Wow! Sounds great!
I shall await your choices. Bonne chance, Pierre!
Great idea for prompts! Thanks so much for the tag!
Thanks, I look forward to people’s choices!
You're quite right about the bun fight for the rights to host Le Grand Depart! Having the Tour de France start outside France is the first puzzled face I encounter when trying to explain the race to a novice. Great prompts, I'll be sure to follow with a tag of my own!
Nice, I look forward to it!
Good lord, did you tag everyone on Book Tube? I've decided to tag myself, and to make it more interesting, I'm going for extra points for French books.
1. "For a long time I used to go to bed early."
2. Jealousy, Alain Robbe-Grillet
3. Le Roman de la Rose, Jean Meun/Guillaume de Lorris
4. The Yellow Dog (Maigret), Georges Simenon
5. The Three Musketeers, Alexandre Dumas
6. Nana, Emile Zola
7. Les Rois Maudits (The Accursed Kings), Maurice Druon
8. La Dame aux Camellias, Alexandre Dumas fils
It will be just like the real TDF- lots of people at the start, but lose a half by the finish :)
Great answers BTW. Never read Robbe-Grillet but have watched one of his films…
Thanks for the tag!!! 🎉
You are welcome!
This is such a great idea for a tag, Gavin! Thank you for tagging me. I found your answers very interesting.
Thanks! Hope you can do it!
Did you know that France is one of my trigger word? I LOVE France! Thanks for tagging me, although you didn’t give me a lot of others to tag! 😂💛🇫🇷
Well the race started today, so I figured I had better tag lots! Vive la France!
What a great tag, Gavin! Very creative! Thanks for tagging me. I will do this one very soon.
Thanks Pat: get your “thinking beret” on!
@@GenreBooks23yes! I’m afraid I won’t be able to do justice to the French language with this one, but I will give it my best shot. Great tag!
I'm going to try and watch the tour this year, I always tell myself it looks like something I could really get in to. Fun tag, will do this one soon! The Drowned World is the only Ballard I've read, I need to get more.
Thanks- the hour long highlights (if ITV still have the contract) are enough to keep up to date. Once you get into the strategies, it get compulsive:)
Hi Gavin, great tag. Look forward to doing it. Thanks for the prompt. In the notes above you forgot to list tags 9 and 10. Might help to fill it in for people when they copy from it. Might miss them out otherwise. Great idea for a tag. Your love of the race comes through. Nihilism might be coming through in your answers a lot because of how it makes you feel watching it and the constant inevitable suffering of the competitors.
Ooh- good spot, amended, thanks.
Nihilism from the Tour De France and misanthropy from watching England at the Euros :)
Thanks for the tag. I don’t know when I get around to doing it though.
No pressure!
What a great tag-although I feel the need to apologize in advance for butchering the French when I read out the prompts…
Not a problem. I live approx 50 miles from France and would struggle!
