the one day at a time. mostly good since. The first three years were really hard at times but not every day. June1st 1981 was the last time I needed nicotine drugs and alcohol sometimes since have been tempted but managed not to go back drugs and nicotine and dependence on alcohol. Those who try to bring people down in my book are part of the hurt people who hurt people. Even I had to learn how to be a encourager not a discourager over the years but after a while of lifting ones game it becomes natural behavior. Not saying I am a saint or perfect it sometimes boils down to me owning my bad mistakes and taking responsibility.
Clay your doing an awesome job on here, ( JIM ) my mums favourite saying to me as a kid was, dont let the bastards grind you down! Keep your head up mate, i find the best thing to do is watch and listen to comedy laughing helps alot, and i recommend you get yourself to a gym! before you know it you'll be feeling a lot better. ( John ) Your already winning, keep it up mate, your head is already in the right gear.
Well done John, I started just like you and now amazingly I'm clean three years later. It has flown by so stay strong, keep fighting! Listen to Clay Jim, he is spot on!Thanks Clay! Russ
John go you good thing. Like the all blacks WE all screw up. But mate we want you to win 🏆 you've got the prize in your sights. And we are all cheering for you. It does take a lot of hard work. But what you may not realize is how many you are already helping by sharing your journey. Keep up the good work bro. As the wise man said we are all mirrors.
Hi Clay, Your comments about weak men struck a chord. I'm reminded of a quote from Michael Hopf's novel “Those Who Remain”: “Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times. I think we are currently at the 'weak men create hard times' part of the cycle, I like to think an era of strong men is just around the corner, and you , I and many other good bastards are already kicking that era off.
Identifying feelings of unworthiness is key, the not good enough feeling, shame, comes from past events which we hold onto day after day week after week on and on, realizing and boldly observing these feelings, leads to the releasing of this negative energy allowing us to embrace new and opposing positive thoughts that then generate esteem and a sense of wellbeing and a feeling of goodness in our present life.. we are all vunerable to these feelings of fear and doubt and equally we are all just as capable of being in a state of love, trust and havi g self compassion if we will but pay attention to our inner world... know thy self... occ sis🕊NZ
Hi Jim, I'm of Clays' era when we didn't have mobile phones but we still had shit people who wanted to put other people down to make themselves feel that much bigger. Those types will always be there. Life is tough, but so are we, eh? Yes, is the answer :) It will get better as you get older, but you probably have 8 or 9 years in the meantime which is also by the way a critical time for males as we are very capable of making some stupid decisions though this period. Be prepared to avoid those. We all grow through adversity. I know it can be hard to deal with at your age but one of the better things you could do is try to ignore that bullying rubbish and as Clay says focus on your passions (not too many though :) ). As you get good at those things and develop a good and healthy mind and soul people will want to be with you. The only way to do this is with focus on the job at hand (and good sleeps). I used to race speedway, I got black flagged once because I was looking behind and not ahead. You know, eye on the ball stuff. The same is true of life, you need to focus on your goals, not watching your back all the time. If you think you need some reassurance with the bullying try joining a karate, aikido or jujitsu club. Then you have some self back-up ONLY IF you really need it and the great bonus is you are interacting with real people. Lesson one, get out of the situation peacefully if you can. Learning a bit about psychology may be interesting for you to find out why people do what they do but at this stage your schoolwork should be your priority. Whatever you do, learn your lessons well. Time spent learning well now will be very very good for you for the rest of your life. Good luck young fella. Try to surround yourself with good people but if you feel lonely think of your mates here ...and smile. John, well done mate. One day at a time... Clay, dyslexia, bugger I forgot. Sorry about the long comments. :)

John you are doing great, take it one day at a time. Jim get out and try various things out like Clay mentioned hiking, fishing ,sports till you find your passion and then just do the things you like and enjoy the most. Life is wonderful if we make it that way and we all can,we all struggle but just put one foot in front of the other taking life one day at a time.
Hola Bro,, Jim iz being bullied in the texts.. Jim needs to give them a lesson.. Tell them in text that they are bullying, disrespectful, and hurtful.. Ask them at what age do they think they are ever going to grow up. If they come back at you with more shit texts, show the police. If you find it hard to do that, ask your teacher to contact them. Ed Sheeran Waz teased at school because he had red hair and glasses...It Waz hurtful for Ed, but he never let that interfere with hiz focus of being a musician... Thea iz a saying , He who laughs last ,laughs loudest, longest , or best.. If you focus enough and put enough energy and effort into achievable goals you will get some achievement and success for yourself... Unless you're extremely lucky, most people have to work hard to get what they want , and lotza of stepping stones or stages to get thea . And happiness iz found along the way, not alwayz at the end of that road............ manolito surez
What people think of me is their problem, not mine. One of the things that amuses me is the car intended to catch attention driven by a person with an ugly personality or perhaps no personality.

Yep. When my studio is complete we will bring in a few guests.
What people think of me is their problem, not mine.
One of the things that amuses me is the car intended to catch attention driven by a person with an ugly personality or perhaps no personality.
Jim, for everyone that has sent you a mean message you can DELETE them and show them that's what happens if they do that.
yep. You don't need then in your life Jim.
People with shit put their shit on others.
