this is fake, 1991 Road rash didn't have a pc version its actually the 1994 Road Rash that was released on PC in 1996 and we had rat bikes, sports bikes, super bikes, Axle, Boose, Napa Valley and all, go look up Road rash 1994 game, it is the one that had the iconic 1996 pc version!

@@MRDaniel220 No one is truly better, each have different pro and cons. Road Rash 1, 2 ,3 and road rash PC where amazing.
Genesis had much better in race music but pc had many memorable tracks on menus from bands. Genesis only had one track for menus but at least they all were very good.
The gameplay was very good on all, what was great is the opportunity to have different paths on pc.

This video showed the wrong Road Rash for 1991. The 91 game was for Sega and the Road Rash the video had was the arcade one (I think) that was also for PC and 3DO. I played it on Playstation 1 personally but I didn't care for it other than it was awesome that they had Outshined as the menu song. The actual Road Rash 1 and Road Rash 2 for Sega were superior.
I was laughing out loud, such a goofy game! I worked on this game as an Environment Artist helping out though I was on the (Hitmen) team for Golf games as an Environment Artist when I worked at EA. This one was fun to work on because we were able to be more creative back in the day.

1. Road Rash 1991 ps1/PC (Seriously peak of the series, everything was just perfect)
2. Road Rash Jailbreak (underrated imo, really good solid entry, very fun, god tier soundtrack)
3. Road Rash 64 (Just plain fun, goofy as hell, buggy madness but overall just a great fucking time)

Road rash 64 is what got me started as a kid. We were too broke to afford a PS2 so I was one of the only kids who had a Nintendo 64 still. Im 26 now and have road redemption on my series x. Shits dope and addicting.

Its a game about outlaws racing in super bikes across the world while beating the crap out of each other and causing mayhem. How can some of the entries in the franchice be so bad when the premise is so good?
Many games are like this in our current time. In the old days, they worked hard to make games and have a good story, especially Japanese games, but today it's not like that anymore and everything is just graphics (especially famous game companies), but there are still small companies that make good games, but they are not famous

Road Rash II was the best. The clip of Road Rash here wasn't the 90s version. There was a similar issue with Wipeout 3 compared to its predecessors. Road Rash should have fused it's gameplay with the game design of Sega's Manxx TT

The footage for Road Rash is not the correct footage. That's the 3DO version which released on multiple platforms between 94-96. The original Road Rash from 1991 looks almost identical to Road Rash II.
The series also came to a halt after Jailbreak. Anything after that is simply paying homage to or is inspired by Road Rash.

I saw an NES On a Chip plug and play using the Genesis sprite from Road Rash for a cheapo racing game. The background was clearly NES quality but Road Rash for Mega Drive is not impressive if the NES can do the same sprite.

The best of the series is jailbreak, and this successor to the road rage series doesn't really have the success of the old series, like using firearms and taking away the jokes.

Bro, the last several games like Road Redemption, Road Rage etc werent even part of the Road Rash series, the Devs were just fans of the series and wanted to make a sort of modern spiritual sequel. They arent part of the series though and arent made by the same team.

Big fan of jailbreak on ps1! Newer games looks like shit, the 64 version seems cool, it's a shame that they could not bring a new version of jailbreak, to me it was as perfect as they could get back then, still enjoyable on a moded ps classic! I play it often!

I really don't get it. Road rash jailbreak was a superb game, way ahead of its time, with minor issues concerning balance and speed/driving ability, that was kinda irrelevant, but it felt solid. I was honestly searching online to find an hd remaster of jailbreak or something newer, but i cringed my life out with all the new ones.

You see this game just needs to be executed properly. What we need is the racing road rash concept minus all the goofy coins and fake looking goal post nonsense. Give us a realistic game with no addon weird fake nonsense like race down the pan American highway, or highway 1 through cali or the nevada desert, realistic engine mods, realistic body armor options, customizable weapons, and put in chivalry level combat, give the players 4 ways to block an attack, and 4 ways to attack, and have a multitude of player deaths. Come up with different game modes in addition to racing, like last man standing on a 1 way interstate journey and make it like pubg where your ass is back to the lobby after you die once. And of course they desperately need to fix the racing mechanics which are just plain stupid. This game could absolutely kick ass if they would stop cutting corners.
Unfortunately, what can be done? The game monetization industry has ruined everything and all game developers only care about money. 😑😑
there is nothing wrong with that as long as they do it the right way. Making money pays your bills, it makes you work harder and dream bigger. Shareholders can screw stuff up but then other small fries take over and get a chance at the title. @@zetgamez5274
Road redeption, is a pretty decent spiritual successor, it's a lot of fun, it has its own things (being a game inspired by Road rash and not a game in the saga) like an rpg system where you improve weapons and armor that reset if you die before reaching a checkpoint phase, it has bosses, firearms, and a variety of contact weapons, I insist if you have not tried it you will have fun. On the other hand, the other game inspired in the Road Rash saga "road rage" is a boring repetitive garbage , it is unfair to put both games on the same scale.
