I am impressed too! I’ve been looking for a repeatable Boston Terrier breeder in Upstate, NY and I haven’t found anyone. It’s so discouraging😔. I lost my Boston Terrier a little over a year ago to a ruptured gallbladder ( with surgery he only had a 25-50% chance of making it). I had to make the terrible decision to help him over the rainbow bridge. I miss him sO incredibly much! My house has been sO empty with out him.
There's no such thing as a responsible breeder. Only irresponsible pet owners don't get their animals spayed or neutered! 🤬 There will NEVER be a shortage of dogs and cats that need a loving home. The shelters are full of pets that need to be adopted. First of all, if you get your male dog or cat neutered your pet will be less likely to roam away from home when the females in the area go into heat in the surrounding area. An intact male will do just about anything to find a mate, including finding creative ways to escape from the house. Once free to roam, he risks injury from traffic and fights with other animals. Having your pet spayed or neutered will also help decrease the number of animals needing shelter. There are far too many animals out there without adequate loving homes to go to. Millions of cats and dogs end up in shelters every year. The majority of dogs euthanized every year are of the Pitbull breed. More than 359,000 dogs were euthanized in 2023. Meanwhile, 330,000 cats were also euthanized last year. Spaying your kitten when she is 3 to 6 months old will virtually eliminate the risk that she will develop mammary cancer when she's older. Additionally, spaying your kitten prevents many different infections and cancers that occur in the uterus and ovaries. Neutered dogs also don’t develop testicular cancer, which is common in older dogs who haven't been neutered. They also have a lower risk of pancreatic cancer, and their life expectancy is increased up to 18% longer. Animal Shelter Euthanasia Statistics: In animal shelters, 56% of dogs and 71% of cats admitted are euthanized. Every year, around 920,000 shelter animals get euthanized. Around 2.4 million animals euthanized in shelters were healthy and could’ve been saved and adopted. Out of all the animals that get euthanized in animal shelters every year, around 530,000 of them are cats and around 390,000 of them are dogs. Only 52% of U.S. animal shelters are no-kill shelters, but even no-kill shelters are not entirely no-kill; such shelters can still euthanize 10% of their population. So please stop contributing to the pet overpopulation and get your pets spayed and neutered. It's the responsible thing to do!

So as a standard poodle owner, I’m always baffled at comments like “why would you want 75 percent poodle?” Why wouldn’t you?? Our poodle is the best! She’s sweet, smart, chill (yes they can be very chill dogs), and incredibly graceful and beautiful. When puppy shopping, we met a doodle breeder who raved about their standard stud and we decided on a standard. Anyway, love your channel but had to respond to your comment about the amazing spoos.🙂🐩.
We try to keep moms that are very golden like. I think poodles are amazing too! Smart, obedient, but I love a golden retriever too! Best of both worlds. Thanks for watching!
Congrats to you for being such responsible, caring breeders. We have an F1b Goldendoodle that is almost 12, he has been the best companion! We decided 2 years ago to bring another dog into our home. Things have the most interesting way of working out!… After much research due to the retirement of our dogs breeder, we found a woman that started with Goldendoodles and knew our breeder, but had since shifted her lines to multigenerational Australian Labradoodles. Because of her 20+ years invested in her lines, we went with her, and have another fabulous personality, smart, excellent health super loving Doodle in our family! The work she does, like you all, of monitoring health, choosing your program’s dogs carefully and giving them a super start brings joy to SO many. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the UA-cam world. If it helps one more breeder to do a better job, it will be worth it!!
Mari, that's such a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing. So glad you had back to back great experiences! Thanks for your support and glad to hear you are enjoying the videos!
This is the best channel about dog breeding so far I've watched on UA-cam. I hope someday I'll be able to take care of dogs as fine as you did to them. Greetings from Indonesia. 🙏🏻😀
I'm so impressed by you guys and what you do with yr pups b4 going with new families, we have a great pup and we got him at 8wks and the breeders didn't do any of these things with them. I'm super impressed. Love yr channel, lots of great info
Do you teach your puppies’ owners how to take care of their puppy’s coat? I always see groomers complaining about uneducated doodle owners. great video!
I would so love to be close by….I love what you are doing with these dogs. I would like one so bad….My neighbor’s dog had a difficult birth and the kids came and got me, I helped with the birthing and even gave mouth to mouth to one puppy because the Mummy was at her first litter and did not know what to do. After she saw me do what needed to be done, she was able to take over…..We lost only the first puppy, before the kids came to get me. I will never forget the wonderful time I had to help this small dog deliver her first litter.
Another great video! You are so flawless and should teach. I grew up with a teacher. We are so excited about meeting our puppy at 4 weeks. We have named her Olive and talk about her with Murphy. I am in love with Bella. She is the sweetest mommie and has the most beautiful face. Have a nice week.
Another great video Erin! You’re definitely a pro at what you do. Always informative, fun, and thorough in the least amount of words. It’s therapeutic to watch/listen to what you have to say with your relaxed and inviting manner. I feel as if I know you! I’m still praying for a summer puppy!
I have a sincere question that I hope does not come across as aggressive (I don't know a lot about the Doodle world). How is the $3,400 price tag justified for a mixed breed dog (essentially a mutt)? Are the parent poodles & goldens proven in any way like confirmation, hunting, agility, etc.? I willingly paid a pretty penny for my Aussies, but I am confused about doodles. You seem to be a very organized breeder, so I thought I would ask.
Hey Jennifer! I don’t mind the comment at all. I think for doodles is about high quality genetics. Good health with their hips and elbows. But no it does not come with like backgrounds of AKC ribbons or other titles like purebreds. It is about demand and popularity also. Our price didn’t start at 3400. It started at 1500, 8 years ago. But now with the practices we do beginning potty training, crate training, ENS, and puppy culture it warrants the price for our families. When we started we only did health testing with paw print genetics. We’ve grown so much in our experience. Our families really appreciate it. I hope this answers! Enjoy your night.
Have to agree. Even if the puppies are weaned, they need the socialization. Now a lot of new research suggests 10 weeks. At least you have another dog to socialize them and it gives the older dog a job.
I am so addicted to your channel! We don't have goldendoodles but would love one in the future. Currently we do have 2 gloden grandpups living with us and our 2 cats!
I'm a groomer and dog trainer, and I have over 40 years of experience. You should be honest; Poodle Golden retriever mixes DO shed. Not as much as a Golden does, but yes they do lose coat. AND they grow massive amounts of coat that (easily) gets matted. If you want to breed and sell mixed "designer" dogs do so more honestly. It's not a breed, it's an expensive mutt. Cute, but a money-making mutt. Edit: OMG!! You guys do hip and elbow x-rays during the first heat cycle? First of all the hips should not be x-rayed at the time of the heat cycle as the hips (joints) can be too loose for a proper evaluation. Second, hips and elbows ARE NOT developed enough to be evaluated before the age of two years. Also OFA does NOT give a hip ratting before the age of two years, so it is a lie if you are telling people that you do OFA on a female before the age of two. Your Home is just a puppy mill. That is 100% correct.
That’s a lot of thoughts! We don’t do their OFA’s during their cycles. Maybe a miscommunication. It says after their cycles. Preliminary results are valid - and penn hip is done anytime after 6 months. If we had a questionable score of course we would wait until they could do it again. Our f1b’s don’t shed. F1’s do. Which is what our Bella is. I also never said doodles were not mutts. We just love Goldendoodles and love their family friendly disposition. So thanks for sharing.
Pepper I agree. Almost all breeder who offer a guardian program are millers. Do your research people. There are horror stories of the guardian programs. The reason millers turn to guardian homes is because there is limit on how many intact dogs you can have and this must be necessary to keep the ¼ and ¾ mix. They use this program to get around this and sometimes use it to make even more profit from the puppies. They are not the ones who are caring for the dog and raising it. Some of theses guardian contracts are outright scams. Doodles are not hypoallergenic and even poodles are not 100% hypoallergenic. Anyone who claims that they don’t shed at all is lying and doodles are harder to groom and maintain then the poodles. Even poodles will loose hair just like you loose hair naturally. The creator of the Goldendoodle regretted it. Responsible poodle breeders do not sell to doodle breeders. It likely the same with the Golden Retrievers. Especially full registration dogs. You typically have to co-own your first few with a breeder you have built a relationship with and title them. No Quality breeder of theses dogs will outright sell you a dog with breeding rights. They are often acquired from un-proven mediocre lines. Many people who have bought doodles came to regret it. You rarely get the best of the poodle and the best of the cross. This breeder is charging a high price for her puppies that has not participated in programs that mutts are allowed. Agility, rally, obedience…etc. There are plenty of red flags here.
About how long is your waitlist? We want to know when we should put our names on the list for our next dog. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to see how you care for moms and pups. PS I noticed your Young Life shirt the other day. I was a leader in grad school!
Bridgett - Thats awesome! We serve on the committee for our local Young Life area. We are now estimating people who put a deposit now with be able to get a puppy in the Fall of this year. Please go to www.doodlesofnc.com and place an application. I look forward to talking with you about a puppy!
Thanks so much for sharing! Great information. Would you say it’s common to have 3 litters in process in your home most of the time? I really enjoy your videos!
Hi again do you mind sharing how to get a website set up? What website you used ? & how to do a link tree ? & what camera equipment you use ? & how to get your kennel name trade marked ? . & how to start your own breeding program & deworming dosage if pups are under 25 pounds iknow the pyrantel doesn’t recommend usage if under 25 pounds I wanted to deworm my pups at 4,6,8 weeks. Are you able to email me with responses ? It’s my first litter trying to get things going thank you in advance your channel is very helpful. Its helped me so much ❤
Elovely, We've really enjoyed Fromm puppy food. This food seems to be really gentle on their stomachs after transitioning from moms milk. As far as increasing the amount of food they eat, we only keep the food bowls filled. They graze eat and we monitor their weights to ensure each puppy is gaining weight.
@@DoodlesofNC Thank you, where did you find the grids to fit?? Great site too with all your parents. I think Duncan would be my choice for a Dad if I was to adopt a Doodle. 🐶😍
Hey, I have a question about your Guardian Program. I want to do something similar with my dogs. Do these owners pay the same price for these puppies or is it a reduced rate? Thank you!
I had a dog for nineteen years, but it’s been 10 years. Now that I am retired. I would like to get another small dog. How big do these dogs get. I have a big back yard.
I have had American Bulldogs for the last 10 years. Last year, the breeder contacted me and said he had a male that he’d like me to take, and requested “access” to him for breeding. Do I charge? Would that be rude? If I was to charge, what fee is correct?😬 My mother, sister, and best friend are all 3 veterinarians and I’ve asked their advice, but I would LOVE your advice as well!
Is he asking you to house the new dog? There needs to be a contract and all information gathered from all parties before you take him! Everyone needs clear understanding so nobody gets upset with each other. Hope this helps!
@@DoodlesofNC hello! ☺️. No, I just paid “half price” for him. I brought him home at 7 weeks and he turned one in October. He contacted me last week and said someone was bringing him a female and he wanted to pair her with Walter. I bought my female from the breeders parents 10 years ago, and he took over their kennel. We didn’t sign a contract other than the standard one the kennel has when a puppy is purchased. Thank you so so much for your advice, I really appreciate it! I’m a Medivac nurse and my husband is in medical school, so being a breeder hadn’t crossed my mind and now here I am 😅
I have a question, what is the best age to stud a male dog? My family and I decided to breed our labrador but we're not exactly sure when is a time to stud him some say it's okay at 9-11 months, others say it's best to wait until to 1-2 years old and it got us very confused
@@DoodlesofNC OMG no would you put your child outside! Why would anyone want to leave their furry ball friend outside except to pee, and walks. Why would you bother a breeder enquire about a dog if you want to leave it outside. Come on people what is wrong with you. Iam not mad at you. I just don't understand people sometimes. I want to get a dog to love, and be my best friend, but also for therapy, and emotional reasons. I would spoil my best friend rotten. I would never think of leaving it outside.
Goth, we almost have one puppy in every state of the US. California is the farest west coast, with us being in NC. Maine and Florida are the farthest North/South. We have a great friend, who is a flight attendant, that delivers puppies for us. She has a travel carrier that is able to go under the seat for take off and then the puppy is able to sit in her lap for the whole flight. Our families meet her at the airport for pick up.
This is sooo interesting! May I ask, and I hope it’s okay but firstly can a family not purchase a puppy from you and they’re there pet, not used for breeding etc ? If they want their dog but just to be a pet xx
Being respectful in telling these people who breed with NC Doodles are getting only $250 per puppy is not near enough. On the market is around $2,000 or more so be careful with this investment.
El Dorado Storage, Thanks for the comment. Our guardian families don't have any responsibilities with breeding. They are looking for a pet but enjoy and want to apart of our program. They are then matched with a puppy to raise, care and train for as its their goldendoodle to raise. Once we complete the genetic and health testing the goldendoodle visits us on their heat cycle to breed and then again for 6 weeks to have puppies. Once they are retired, up to four litters, the goldendoodle is spayed and the goldendoodle is the families forever pet. Hope this helps.
Hi, I've always wanted to breed my f2b Goldendoodle. I have done a ton of research, to the point that my parents are just annoyed. I cannot find out anything about Goldendoodle genetics, can anybody explain?
Most breeders don't care about the dogs' age and physical state as long as they can start reliably pumping money out of them. They will absolutely breed 6-8 month old dogs that aren't even teenagers yet. It's like getting a 12-year-old pregnant. Ethical breeders would wait until the dog is at least 2 years old.
hello I have goldendoodle pupy she is 5 months now. We want to get puppy. We are in Miami. Can you help us about to get pregnant and breeding about her. And how much does it cost to us? and how much we get from puppies? I would be happy if you can inform us.
Renee, they are for sale. Check out our website, www.doodlesofnc.com, for more information. Our guardian program allows for us to breed while allowing the best care and love for our dogs by placing them with a family until they are able to breed.
Wxtter, thats a hard question to answer. We don't have any hard costs, like pay per click ads, or marketing service. All of our business is done through education, like youtube, blog articles, and SEO. Our website, youtube channel is just my wife and I learning new skills and doing it ourselves. We do pay a close friend of our to help us write content.
@@DoodlesofNC Holy crap, with millions of dogs being put down in this country every single year you're breeding 14 dogs?!?! And each one can have 3-10 puppies per litter?? At least twice a year?? So you're churning out hundreds of dogs a year and capitalizing off the "cute looks" market and lying to yourself by pretending not a single one of these dogs will end up neglected and abandoned and put down before it's 5 years old. I think the Guardian program is a great concept for keeping down your in-house costs, sanitation, and chaos, but the only difference between this and a backyard puppy mill is that you're very ethical and intelligent about it. That's an absolutely irresponsible amount of dogs to breed. It's gross.
Penn hip usually around 6-8 months. OFA preliminary can be done at the same time. If the results are not great we usually do it again around 2 years to confirm. If it still didn’t improve then we will not use the mom.
Karen's pick out types of dogs on weather they shed hair. This is why this movement that ONLY experienced professional breeders should be the ones allowed to make puppies is madness. Only the worst Karen types breed dogs professionally ..

I’m so glad!! We can’t wait.
You do a great job raising your dogs
Another great video Erin! You’re definitely a pro at what you do. Always informative, fun, and thorough in the least amount of words. It’s therapeutic to watch/listen to what you have to say with your relaxed and inviting manner. I feel as if I know you! I’m still praying for a summer puppy!
Hey Julia! So glad you are enjoying these videos! Thanks for the kind words. Your puppy will be here soon!
@@DoodlesofNC Yaaa!!🤗
Great information! Can’t wait for the next video! You really take so much pride in what you do 😊
Thank you! We really try.
In the uk it must be 8 weeks plus to keep the pupies with their mum 🇬🇧👏🏻
Oh wow! I could see that if they didn’t have any other dog to socialize them. We are fortunate to have Bella!
Most trainers & veterinarians recommend at least 8 weeks old before they are adopted. It’s irresponsible to let them go to their new home before that.
Have to agree. Even if the puppies are weaned, they need the socialization. Now a lot of new research suggests 10 weeks. At least you have another dog to socialize them and it gives the older dog a job.
Love love your channel. I eagerly await each new video ❤️
Thank you so much! Another one will be Sunday!
You’re such amazing breeders! Have you ever heard of Bailey Williams? Well she’s a golden doodle breeder too and both of you have amazing!
We have seen her videos too!
I am so addicted to your channel! We don't have goldendoodles but would love one in the future. Currently we do have 2 gloden grandpups living with us and our 2 cats!
Thank you for your support!
Edit:
OMG!!
@@DoodlesofNC they do shed. All dogs shed.
You bring me so much joy! Love you.
Aww. Thanks Mickey. hope you have a great week.
I hope your day is awesome!!
You too!
Love this channel. So positive! 😀
Thank you! It’s how we try to live life!
so interesting, thanks for taking the time
Glad you enjoyed it!
It all depends. We’ve had more than that before and less than that before!
Could you please breakdown how you create the spreadsheet on the lineage?
It’s just a chart with mom, dad , DOB etc.
Its helped me so much ❤
We used wix, Jp self taught with UA-cam videos! And we use our iPhones.
@@DoodlesofNC Thank you for all your responses I really appreciate everything you guys inspire me so much
How do you keep the puppies pooh firm? Especially during increasing their food to adjust to their daily recommended feeding amounts.
How old are the puppies when you allow them to be adopted?
8 weeks.
Never heard of guardians before. Is that common in America? I just had 1 stud dog I owned and 3 mums. Pups can sell from $2500 to $6k here.
I’m not sure if it’s just American! That is exciting for you !
Love your process, care, and dog areas. Where did you find the grid trays? Thanks.
We have them on our site. Www.doodlesofnc.com/breeders-shop
@@DoodlesofNC Thank you, where did you find the grids to fit?? Great site too with all your parents. I think Duncan would be my choice for a Dad if I was to adopt a Doodle. 🐶😍
You should write a book, I would definitely buy!
That is so nice! I’ll put that idea in my back pocket.
How long do the dogs stay in the guardian program. When they are retired from breeding do those families keep them?
Yes those families keep them. It takes about 3 years total.
Hey, I have a question about your Guardian Program. I want to do something similar with my dogs. Do these owners pay the same price for these puppies or is it a reduced rate?
Thank you!
They pay a reduced rate!
You are so competent!
I keep learning more and more every day!
Great content! Where did you get the doors on your whelping room area?
They were made for us by a contractor. We found the spindles at Home Depot and he made them for us!
😍🥰 Loving this channel ❤
Thank you!!! We appreciate you!
I had a dog for nineteen years, but it’s been 10 years. Now that I am retired. I would like to get another small dog. How big do these dogs get. I have a big back yard.
Hi Carol, congrats on retirement! mediums are around 30-40. Minis are usually 25 and under.
I have had American Bulldogs for the last 10 years. Last year, the breeder contacted me and said he had a male that he’d like me to take, and requested “access” to him for breeding. Do I charge? Would that be rude? If I was to charge, what fee is correct?😬
My mother, sister, and best friend are all 3 veterinarians and I’ve asked their advice, but I would LOVE your advice as well!
You definitely got this down pat..good job…
Why thank you!
I have a question, what is the best age to stud a male dog? My family and I decided to breed our labrador but we're not exactly sure when is a time to stud him some say it's okay at 9-11 months, others say it's best to wait until to 1-2 years old and it got us very confused
They are fertile around 9 months old. As long as their testing has come back great - I don’t see the problem with it.
@@DoodlesofNC thank you so much for telling me
Doodles of NC What would be a red flag where you would refuse an application?
Anyone who wants to keep their dog outside!
Did you have customers from out of states and what was the farthest?
Goth, we almost have one puppy in every state of the US. California is the farest west coast, with us being in NC. Maine and Florida are the farthest North/South. We have a great friend, who is a flight attendant, that delivers puppies for us. She has a travel carrier that is able to go under the seat for take off and then the puppy is able to sit in her lap for the whole flight. Our families meet her at the airport for pick up.
Do you ever get parti-colored puppies?
Not usually. A few abstract white patches.
Your very Amazing! n u have passion for your Puppy's 🐶 ❤️
Aww thanks Esmie!
You are #1!
Thank you so much!
That's where my wife went to school.
Woot!!
To the people who complain about breeders raising breeding animals MIND YOUR BUSINESS AND GO RELEARN YOUR FACTS INSTEAD OF SPREADING FALSE INFORMATION
I really enjoy your videos
Karen, So glad to hear. We appreciate your support!
This is sooo interesting! May I ask, and I hope it’s okay but firstly can a family not purchase a puppy from you and they’re there pet, not used for breeding etc ? If they want their dog but just to be a pet xx
Yes, visit their website
Yes they can!
Have any of your dogs been used for service dog training
They have! We have one that was used for a diabetic service dog. And a couple that have been for autism.
In the nursery what are those tubes or pipes around it?
It’s called a pig rail, protects the puppies from suffocating if they go behind mom!
Hi, I've always wanted to breed my f2b Goldendoodle. I have done a ton of research, to the point that my parents are just annoyed. I cannot find out anything about Goldendoodle genetics, can anybody explain?
Go to paw print genetics. Very helpful
Do you ever have mini golden doodles
Yes. They are usually 25 and under
What age is the female dog when she is allowed to breed?
Usually around 2.
How can i find a miniature dachshund that won't cost way too much? Most of the ones i have found are scams.
I am not sure, but definitely talk to the Breeder, FaceTime even. If they won’t take you through their house they are not worth it!
how many litters do you take from the guardian dogs
4 if it is going smoothly
Liike it, nice masterpiece,buddy. 🌟
Thank you.
Mam, is it safe to dog if it's mate at age 6 for the 1st time?? Today her heat period started.. so pls reply
No, I think it’s too late. But I would connect with a reproductive vet
I really want to be a guardian home but I live in New Hampshire in the US
Caroline - Thats great! I wish you could be consider too. We appreciate you watching and commenting on our videos!
@@DoodlesofNC I have a almost 2 year old goldendoodle named Maisy
@@DoodlesofNC The puppies are adorable
Hi! I’m curious, if you’re breeding them during the second heat cycle, wouldn’t that put them at under 2yo and too young for OFA & PennHIP?
Penn hip is any time after 6 months.
And OFA is preliminary . So if we had any results that were not good and we needed to wait and do it again we would.
Hi how much do these puppies usually cost? Thank you.
3400 for our puppies
So do they guardian families get that dog for no charge?
No they pay 500$.

Hey Mapia! Thanks again for your support!
hello I have goldendoodle pupy she is 5 months now. We want to get puppy. We are in Miami. Can you help us about to get pregnant and breeding about her. And how much does it cost to us? and how much we get from puppies? I would be happy if you can inform us.
Why don’t you email us? Go look we our website and click the contact us.
Do you ever have toy golden doodle?
No. Sorry!
Do you breed them to be toys or teacup sizes?
Miniature poodle. I haven’t done the other sizes yet!
How much do you sell your puppies for?
They are 3,400.
Do you ever ship to California
Yes we can fly to CA.
I'm confused do you give these dogs away or do you sell them
Renee, they are for sale. Check out our website, www.doodlesofnc.com, for more information. Our guardian program allows for us to breed while allowing the best care and love for our dogs by placing them with a family until they are able to breed.
@@DoodlesofNC so you don't sell the puppy and let someone else do their own breeding?
I am from Philadelphia and would like to buy a puppy. Do you have financing?
We can take payments spread out as long as the puppy is paid for before pick up day. Email me!
What is your customer acquisition cost?
Wxtter, thats a hard question to answer. We don't have any hard costs, like pay per click ads, or marketing service. All of our business is done through education, like youtube, blog articles, and SEO. Our website, youtube channel is just my wife and I learning new skills and doing it ourselves. We do pay a close friend of our to help us write content.
Thanks for the genuine reply
make your vids longer!
I’ll tell my husband!
How many females do you breed?
We have 14 currently .
It's gross.
How old are your females when you do hips and elbows?
Penn hip usually around 6-8 months. OFA preliminary can be done at the same time. If the results are not great we usually do it again around 2 years to confirm. If it still didn’t improve then we will not use the mom.
Karen's pick out types of dogs on weather they shed hair. This is why this movement that ONLY experienced professional breeders should be the ones allowed to make puppies is madness. Only the worst Karen types breed dogs professionally ..

Abominations...
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Hey Michael ignorant people who know extremely nothing about raising breeding animals is an abomination
Money.
Don't breed . adopt a homeless street dog or a dog from a shelter.
This is not cute it's a insult to animal control that has to kill pets bc of overpopulation. Get your pets spay n neutered. There are not enough pet homes n animals are being killed because there is no more space. We cannot adopt our way out of the dog cat overpopulation.
Do the animals n world a favor don't breed to kill.
