I also succeeded and I don't even speak russian. A few tips:
Desoldering this thing is HARD. I had to crank up my soldering iron to 450 C to melt the solder. Definitely get some rosin flux to make this part easier. Literally night and day compared to no flux. I spent a significant amount of time with my soldering iron in contact with the board and really heated it up but it turned out OK. Those desoldering needles were a lifesaver. Make sure you use the smallest size possible for each leg.
I came up with a reliable technique about half way through that made the desoldering process 100x easier. Since the joystick component is totally shot, the best thing to do is gently bend and break off the potentiometers from the PCB and then removing the legs is extremely easy. Just melt the solder and push the leg through with the needle, using a smaller needle than the hole if necessary. A combination of solder wick and the right size needle will help remove the excess solder. You can do a similar thing for the other solder points if you carefully break apart the housing for the mechanical part of the analog stick using side cutters.

Another thanks from me, this got me back in business just by following the visuals. I am a novice solderer so it took me a while but with google's help and the right equipment it got sorted. Removing / desoldering was the hardest but the needles were a great help. I also had to go hotter than usual. Also the thicker ribbon under the board seems a few mm shorter in mine, there was no way to get a finger under there to help re-attach it. I ended up carefully moving the board over it to align, then pressing it in with some flat tweezers.

Большое спасибо! Успешно поменяли стики на обоих контроллерах. Шлейф порвали на первом контроллере, а так все норм. Мастер который выплавлял стики сначала "разбавил" припой чтобы уменьшить температуру плавления, а уже потом убрал припой полностью и вытащил стик.

насколько знаю запчасти на индекс не продаются нигде. То что хотя бы стик можно купить уже большая удача. Я сам пользуюсь с порванным шлейфом, это почти не на что не влияет, никаких проблем

I believe that cable is required for the capacitive touch feature on the joystick to function. So it's not 100% essential.

I just replaced mine but removing the solder was really difficult even with a solder suction tool. What was the tool that you used in your left hand?(7:38) UA-cam auto translate didn't help at that part of the video. I also noticed that my thumbstick cap did not fit tightly on the joystick metal shaft so I had to put tape on the shaft to make it fit more tightly.

Пытался открыть "крышечку" чтобы подключить тригер, а крышечки не оказалось и я отломал гнездо для шлейфа =(( аккуратнее

because the motherboard and stick body are very good at dissipating heat. Set the temperature to at least 420, and preferably 480 degrees. But be careful not to overheat the elements around the stick so they don't start to fall off

не. Насколько я знаю для устранения дрифта на рифте надо в стик забрызгивать некий очиститель резистивного слоя, вроде так он называется
@@ra_ra_rasputin ну это же временная мера, этот слой рано или поздно сотрется и нужна будет замена. все стики то полюбому с двух потенциометров слеплены, а вот какие на рифт подойдут загадка(
@@Killzombi222 если правильно помню в рифте стики по другому устроены, и вряд ли получится такие в продаже найти. В инете есть разбор контроллеров, там все это можно посмотреть. Ну а вообще резистивный слой довольно долго должен держаться. К тому времени когда он сотрётся контроллер превратится в прах

И если паять жалом иголкой, то и будет такой говнопрогрев, надо было поставить жало нормальное.
Офанарели вообще, контроллер стоит как крыло от самолета и такое говно стоит, а APLRS поставить мозгов не хватило.
