at 1:26 a message comes up on his steering wheel "riding clutch" what is this warning and why would he be riding the clutch? I thought the clutch would only be used to start from a stop with these paddle shifters?
Second question he never gets up into 6th gear, why wouldn't they change the gear ratios to allow him to use all the gears? Wouldn't it be beneficial to use all the gears or would require too many shifts if they had shorter gears on this track?
Thank you I love car racing but never took part in it myself so these things fascinate me.
I think the regulations state that the gear ratios are set before the season, along with the BoP and the teams can't change it. I also believe it's uniform in all SRO events, so say every team running the 720S in any SRO event, be it GT Europe or GT Asia, will have the same gear ratios throughout the season.
@@martinveres9863 Thank you for your explanation, makes sense. I used to be a really big F1 fan but stopped watching nearly a decade ago and just assumed they could change gear ratios every race.
Got into Le Mans endurance racing for a bit even went to a race at Mosport (Ontario Canada) but lost touch. I am not familiar with this series but the cars seem really good. I should try to watch this series I think.
Exact same braking points, and gears as you would in ACC. KUNOS really did their homework
