You can build them as pretty as you like, it just takes a bit more time and some creativity, just like other case mods. None of mine are this ugly, though none of them were quite so cheap. It wouldn't be that big of an ask to make it look a little nice and use RGB lights to make decorative fire effects.
If I wanted to heat a shed with a mining farm is there anyway to set it up to vary how much power it consumes with a thermostat? We currently use waste oil and propane to heat our barns, the waste oil is free but should an outdated rig like this be more profitable than using propane?
What combo are you using? To heat my garage I'm running a couple 7950X3D & 3070 rigs that get 720-740MH/s, and a 5900X & 3070 that gets 535MH/s. All CPUs are running at 1v and I have the GPUs power limited to around 55%. It's getting colder so I should probably boost the power on the GPUs.
Another great video. I've been binge watching for hours. 😆 This technique will still be beneficial to me because I have extra computers and get free electricity.
You could shave some of your power costs by losing the main power supply and running a pico adapter with your server psu. Then you’ll only need 1 power supply
you dont need 2 psu for that, Just use a ATX psu ( 450w gold or platinum ) and put the GPU in the PC without the riser on the next 16x PCIe and you will save a lot of power. You will be bellow 198 watts. Try it, PSU are the most efficient at 50 to 60 % of there total Watt.
Honestly speaking, i heard all the bitcoins is about to be mined already….why arent u mining other crypto? Are all of the others not profitable? Bitcoin is at 100k, it wont go higher thats its zenith…and why arent u using solar to do this?
Easiest way to get btc out of the trash 😂 Anyhow i would driil nipples on thecd drive pool it out also on the botoom clean everything. No need for server psu or the riser easy any atx psu would do the job. That lenovo board have how much 8 ram slots mist be good version of who knows what if you can put xeon cpu or something who knows this can be a sleeper 😂
If you're running a space heater, you spend $30 on power and only get heat. With this rig, you spend $30 on power, you receive exactly as much heat as the space heater would have provided, but you also get a rebate paid in crypto. It's sort of like a financial heat-pump, which uses money as it's working fluid to transport more heat into your house than you would otherwise be able to afford.

where can i put my btc wallet address for direct deposit to my wallet ? thanks. And i don't see your referral .
after unplugging you should hold down the power button to discharge the circuit of electricity before working with it.
The wife would be thrilled about this BEAUTIFUL art piece in the house 😉 Great vid man!

on these older units, i got multiple spots i could use, i used a main one. wondering though can they all be used for mining?

Another great video. Thanks as always
Sweet..warthog would probably pay more per month..1 gpu/cpu pays me around $40 per month

wont there be like less mining performance since its connected to only 4 PCIE lanes?
Awesome video
Up gpu 3060 whats gpu
im having issues on windows 11 getting this to download I even disabled the firewall and still wont work any suggestions?
Can you make one that mines Peercoin?
Biggest problem you'll have getting an old PC from the dump is dealing with a PSU that isn't too powerful

great video, thx.
would personally just put the gpu directly into the system, maybe find a power supply that has an extra spare pci-e cable left
I thought the Lenovo P520 required ECC RDIMMs.I don't think I've ever seen ECC ram with gamer-style heatsinks.

Sounds like my kind of Saturday morning. Thanks for stopping by backwards miner!
@ModernMiningHub got to the farm 4:30 am and finishing everything up for the run nice and slow 😁
Nice work, great contribution to the community.
I also heat my home with the rigs :))))
It’s my favorite part of mining :)
