    and now I'll go try to find another video that actually shows what is done to disassemble and grease the bushing since this one didn't actually show any of that with the camera angles used. so close, yet so far!

      kiparosu rear suspension linkage bearings are the most overlooked part on a bike. this is how they should look if you properly maintain your bike. you're supposed to clean them every 6 months

      I'd say A LOT of tips. Watching the video or just listening to it makes no difference at all, I couldn't see anything he did

    No ERomano55, to do the job properly, it will take much longer than 30-40mins as this video shows. There is NO way you can do it in 20mins, and if you are, you are not doing it properly. If you took your time and did it properly, you could do it every 3 years min, not every 3 rides. First of all, clean out the bearings completely in a solvent so there is NO trace of any old grease or dirt. Repack thoroughly with a high quality waterproof grease. It might a few hours, but it lasts a min of 100hrs

  • @BFSmad101
    @BFSmad101 11 років тому

    Agreed ! I do mine every 3 rides. Takes about 40 minutes to do it this way. and every 3 times I do it, I'll do the shock/swingarm bearings too.

    I just bought a 13 honda crf250, the manual says to change the piston every 6 races, where i race that would mean a new piston every hour and a half lol

But I came from a time when baggy pants got popular and I can remember how my dad was, which wasn't pleasant LOL. He just didn't understand and neither do we.

    Linkage bearings locking up after 20-30 hours of riding on a brand new bike ?
    Are you fucking kidding ? O.o
    My collegue is a test rider for suzuki, They also reccomand to change pistons after 20-25hours of riding. Whilst testing the rode the crap out of a brand new bike hitting the rev limitter everytime, They got 200 hours out of it on a rmz450...
    But bearings seizing after 20-30 hours ????
    I'd say that's a hoax..

    nahh i know what im doing when working on my bike, you obviously dont know what your talking about for saying every 3 years to clean and regrease them, the bearings will be 100% shot. and yea it takes me 30 minutes to clean and repack them with grease , anyone with half a brain can do it right in under an hour
