Great information. I particularly liked how you did it on location to demonstrate a practical situation one would encounter in weddings/events and creating backdrops out of the environment.
uuuh my first thought was "its Alexander Ludwig a.k.a Björn Ironside from Vikings". Thanks for the men-posing video. its helpful for my next shootings :D
Hey Thanks , great upload. Can we have a common an ordinary person having an ordinary physique with slight belly out ( Read not in shape type) as a model who has not faced camera except photos for documentation.
I'm trying to take a picture to apply as an extra in a series, Mayor of Kingstown. I never take pictures of myself but I have to for this. My first attempt pretty much looked like the first one you took, just horrible. Hopefully I can get a better picture and maybe you'll see me on the show
Does this idea sound okay? As one of those unseasoned photographers we seem to make our subjects think that their responsibility is to stop moving, suck it in, stand up straight and make like a strong stiff version of a mug shot. Instead of this what if we can get the subject to think movement or motivation. Even if the subject isn’t truly moving about if they employ the subtle lean or bend it will still seem to infer motion or action. Have them engage with the camera.
Thanks, Pye, for the video. Quick question; The model shifted his weight to his front leg. I thought the weight was to always be shifted to the rear leg. Is that "rule" just for women?
I feel bad for saying bc I think the intention is to make things loose and fun but any kind of slightly sexual comment and def a comment about somebody's mother even as a joke is so unprofessional and cringe. Really great photography though, I reiterate. Thank you for this video.
The selection of the Model for this shoot was perfect!!
He had a good sense of humour too

Looking into the lens or looking away? Next video might be about the angles of the looks...or the looks and the emotions they cause in the photo
women version ofc
by the way. nice content. loving it. very helpful and on point
Great tips! I found the above video very useful.
Would you be able to cover posing larger people, male and/or female?
Super
Art teacher here. You are correct about contrapposto. Weight on one leg to look more relaxed and natural. See Michelangelo’s David.

👍👍👍
hi superb
iam first
Omg thank you for getting right to it and cut the shit. Took step by step in bit size pieces.
👍🙏
Whole hand in pocket no thumb
Leaving the jacket unbuttoned doesn't work....
His coat sleeves are too long.
Tip 1: be good looking
If you made these jokes to me when I was posing for you I would be uncomfortable. I'd love to get straight to the point without the awkward comments.
Excellent posing tips though

Good tutorial.
The model should lose the earing. It pulls attention away from his face and eye during closer shots.
He needs to use a model with a little belly fat. That's the shape of most
Why do they always talk so long. Give a few examples. And carry on.
Very helpful video! Thank you!
