I play rec with randoms a lot bcoz basically i dnt have to play in a structured system, its more fun bcoz i get to play how i want. No confusing zone, less stagnant offence where i just have to play a spotup and dont get dotted on my cuts. But everything you have said is 100% agreed with in my opinion.
I understand where you coming from but a squad should be playing the way you ALL want, There’s nothing wrong with spotting up for a second because youre still responsible for attacking the closeout. Even the Pg does it.

Me and my cousin 99overall Goat status purple one star and we get randoms that either just started playing rec or don’t win and they refuse to give us the ball, like they be trynna do whole lotta nothing treating us like we the bum randoms, 2)when we get bigs with Sharp take clogging the paint all game stopping us from getting to the rim, his matchup 7’3 sitting paint, and then decide to start shooting when we in the 4th and number 3 which I can’t stand, when I get the ball (mind you I’m a big 6’10pf) and the 6’1-6’3 guards on my team decide to start setting me screens they bring their man most likely locks and start spamming
if anyone sees this, remember this. Never, and I mean NEVER think that a play revolves around you. A play revolves around the entire team, so if it’s all about “go to the corner” then that isn’t their fault that you’re losing, it’s your fault. A better way to get good plays is to say “get open” meaning get open by any means so you can pass the ball and get easy points, going to the corner doesn’t work against people that play defense well (me for example) and ALWAYS trust your team, I’ve seen people miss one shot and never get the ball again the entire game, I always pass it to whoever is open, I’ve won so many games just by trusting my team, if you’re nice, they’ll know not to shoot if it they know they can’t make it
Solo REC player myself 95% of the time, I swear had a similar game in the REC myself yesterday, we was up by 5 with a little over 30 something seconds on the clock, I managed to get the inboud pass and was running the shot clock down, I kid you not my own team hit me with a timeout, the guy launched the ball up court for a TO, they got a three on the same possession, then the ball got launched up the court on the inbound pass like yourself for a TO and, once again hit a three and ended up losing the game. Seriously what is wrong with some of these people man, its like everyone is trying to be a highlight reel on every possession. Just pass the ball and play smart basketball instead of complicating everything, Im always a PF player myself, just let the PG do his thing.
My biggest complaint be when I have a PG that don’t wanna be a PG and a Center that can’t play defense or get boards that shit make playin wit randoms damn near impossible

In my experience most randoms don’t play to win. They are very quick to sell if they aren’t getting the ball. I’ve had plenty of situations where me and my homie are carrying a squad and we’re winning by 10,20,30 points and then goes our 75 overall random paint camping for 3 sec violations. Then we’ll pass dude the ball for him to turn it over or shoot a horrible shot. I believe they blame everyone else for their lack of skill/IQ for the game instead of reflecting on why they aren’t getting open

2K should have something in place to punish players who do this. Like the grading system isn't enough because it takes like 10 straight TOs to grade someone out and by that point it's usually too late, also some TOs or bad plays should be weighted more heavily than others.

2K should have something in place to punish players who do this. Like the grading system isn't enough because it takes like 10 straight TOs to grade someone out and by that point it's usually too late, also some TOs or bad plays should be weighted more heavily than others.

He gave them the chance to take this game twice. Why would he take that heavily contested 3 like that???? He didn't have to shoot that shot you should've called time and you would've won if they hadn't used them all. Everytime I look up he's back on cold.
