Thanks a lot.
The ulti-clip was designed to be used on kydex firearm holsters so that the user could carry without the use of a belt. So the clip has to be that tight to be able to handle the force of drawing a firearm out of the holster without allowing the holster to come out with the firearm.
That makes sense.
Right
Bro the definition of an instagram hobbyist
I own that knife and found it very difficult to draw from pocket carry since the serrations would consistently catch and get stuck in the kydex sheath. Because of this I would not count on it to perform in an emergency situation. I do notice that my sheath looks differently than the one in this video so maybe this has been corrected.
That’s possible I’m not sure if they made any changes. But love the feedback.
The thing with this knife, the 177bk, the 173bk from benchmade and the cqb from Spartan blades is that they're not cutters they are punchers, more correctly, they're weapon retention tools. Children who buy them try to cut paper and stab trees with them and when both fail they hoot and holler. These knives aren't suppose to be sharp so they don't get stuck in bone or from suction
Great to see that your venturing into uncharted Territory, Dirk! 👍 Thanks for reviewing this one. I have a good number of other Bastinelli designs, but not this one. 🗡️👊🔥
Always looking to show different items.
Thanks for clarifying the fox knives thing I was confused
It's a very cool design. I can see the purpose and think it would work well. it's not something for me either. Great review 👍
Those clips are great. If you need something to be held down really good, that’s the one to use. It makes me wonder what your real world experience is.
Omg it’s to hard to open😢
Cool little knife. I agree on knives for self defense; there are far better tools and there is no substitute for training. Also, consider the emotional and spiritual battles that come with self defense encounters; a knife is a very “intimate” tool in that regard. Anywho, hope everyone has a great day!
Great points.
I just received a very similar knife called feather from microtech/bastinelli. Generally i dont have fixed blades because its a bit uncomfotable to carry them concealed. But a knife like that is a nice little option to have a fully concealed fixed blade knife👍
Agreed it’s kind of cool. Would be super easy to carry this one no doubt.
Thanks for sharing. But like you. The only knife fighting I do is with my apple at lunch. 😂😂😂😂😂
This looka good. Like the sheath
Smh, in prison they make shanks and they aren’t trained or experts. A sharp object to slice and stab is just a primitive way of live always has been, a lot of folks have grown very soft with time others are weak that’s just nature…but a knife isn’t a last ditch tool because depending on the situation you choose the right tool. I honestly think you should stay away from sharp stuff stick to butter knives😂😂😂 just collect.
I stand by my comment of a knife being a last ditch tool in a self defense encounter.
I think that if it’s come down to using a knife then every other option went wrong and you’re having a really really bad day.
There are better tools and tactics for self defense and the knife should absolutely be the last option.
Agree with your prison shank analogy but again that goes back to every other thing went wrong is you’re in prison needing to defend yourself.
Appreciate the feedback.
How much of knife fighting is an actual skill, and how much is just a complete crap storm where everyone get's hurt???
Soooo true
Pretty cool
Look Nancy, use your imagination... It`s a distance creator .
The sheath is the best part. Only the ring would ride above your waistband. It's a good "get off of me so I can draw my pistol" solution. But no way I'd pay $144 for a 1" blade on a skinny handle. The SOCP original goes for $119.
Cool knife!
Agreed.
Don’t put that disrespect on ulti clip
@@emiliog9402 lol
Hahahahah “but i will zoom in”
👍😮
Too hard for you.?.. in what age have you been born? With all respect “you are too soft for being talking about this topic” if that is hard I can’t imagine you in a real survival experience
Eh thanks for watching. Everyone’s entitled to an opinion.
Steel is N690
Of COURSE we care about the blade length you practically just wasted my time
Sorry to hear that. Never my intention to waste anyone’s time. Thanks for watching.
Give some of my other videos a chance.
There cool little knives but for the price it’s not worth it.
True
Mine broke in and got easier
Awesome.
You have to lube that clip up, also you have to open and close it over and over and over again atleast like 50 times before it becomes easier.
Ahhhh
3:15 to see the actual knife. Jesus.
And it's NOT worth the $145 price tag!
Only If you have girly hands is that clip hard to open.🤣
That explains it 😂😂
