How sad 😧☹️ it always upsets me to hear about people who get tarantulas and then for whatever reason, get bored of them or decide they don't want them anymore. I don't know how anyone could just discard a living creature so easily. Thankfully there's people like yourself to offer a home to these beautiful animals 😊
@@chloewright1 Ah, not too bad of a thing :-). If someone doesn't resonate with a pet, I think it's the right thing to give it to someone who appreciates it. I own around 20 tarantulas now and I don't have the same emotional attachment to all of them. I've also sold a few, but only to experienced keepers. Couldn't imagine doing this with a dog though, whole other story.
@@TheAbysswalker yeah, I understand what you're saying. I think maybe I'm just a bit over sensitive, I get upset by the most ridiculous things that most people probably wouldn't give a second thought to. I think, when it comes to getting any pet though, you should make sure you know what you're getting yourself into, and be 100 percent committed to taking care of it for the rest of it's life.
@@chloewright1 That's why it's definitely important to find a good place for the pet, if you have to let it go. Tarantulas don't much care in what living room their terrarium stands, as long as there's a steady supply of food 😋. A dog, who gets emotionally attached, is something I couldn't give away. There's lots of stories about people that had to get rid of their tarantulas, because they moved and weren't allowed to have pets in their new apartments. It's unfortunately not always voluntary 😔
Just got a b Hamorii sling (molted maybe once possibly twice so far) just got he or she! honestly we fell in love with it! Have only had it a short time, but seems very docile and hardy. Haven’t handled it as it’s a baby, but I’m excited for the adventure:)
They’re awesome tarantulas to have in any collection, glad you guys are so excited to have yours! Just test to see how her attitude is for the day by giving her a little rub on the back of her legs with a paint brush tip or the back end of a pen if she doesn’t seem bothered by that give her a few boops to get her moving out of the enclosure and onto your hand😁
Heya, great video! but just so you know the Latin pronunciation is actually ham-or-ee-eye, if it was a singular i at the end then it would only be an eye sound
Experience with growth rates? mine has reached about 4-5cm in roughly a year. How much has yours grown since making this video? love the content btw, subbed.
My tarantula moulted 2 weeks ago, and i fed my tarantula today, after a few hours I checked it's abdomen and it has a bid black spot, what does it mean?
These are amazing creatures. I will be owning a T here soon but I've never owned a Scorpion before
I agree
I got a Aphonopelma seemanni, Costa Rican Zebra as my first Tarantula.
My first was an Aphonopelma chalcodes and honestly I'd recommend that as everyones first, they're basically Guinea pigs.

Hay man I really appreciate it!!!

Or webs so much?
they often burrow
They will burro when younger, when they put on some size they will just hang out on top tho
@@EnterpriseExotics yep when they reach a decent size they stay outside of their hide
