I tried this drawer system and I had a lot of worms escape! I switched to plastic tubs with lids using a screen bottom. The top tub with the screen sits inside the other tub of the same size but allows enough room for the eggs to fall through.
@@riasinger1724 no I'm saying plastic mesh instead of the screen type mesh! The Beatles are way too big to fall through even the oats can't fall through, but it's super easy for eggs and small worms!
Great video! How many did you put in the top drawer? We have this same drawer system. I'm a bit concerned about how shallow they are. Did you have any escapers?
I tired these (about 10 units total) and I had a ton of worms escaping. I would find them as beetles later on walking around my basement. I switched to the huge ones and that gave the beetles enough room to not eat the baby worms.

I've been trying to inform people about the plastic screen for worn breeding for almost a year now! Glad to see some else actually using it... :)
where do I find the plastic mesh at
@@carissasweeney4349 Walmart craft section where the yarn is!!!
Why plastic over mesh may I ask?
Ria Singer so the eggs fall through, separating the eggs and the beetles

Worms like dark environments. Looking forward to seeing more videos. Cute lizard.😎
Welcome to the channel AJ, worms definitely thrive in dark environments it’s actually very important for their pupa state.
Oh I love Diego and his enclosure and your setup and the supworm setup. Thanks for sharing!
Lol I love how you used yoshi's eating voice when Diego eats.
thanks for showing me how to make a bunch of little bug dogs, expect more soon
If you heat the razor it would go smoother😉
🤯 that’s a awesome idea
I haven't seen the follow up to how the superworm container worked out
Where did you find the mesh? I can only find mesh with tiny holes. Do your eggs fall through good with the oats?
Great vid dude, I'll have to set me up one of those.
Thanks, it’s really a fun little project!
thank youu !!
Once they pupate, do you take them out of the dark or they stay in the dark until they turn into beetles?
Can we get an update on it now? Really simple set up. I'm getting a bearded soon and want to breed super worms and this was really helpful! 👍
Plastic canvas! Of course! Great idea

Just search plastic mesh on Walmart

What are your thoughts on ventilation? Enough in this case? :) cheers
They are worms they don’t need hardly any!
Do you put mesh in all of them
Just the top one
What are those bottles? Tattoo ink color bottles or vape refil bottles? So intriguing
Army painter paint bottles haha. They're usually used for painting miniatures
Just search plastic mesh on Walmart
With this method all you would need is 2 drawers
