Living in the pnw i have to do this every year to be safe. Sooo much rain and soo many puddles it will kill bearings! Great video!

If you have a drill and taps you can install grease zerks on all of those components that way instead of tearing the whole thing apart you can just hit it all with a grease gun instead will take about 2 minutes to grease everything instead of a couple hours

Every 100 hours is when I do mine. If you're at 260 hours you might as well just replace the bearings

A lot less work and money to just clean and grease them regularly than to replace all the bearings and races!

@@01AceAlpha Right. But at 260 hours and not touched them once.... yeahh peace of mind would be just to do them. I've done it so many times on many bikes that it's pretty easy and painless to just replace them if they were mistreated after a while.

I lube my chassis and suspension bearings regularly. In fact, I recently purchased a Husky TE250 with 90 hours on it...the 1st thing I did was tear it down to get a look at the bearings and load them up with Maxima WP grease. Here in wet New England it is just part of taking care of my machine....

Good choice. I have had several different brands and they're all the same. Cheep on the grease. Highly recommend taking everything apart and grease within the first couple of months. Might even learn a little about your bike.

People will spend all kinds of money getting their suspension “dialed” for something that can be done easily from home 😂...fact is MOST dealerships charge you for the pre-delivery service and DON’T do it (or at least all of it) I used to work for a Yamaha dealer and I know what the factory requirements for lubricants are before you sell the bike to a customer...bottom line there’s a good chance your bike has NEVER had the correct lubrication from the factory because it’s the dealerships job to make the bike ride ready...whatever lube is in the axles and linkage was just to prevent rust in shipping

In my bike (2019 Gas Gas EC 300) needles do not come out and this is really handy cleaning and lubricating them. I think that every 100 up to 120 hours they should be maintained.
