I had an American kid at my school, I’m from the UK and he had to move schools after he was trying to be a bully and it didn’t work, everyone just took the piss out of him so much, which forced the headteacher to tell him to leave the school😂

As a British person who's in an American school. It's legit the opposite and people respect you. Maybe it's just my school but damn the respect here is amazing
It's because of the accent. If a British person went to my school back then, we would've adored their accent, asked about culture, all that.
Once, I was waiting at my old university for one of my classes to start and I was outside another classroom, and there was a Scottish or Irish professor and I was so mesmerized, I paused and listened to him for about 5 minutes.

There was actually an American kid who went to my school called Michael and he was the most annoying kid around! He would constantly 'correct' people when they said something like "these crisps are tasty'and he would say 'those are chips idiot! And he would try brag about hpw tuff he was and how everyone in America had guns. Then one day he made the stupid decision of walking up to a kid called Alfred (a really tough kid) and started making fun of his posh accent then alfred kneed him in the stomach and repeatedly smashed his head into the wall until it bled! Alfred was expelled and Mitchell left but Alfred is still rememberd as a kind of hero.

I see in a lot of things that us Dutch and British people have in common. We're blunt/direct. Insulting your friends actually means you like em. No way we would tell a friend we love em. Had an American in my school. He tried to bully me because i was the guy who kept to myself and got bullied constantly. I knocked him spark out when he cornered me on the field when i was cuddling with my girlfriend at the time and gained a little respect from those who bullied me. Fizzled out by the next year and i was back to being bullied again but it was nice to have that moment of respect.
