@@craigforsberg9844I saw them in Cleveland. I can’t choose between them, ZZ Top or Metallica, about the best live performance I’ve ever seen. Bush and Nickelback are up there too.
Love the expectation and satisfaction on your face! AC DC mattered. They never failed to bring us straight-at-you, in-your-face, like a freight train rock.
I was at this concert tour. They had the "real" cannons along the top of the stage rigging. At the end of this song, each cannon went off right down the line. The cannons were "armed" with these little bits of paper, so the whole stadium was FILLED with floating pieces of cannon fodder. Fucking awesome. (I still have the ticket stub and a piece of the cannon paper in my scrap book).
Ya got that rite mate. I met Sir Bon Scott at the Raffles Hotel in WA Perth. I was only 7yrs old. He bought me a "Fire Engine" drink ( Lemonade n red cordille) n sat me on his bar stool.
It's so true, we need our rock n roll to get us through each day. On the way to work on the car radio, on our lunch break, on the way home, and then again when the alarm clock goes off again the next day. Great review Biz.
The cannons put a small crack in the roof of the venue here in Maine in the 80’s before there was such a thing as a noise ordinance law 😂 Ears rang for 3 days 🙌🏼
I love how your reactions are so real and down to earth. Watching your face when you heard this song, is how I reacted when I first heard it when it first came out! Thank you for making me smile. Your fan from Montana!
When Brian Johnson came on the scene it was electric! I was determined not to miss it anytime it came on the radio. I actually finally bought this album in the 9th or 10th grade. My friend had a brand new Caprice Classic and it held 4 people in front and 4 in the back. We had so much fun rockin and cruisin! I still love it and always will! It's not often that a band like AC/DC could find a new front man and keep on rockin. I'm such a huge fan! Peace!
Thanks for shouting out the drummer. Phil Rudd is so under appreciated/ taken for granted but he’s so important to this bands sound. The guy is amazing. He’s a machine. I know you’ve seen Whole Lotta Rosie at Riverplate, but have another look and listen to see what he contributes to this band. Thanks Biz
Funny you say it is a rebellious thing, because back then that is exactly what this was. We were rebellious for just LISTENING to this type of music in the 80's and those who were around back then, rockin out to this, know.

When they were on tour in the '70's, the tour bus drove past a farm. In the paddock, Malcolm saw an old Howitzer Canon. He remembered this. Then, around the time they were writing this album, Malcolm was reading a book called 'For those about to die, we salute you.' It was a book about the Gladiators. Anyway, when he was working on the riff for For those about to rock, he remembered the Canon, then the book. Then he put it all together. And then, BANG! Also, at the end, there are 21 shots fired. RIP Malcolm Young. What a Rockin Song. ACDC still goin in 2024.
It is mind blowing this was released in 1981 and the production holds water today, every instrument is so clear and tight.

Yet another epic concert. Angus playing, is energy on steroids ❤ Never stopping.. beautiful
It's mostly his brother Malcom, who wrote all these brilliant rhythm parts and is one of the sickest rhythm players in rock.
