This song hits you differently when you got older. You start to remember some childhood friends that for some reason went to different paths and someday you get to know that something sad happened to, a disease, some accident or just succumbed to drugs and you get really sad, and somehow feel a little guilty thinking if you were close tho them, some things wouldn't happened, but that's life, I suppose.
Sure as hell does. 30 years old now, multiple deployments and now have a family of my own. Hearing this nearly brought me to tears from remembering my father jamming out to this song for most of my life and then jamming out to it overseas.

A vontade que dava era gritar a frase preparatória para o refrão: "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? THE CRUELEST DREAM, REALITY."

That's what I immediately thought. I just watched Offspring at Woodstock '99 and 'Pretty Fly' sounded like normal Dexter Holland, but "The Kids Aren't Alright" sounded like his voice wasn't necessarily bad on that song, but was worn out from the entire concert- I assume that song was later in their set. I came to this video expecting his voice to be a lot worse because of how much these guys have aged since 1999, but sure enough, he sounds absolutely fucking amazing here, given that it's been over 20 fucking years. I will say, it's crazy to watch a video from 2022 directly after one from 1999... it is like a time capsule, but in a matter of five minutes. The 90s had the best era of music hands down, and it isn't even fucking close. Just... amazing. Truly sad I was born in 1996 and not 1986 or honestly even in 1980. I loved the offspring all the time, and finally I got a chance to visit their live show! I am 43 and super exited!!! 😂😂😂
You can see most of their audience looks already on their 40s! Never get old Cool!
Una de las mejores bandas. Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷. Ya estamos todos medios viejitos.
Sound board Guy deserves a medal and all the groupies he wants!!
There will never be anyone like them again : sum41, blink 182, slipknot , limp bizkit, greend day, system of a down, the offspring , simple plan , linkin park , billy talent, my chemical romance, fall out boy...

THE OLDSPRING. Powerfull concert
I'm impressed that even the show being recently, people with no phones filming and partying hard.
One of the greatest eras of music for all gernes but especially Rock 🤘
I was just watching The faculty Movie other day and this is the opening song so perfect for those times!

wow, I came here no expecting they would sound that amazing to be 2023. I am blown away !

that opening riff is timeless!
Gotta love the crowd, hardly a phone in sight, different ages of people enjoying the same music.
This song is still so damn accurate with its lyrics and so catchy till today. Good thing that there is no remake of this any time soon. Its the best in its original form. Period.
