  • Driving around with bad camber and toe is no good especially when I just bought brand new tires. Today, I'll be dialing in my Camber and Toe by installing Duralast Camber Kit for the 07-11 Civic Si.

    And the camber arms you had the the civic originaly were adjustable you just had to screw the nut back loose then re tighten it at the right camber point but them things were deff busted haha

    get the camber adjusted to the "C" camber arm spec when you are at the alignment shop. you can do either -1.5 or if you want to be really safe and maximize tread life but lose some handling performance you can align it to -0.7.

    you do realize its the negative 2.5 degrees of camber is eating away at the inner side of your tire. i JUST did this job like week ago with the same camber arms! i hope you loaded the suspension before tightening all the bolts if not, you are gonna get premature bushing wear.

    • @Rawrkee
      @Rawrkee  2 роки тому

      Yes, I know Camber does cause wear on the tire but Toe will amplify that wear at a much faster rate. I rather have Camber wear than Camber and Toe wear 🤣🤣🤣 And yeah, I made sure to load the suspension before torquing the bolts to spec. Thanks for lookin out!

    These cars are great but their Achilles’ heel are the interior build quality and paint. I haven’t had trouble with my ac vents yet but i have replaced the floor mats, gear shift leather, and visors due to premature wear. Good luck with your front end.

    • @Rawrkee
      @Rawrkee  2 роки тому +1

      Mannn, you're absolutely right! Idk why didn't make a black interior for these cars but oh well. And thanks bro! Hopefully I can get the frontend to look just as good as before

      @2likruesco768 2 роки тому

      Btw, those rear upper control arms you removed were the first gen Skunk2 adjustable. They were trash because they required decoupling from the rear hub for every adjustment you made. This made alignments very expensive if you didn’t do them yourself and a guessing game if you did. The ones you replaced them with are much better.

  • @aaronmoura1234
    @aaronmoura1234 11 місяців тому

    The Bondo on the fender haha i had to legit do the same exact thing to a fd2 fender i had gotten from somebody because the bolt was stripped that held the fender doen so i had to cut it of the car and re bondo a flange back on 🤣🤣🤣

    How low are you’re springs? How come you went with those camber arms instead of adjustable ones ? Also did you need to install any thing else for the camber how about the front? The guy before me installed springs that are pretty low and I don’t think he installed any camber parts for it and I’m having a really bad problem with tire wear on my passenger rear got new tires and already a hole in them the drivers side is fine it’s just that one side

    • @Rawrkee
      @Rawrkee  Рік тому

      I have adjustable coilovers and so I lowered the car about 1.5” leaving me with about 2 finger wheel gap on all four wheels. The Camber arms I installed in this video are adjustable, there’s a specific method on how to adjust it but most, if not all, Adjustable Camber arms will be very similar in design for the 8th gen civic. The front suspension is a little weird, you’ll have to get Camber Bolts which will probably give you up to 1-1.5 degrees. But if you have coilovers with Adjustable Camber Plates, those who’ll help a lot too

    Bro those sun visors are notorious from the factory they came out defective. I remember when I had my 2007 si coupe I had those replaced 3 times. Call Honda they should still have an open TSB. Word of advice “ Call Honda corporate and be nice to the cell center rep, because they can actually help you with anything that is within warranty and even out of warranty. Depending on what it is. Trust me I used to work for Toyota Corporate and I used be that person answering that phone and if that Toyota owner called Being an ass I wouldn’t help him or her. So try to call Honda corporate and see what they can help u with .
