Becoming a Penelope fan. Picked up a bottle of Valencia and saw the Penelope 15yr Founders Reserve American Light Whiskey… something you’ve tried or heard of? Looking for feedback before purchasing. It’s shy of $100
I see R/S adding several age stated bottles in the year to come. Hopefully they keep prices fair but with the way other brands are changing time will tell. I see all the R/S brands like Remus adding more aged products. Will this take away from those that source from them not sure on that. Will be interesting in the coming year. Enjoy!!
Just cracked mine and had a sip before watching this video so i could see what you had to say with my own unbiased opinion first. All i can say is your review was spot on. Also, nice bb36 (or is that the 41?)! I have the prev gen "smiley" dial blue face and its my favorite watch.
You turned me on to Penelope maybe a few years ago and I grabbed this bottle w/o a second thought when I saw it. Paid about $80 for it and havent cracked it yet but looking forward to it.
So I grabbed a bottle and the most interesting thing to me was not just the 9 year age statement, but the fact that it was distilled in Indiana AND Kentucky! So Barton in there as well? All of the notes I have read indicate more MGP characteristics. I’ll report back after I try…
Picked this bottle up about a month ago. It is good. I then bought a Rio and Vanlecia, which are both fantastic. 🥃
Ah man I love love love that Valencia
@WhiskeyRaiders Any particular reason why didn't go with the fluted bezel on the Datejust? Or was it not available?
I'm actually a Tudor guy! No fluted option in that catalogue or I'd have definitely considered it.
@@BottleRaidersAh, I see now that its the Black Bay. Wear it in good health.
@@BottleRaiders tudor really is Rolex's better looking brother!
This is a good bottle. After I tried it I picked up a few backups while I had the chance.
That's dedication!
Thanks for the review! My buddy brought this bottle over the other day, and I was very impressed! I hope I can get my hands on my own bottle.

Love your reviews on Reddit!
Hey, thanks! Appreciate you!

Man, I totally forgot about the glass stopper era!

Awesome first look. I will grab if i see it! Unfortunately in NC/SC they allocate most of the Penelope and this ine will go into their lotteries 😢
Oh man! That said, compared to some of the other stuff they've been putting in the allocated bin, it's worth a grab if selected!
@mildTurkey77 I picked up a bottle today. Got lucky. Thought the price was high but had to take a chance
@@jdix73I couldn't believe it. Walked in an ABC store I. A small town in NC and there it was! $64.99. Snatched it right up!
I saw the bottle in SC but passed it on….now I’m kicking myself
Tried this at a store wasnt to impressed for the price
Stores that let you try before you buy are the BEST!
