  • While sitting in my tree stand during the afternoon of Maine's opening day of deer hunting I was able to watch three doe forage for food. This is the first deer I've ever seen with ear tags and a collar. I feel lucky to have been able to witness these girls in action! (sorry about the vertical video!)

NH likes to survey the hunters for this and other info.

What do the ear tag and collar mean. I live in J2 of NH's wildlife management regions and have never seen this here. Is it something that Maine is doing for statistical reasons?

+Ken Gilbert III (Ken The Mailman) As Richard W stated, they use these to track deer patterns and to keep tabs on breeding. Thanks for watching!

Howdy, was wondering about you. Are you sick? How is your daughter? I see you don't make videos anymore. Hope you are ok.

I have a 2000 4.0 xj and it will start and run perfect when it's cold. But if I run it up to temperature, then restart it, it will run very rough. like someone pulled to plug wires off. doesn't do it all the time, and I am able to rev it and it clears..Any thoughts?
    thanks in advance.

Hi Gene! I would plug into it with a scan tool to see if any codes are stored. Even without the check engine light on, something could have triggered it. If nothing shows, I would try the coolant temp sensor. When they go bad they'll act that way, or sometimes just the opposite. It's the cheapest place to start. If that doesn't help, it could be anything from a leaking fuel injector to a bad O2 sensor, or it could be in need of a tune up (wires, plugs, ignition coil, etc.). Without having it here it's hard to point you in the exact right direction, but I hope this can get you started towards a fix!

that's too funny, it did trip a coolant temperature sensor code. I cleaned it and reset the computer. (disconnected the battery) and have not see the code since. I think I will just replace it now, it's only about 30 bucks..When I saw it, it didn't dawn on me that the 2 could be related...thanks:)

The temp sensor signals to the ECU what temp the coolant is, which affects how much or little fuel is injected, ignition timing, and can even play a role in shift points of the transmission. So a faulty one can cause some havoc! I've not had any luck cleaning them, so I hope replacing it fixes the issue. Sounds like a likely cause with the code being there in the past. :)
