I actually found John standing there frozen to be realistic. The freeze response is very real and you don't often see it in horror movies. When your brain decides that you can't fight and win and can't run and get away, sometimes it just freezes and shuts down and all you really can do is stand there. I think they could have shown it better but I do like having that response included. Also a lot of the ineptitude of fighting is pretty realistic too- its effing difficult to shoot or fight when you are that scared when you don't have any training.
I love that at 19:06 you can VERY clearly see the girl with the polka-dotted cheeks saying "What the f**k?" when everyone in the hospital starts the "EVIL DIES TONIGHT" chant. Never noticed it until now but now we know there's at least one person in that room who felt the same way we did watching it.
He’s got the new set, Channel is performing extremely well, and he finally got married and I think no longer has to quarantine from Chelsea… from the outside this guy looks like he’s got it going for him right now
I can't wait to see what they do with the final movie in this trilogy. The more I analyze it, the more I'm starting to see they're slowly closing it down by killing all the famous characters either from the old movies they brought back or the new ones we saw in the 2018 film. Edit: I just realized the movie is already out and I didn't know. Now I have to wait for the kill count.
I’ll be honest, as much as I love this movie and it’s still a Halloween movie so I still find it fun but it was completely pointless. No new characters survived, no real progress was made, and of course Michael Myers is still on the loose
Kind of different in that Michael actually won, and it didn't have a "did he actually die" ending. I know all of the film's faults and perceived mistakes, and I understand why it's maligned, but for some reason I still enjoy the hell of it.
Kinda disagree. Some new characters did actually survive… or well, a reintroduced one. This and well, I do feel there were actually a lot of progress made in a way, while for the protagonists it basically got them into more vulnerable positions, this is Micheal’s win as the last film was the strodes win. The progress was Micheal showing he’s not to be messed with and has gotten more terrifying compared to 78
This movie feels like a movie where the effects crew spent so much time getting every detail right and the screenwriters couldn’t be bothered to write a movie that makes sense.

Michael punching the light out right when the old man turns it on was one of my favorite moments of the movie. Their deaths were so brutal and sadistic.
Personally believe that losing his husband is what caused Little John to just stand there like maybe to him it was "What's the point of going on without Big John?"
This movie holds a special place in my heart. My dad was suffering with stage 4 cancer and he was a horror movie enthusiast since he was a child, I know most people won’t read this or care but I wanted to share my story.
Thank you for the story. The Conjuring and Insidious hold a special place in my heart. It was the only time I felt like I could connect to my family when we watched them each year on thanksgiving.

I felt really bad when McCabe bit it but when Loomis comes busting in with "DID MICHAEL KILL AGAIN?!" I started laughing my ass off. That delivery was just wild to me haha
That line and lonnies line “tommy what the fuck” absolutely cracked me up in the theaters.. I know it’s not supposed to be funny but the delivery was just hilarious to me
Honestly, my favorite part of the trilogy is that it shows how Michael Meyers has affected not only Laurie’s family, but also the entire town. Because in horror sequels, we don’t tend to see how these killers effect the entire community- including decades latter! This is why I love these films! Also, as for the flash mob. It is stupid, but this is how real flash mobs works. If they think that he is guilty, they all go after him because of parinoya and fear. They are understandably worried about dying and don’t want to die. And because of their hysteria, they attack an innocent guy.
drowning pool sounds way too much like all the other bands from that time. examples: disturbed, five finger death punch, thousand foot krutch, avenged sevenfold especially. the tonality is tired to death. then you have three days grace which is ridden with angst but that bass line was great for influencing the music.

25:32 this death also disturbed me. And Judy Greer, the actress of Karen, she's friends with Cameron's actor, Dylan Arnold. Apparently Judy told Dylan that he couldn't allow his mother to see this movie, because of how violent his death scene is. Then after watching the final cut, he fully agreed.

That seems so much better. Michael was cruel in this movie. Not just brutal, but cruel, forcing Sondra to watch him repeatedly stab her husband over and over, or dressing his victims in Silver Shamrock masks and leaving them on the playground. The idea of Michael answering her phone just to breathe into it and let Laurie know what he's done fits the bill.

Also, if you still think that requires a suspension of disbelief then, remember, in the first movie they established the precedent that Michael could just drive a car. So, you know, it would be par for the course for the franchise.
I love that they nailed how Micheal moves. Almost robotic, like an awkward kid. When he’s setting up his macabre little dioramas he holds his arms up to his chest like he’s really trying to make it look good instead of setting up something to cackle at maniacally.
The way Michael walks/moves is probably one of the few things they got right . I actually laughed at the beginning flashback as it was like he teleported . And that John Lumis/donald pleasance lookalike was really convincing aswell . But the movie overall was so disappointing that it hurts .
I sincerely appreciate the practicality of the "fuck it enough pain meds can get me through this" scene. Lack of pain or not, you are still one rough bump in a hallway from being worse off than before. It is a nice offset from the typical "morphine turns me into superman and my wounds are healed"
Lol, I was really hoping that meant they were actually gonna do something with Laurie. Nope. Complete waste of a scene. The medication served no purpose.

Even though the plot was all over the place, I still like the movie and I think that this is the most intimidating version of Myers we’ve ever seen. The dude is literally an unstoppable freak of nature here.

8:44 to 10:20 as a firefighter, this scene is so neat! I think this is the closest representation to what it actually looks like inside. You literally cannot see anything until it’s close. The kills are also so cool!

I prefer the deleted scene ending with karen’s phone ringing while the camera pans from her laying there to it, while Laurie is on the other end the phone answers and its just breathing. Her second of grief turning to rage “im coming for you michael” before leaving the hospital. Thats a much better ending to me than the staring out of the windows. I get what they try to convey but its just a lil weak considering they just killed karen.
This really was Michael's movie. He's the protagonist. He has a goal, people try to stop him, but he perseveres and succeeds and gets to do what he wanted all along. He gets to look out the window :)

The original Halloween 2 isn't canon, but the footage of Cyphers finding out about his daughter is canon, just not in Halloween 2 exactly since they probably didn't have a look alike to Cyphers in his younger years. So yeah.
It actually might! Apparently the radio tower will play a significant role in Ends and apparently it will "piss people off." The novelization of Kills even references the radio tower multiple times and also references the mask giving Michael some kind of power. I'm fully convinced Ends will pull a Season of the Witch and explain Michael's seemingly supernatural strength and resilience to the mask and the radio tower perhaps sending signals, much like the TVs in the original third film.
I think what makes this movie so good and rewatchable is that Michael is SOOO much more brutal than ever. Not just that, seeing how he affected more people than just Laurie is probably the best we've seen.
What I love most about the drone couple is both are old enough to come from a time when their relationship would be frowned upon, and yet they rose a metaphorical middle finger to society's expectations
I like to think that when Michael does his head tilt in this movie, it’s not out of admiration of his work, but surprise and confusion. He looks at her like “how tf did that work?”
16:07 something i love about that scene is how casually michael just steps in front of her after she said "hey michael", it felt like he was saying "yes?" like it was a normal conversation
I appreciate that characters didn’t suddenly become Rambo just because Michael showed up. Flight, fight, freeze, or fawn. Sondra froze. Little John tried to fawn. You don’t get a choice in your natural response. It’s not about being “dumb”, it’s about instinctual reaction to terror.
I felt really bad for Sondra and her husband and the johns I didn't like that they died cause they tried to make Michael's childhood home a home for themselves and Sondra and Phil were just minding they're own business so much devastation
I agree! The movie is about characters failing to stop evil because they are overconfident and unprepared. I did find the Little John kill to be kinda dump tho.
@@jerrys1 I felt the firefighter kills in the beginning to be annoying too. I feel Michael wouldn't even care about killing them, but once they turned those devices into weapons that was it for him. I feel that was a bit unreal. Not that firefighters are going to be able to fight a supernatural monster like that, but if in reality they encountered some kind of killer, they would have a high chance of stopping them. These firefighters are badasses and while they're not trained in hand-to-hand combat, they are extremely in good shape because they have to be to be able to pick up unconscious full-grown men and get them out of burning buildings.
I still can't get over how amazing the new set looks! I also love the addition of the kill stats throughout each movie of the series! It's such a great little tidbit of information. It really shows how much effort you put into each episode.

For those wanting to hear Micheal talk go watch the scene where Karen takes his mask and when he turns around and faces her if you listen closely you can hear Michael say “Give it back”
Can we take a moment to appreciate that in the flashback scene, we finally get to see Michael use the rope that was stolen from the hardware store in the original, to strangle the cop. Sheriff Brackett tells Annie that all that was stolen was some knives, rope, and a halloween mask. As far as I'm aware, he doesn't use the rope once in the original 1978 film. Aside from his stabbings, he only uses his hands to strangle Annie and Lynda. So getting to see him use that rope is something so small and quick, but creates an even stronger tie in to the original film.
The first 2 times I heard “Evil dies tonight!” I was happy that people were finally going to rise up to him. I got over it halfway through the movie and even laughed when they let Michael kick their ass when they had him dead to rights. Moral of the story, there’s yellers and then there’s doers(Michael Myers).
Is not really that they are yellers, is just that Michael is invincible. Don't know if they'll keep the curse plot of "until all family members are dead, he can't die"
You know Michael doesn’t kill children because he doesn’t think of them as a threat unlike teenagers and adults meaning though the firefighters didn’t deserve what they got Michael viewed the firefighters as a threat

Cameron's death was definitely my "golden chainsaw". It just goes on and on and once he's just a drooling mess you can sort of tell he's probably brain dead or very close to it to then just get finished off so brutally.
I'm can't express just how much I love Zoran's sense or humor. His cadence alone gets me every time. Thank you for keeping him in the Kill Counts even if it's just short cameos.
I get the impression that he's older than James. So, for me, his references are the same as mine and super varied. Whereas James tends to reference the same things over and over. Anyway, that's what I like best about Zoran's counts.

"aw, you can see my pants" i choked on my breakfast, that was a great callback. well played, zoran. i'm so glad to see this kill count finally! i had NO IDEA the loomis wasn't a deepfake, i always thought it was just really good sfx. but the fact that it's practical is just. that makes me respect this movie all the more.
funny enough I picked out the double. but I knew the real Dr. Loomis was dead seeing the double was believable except for a split second that shows his fat waddle and noticeably larger facial features.
I think it's fair to give credit to the guy who plays Tommy for doing his best with the dialogue he had. A great actor can make some bad lines work without sounding silly. Some dialogue is so bad though, it really doesn't matter how good the actor is there is no way to polish that turd. Plus respect to James for the line about the firefighters preparing to be 'Myrefighters'
I'm still so torn about this movie. On one hand, the stunts, choreography, gore, and the kills are all impressively done, some of the absolute BEST any Halloween film has to offer as of now. BUT, it's writing lets it down with some insanely dumb decisions and characters, not really giving Jamie Lee Curtis any room to shine at all, and middle movie syndrome at it's worst...
Even at it's worst moments this movie is still leagues better than some of the worst movies of this franchise. At least this movie is coherent in comparison to Curse of Michael Myers.

I love how they take the trope/stereotype of people acting dumb in horror films and give it thematic signficance. The townsfolk let their fear fester and take over. Like Laurie, they were never able to escape the shape. But the Strode women managed to overcome their trauma together because no one can truly heal alone.

One detail I think is amazing in Halloween Kills is how throughout a lot of the movie we see Micheals eyes through the mask, but near the end it’s full darkness. Goes to show how he’s become this unknown evil entity and I fucken’ love it
Never thought of it like that. But that does make Michael more evil and unnerving from my perspective. Its almost he's losing his humanity with each film.

That ending was better on my point too, initially Ends was set to be in the same night as the 2018 and Kills movies, but the director later stated the movie will take place in 2022

The alternate ending has much more meaning. Laurie calls Karen cellphone and Michael picks it up, just like in 78 after he killed Lynda. Laurie reconizes the breathing and that Karen is dead and says she is comming to get Michael before leaving the hospital with the knife. It has a Classic throwback and a kickass score, wonder why the didn't use it
Possibly because the alternate ending implies that the next film will take place immediately after this one, while in reality the next film (Halloween Ends) is confirmed to take place 4 years after.
Because Laurie does not end up going after Michael that night. The new film takes place four years later, so it wouldn’t make sense for Laurie to say I’m coming for you only for the next movie to start four years later.
Because there’s a time jump. Halloween Ends picks up 4 years later. The original plan was to have Laurie and Michael face off in the same night, but they decided to do a time jump in rewrites during Covid.
Halloween kills was the first horror movie I watched in theaters as a new horror fan so I think that might be why I can overlook so many of its flaws. I was just so excited to be there.
It's cool that James covered his left eye when practicing for his scenes. Micheals left eye is messed up. So it would only make sense for the actor to lack eyesight on his left side.

The '78 flashbacks are the only thing keeping this trilogy going. They're so fresh and I hope they expand on young Laurie and Michael. Halloween Kills sadly feels like fluff to satiate us until the finale.
It's obvious they have to rely on the flashbacks to try and keep the original fans of Halloween still interested . The movie overall was wasted on Laurie being stuck on a hospital bed and the awful dragged out witch hunt of a mentally ill patient and was in bad taste .
@@gemstar7286 When James explained that the cinematographers had contacted OG Halloween film crew on the methods used back in the day it made so much sense. They absolutely nailed the deadpan angles and young aggressive Michael.

I really love the flashbacks and was really enraptured in the beginning of the movie. But by the end, the writing was so bad and the characters so dumb that I might not even see the finale.
It’s great to finally have James back and counting kills. Honestly it was a totally well deserved break bc this release schedule is crazy to keep up with.
This is a very minor spoiler to Halloween Ends (2022) but it’s still kind of a shock: 12:08 It is VERY surprising how this ends up NOT being a kill. Like she somehow survives this and is in a wheelchair with a stitched up throat in the new Halloween! Like what!!? How is that possible! That lady is a beast for surviving this.
Fun fact (also spoiler alert): there is a different ending scene where Laurie calls her Karen only to realize that Michael killed her. On the other end she only hears Michael’s breathing. She responds saying that she’s coming for him. I really wish they did that in the final cut since it feels like a better wrap up for this movie and a great way to prepare for the sequel.

I've heard they decided to save the phone call for the third film. I'm not sure the veracity of that claim, but it could work as a way to introduce Halloween Ends and connect the two movies, since there will be a time skip.
The best line where Allyson’s screaming “WHAT” was like “WTF” and where Sheriff Barker and the therapist saying “Michael Myers is still ALIVE!” and that’s where the “WHAT” line is actually coming from. 14:15
The final to this new trilogy is such a letdown, if it wasn’t for the atmosphere of the cinema and the fans there it would have almost been pointless. If this truly is the ending. It’s effortless and extremely disappointing

I actually found John standing there frozen to be realistic. The freeze response is very real and you don't often see it in horror movies. When your brain decides that you can't fight and win and can't run and get away, sometimes it just freezes and shuts down and all you really can do is stand there. I think they could have shown it better but I do like having that response included. Also a lot of the ineptitude of fighting is pretty realistic too- its effing difficult to shoot or fight when you are that scared when you don't have any training.

I can't wait to see what they do with the final movie in this trilogy. The more I analyze it, the more I'm starting to see they're slowly closing it down by killing all the famous characters either from the old movies they brought back or the new ones we saw in the 2018 film.

This and well, I do feel there were actually a lot of progress made in a way, while for the protagonists it basically got them into more vulnerable positions, this is Micheal’s win as the last film was the strodes win. Michael punching the light out right when the old man turns it on was one of my favorite moments of the movie. Their deaths were so brutal and sadistic.

This movie holds a special place in my heart. My dad was suffering with stage 4 cancer and he was a horror movie enthusiast since he was a child, I know most people won’t read this or care but I wanted to share my story.
Thank you for the story. The Conjuring and Insidious hold a special place in my heart. It was the only time I felt like I could connect to my family when we watched them each year on thanksgiving.
My mom is a very big fan of all things horror but Halloween always had a special place in her heart to the point where it’s almost obbesesive💀

Honestly, my favorite part of the trilogy is that it shows how Michael Meyers has affected not only Laurie’s family, but also the entire town. Because in horror sequels, we don’t tend to see how these killers effect the entire community- including decades latter! This is why I love these films!

There’s a alternate ending where Laurie calls her daughter and Michael answers her phone it ends with him breathing in the phone while Laurie realizes that he just killed her daughter
That seems so much better. Michael was cruel in this movie. Not just brutal, but cruel, forcing Sondra to watch him repeatedly stab her husband over and over, or dressing his victims in Silver Shamrock masks and leaving them on the playground. The idea of Michael answering her phone just to breathe into it and let Laurie know what he's done fits the bill.
Wish they kept it.

I love that they nailed how Micheal moves. Almost robotic, like an awkward kid. When he’s setting up his macabre little dioramas he holds his arms up to his chest like he’s really trying to make it look good instead of setting up something to cackle at maniacally.
The way Michael walks/moves is probably one of the few things they got right . I actually laughed at the beginning flashback as it was like he teleported . And that John Lumis/donald pleasance lookalike was really convincing aswell . But the movie overall was so disappointing that it hurts .

I prefer the deleted scene ending with karen’s phone ringing while the camera pans from her laying there to it, while Laurie is on the other end the phone answers and its just breathing. Her second of grief turning to rage “im coming for you michael” before leaving the hospital. Thats a much better ending to me than the staring out of the windows. I get what they try to convey but its just a lil weak considering they just killed karen.
This really was Michael's movie. He's the protagonist. He has a goal, people try to stop him, but he perseveres and succeeds and gets to do what he wanted all along.

It actually might! Apparently the radio tower will play a significant role in Ends and apparently it will "piss people off." The novelization of Kills even references the radio tower multiple times and also references the mask giving Michael some kind of power. I'm fully convinced Ends will pull a Season of the Witch and explain Michael's seemingly supernatural strength and resilience to the mask and the radio tower perhaps sending signals, much like the TVs in the original third film.
I think what makes this movie so good and rewatchable is that Michael is SOOO much more brutal than ever. Not just that, seeing how he affected more people than just Laurie is probably the best we've seen.

I appreciate that characters didn’t suddenly become Rambo just because Michael showed up. Flight, fight, freeze, or fawn. Sondra froze. Little John tried to fawn. You don’t get a choice in your natural response. It’s not about being “dumb”, it’s about instinctual reaction to terror.
I felt really bad for Sondra and her husband and the johns I didn't like that they died cause they tried to make Michael's childhood home a home for themselves and Sondra and Phil were just minding they're own business so much devastation

@@jerrys1 I felt the firefighter kills in the beginning to be annoying too. I feel Michael wouldn't even care about killing them, but once they turned those devices into weapons that was it for him. I feel that was a bit unreal. Not that firefighters are going to be able to fight a supernatural monster like that, but if in reality they encountered some kind of killer, they would have a high chance of stopping them.
These firefighters are badasses and while they're not trained in hand-to-hand combat, they are extremely in good shape because they have to be to be able to pick up unconscious full-grown men and get them out of burning buildings.

Can we take a moment to appreciate that in the flashback scene, we finally get to see Michael use the rope that was stolen from the hardware store in the original, to strangle the cop. Sheriff Brackett tells Annie that all that was stolen was some knives, rope, and a halloween mask. As far as I'm aware, he doesn't use the rope once in the original 1978 film. Aside from his stabbings, he only uses his hands to strangle Annie and Lynda. So getting to see him use that rope is something so small and quick, but creates an even stronger tie in to the original film.
So I guess that one guy hanging in the closet doesn’t count as a use for the rope?

I got over it halfway through the movie and even laughed when they let Michael kick their ass when they had him dead to rights. Cameron's death was definitely my "golden chainsaw". It just goes on and on and once he's just a drooling mess you can sort of tell he's probably brain dead or very close to it to then just get finished off so brutally.
I'm can't express just how much I love Zoran's sense or humor. His cadence alone gets me every time. Thank you for keeping him in the Kill Counts even if it's just short cameos.
Right? It's like he has a direct line in to what makes me laugh the most. His run on The Kill Count absolutely cracks me up.
I get the impression that he's older than James. So, for me, his references are the same as mine and super varied. Whereas James tends to reference the same things over and over. Anyway, that's what I like best about Zoran's counts.

i'm so glad to see this kill count finally! i had NO IDEA the loomis wasn't a deepfake, i always thought it was just really good sfx. but the fact that it's practical is just. that makes me respect this movie all the more.

I think it's fair to give credit to the guy who plays Tommy for doing his best with the dialogue he had. A great actor can make some bad lines work without sounding silly. Some dialogue is so bad though, it really doesn't matter how good the actor is there is no way to polish that turd. Plus respect to James for the line about the firefighters preparing to be 'Myrefighters'

I'm still so torn about this movie. On one hand, the stunts, choreography, gore, and the kills are all impressively done, some of the absolute BEST any Halloween film has to offer as of now. BUT, it's writing lets it down with some insanely dumb decisions and characters, not really giving Jamie Lee Curtis any room to shine at all, and middle movie syndrome at it's worst...
Even at it's worst moments this movie is still leagues better than some of the worst movies of this franchise. At least this movie is coherent in comparison to Curse of Michael Myers.

I love how they take the trope/stereotype of people acting dumb in horror films and give it thematic signficance. The townsfolk let their fear fester and take over. Like Laurie, they were never able to escape the shape. But the Strode women managed to overcome their trauma together because no one can truly heal alone.

One detail I think is amazing in Halloween Kills is how throughout a lot of the movie we see Micheals eyes through the mask, but near the end it’s full darkness. Goes to show how he’s become this unknown evil entity and I fucken’ love it
Never thought of it like that. But that does make Michael more evil and unnerving from my perspective. Its almost he's losing his humanity with each film.

There’s an alternate ending where Laurie uses Karen’s phone to call Michael, saying “I’m coming for you.” She then walks through the hospital, knife in hand. I honestly love the alternate ending than the one we got in the theatrical release. And I can’t wait for Halloween Ends.
That ending was better on my point too, initially Ends was set to be in the same night as the 2018 and Kills movies, but the director later stated the movie will take place in 2022

Just like how you thought Officer Hawkins died in Halloween 2018, Sondra still lives, but she can't speak in Halloween Ends.
The alternate ending has much more meaning. Laurie calls Karen cellphone and Michael picks it up, just like in 78 after he killed Lynda. Laurie reconizes the breathing and that Karen is dead and says she is comming to get Michael before leaving the hospital with the knife. It has a Classic throwback and a kickass score, wonder why the didn't use it
I assumed they cut it so they could bring back Karen if they want to use her again.
Possibly because the alternate ending implies that the next film will take place immediately after this one, while in reality the next film (Halloween Ends) is confirmed to take place 4 years after.
Because Laurie does not end up going after Michael that night. The new film takes place four years later, so it wouldn’t make sense for Laurie to say I’m coming for you only for the next movie to start four years later.
Because there’s a time jump. Halloween Ends picks up 4 years later. The original plan was to have Laurie and Michael face off in the same night, but they decided to do a time jump in rewrites during Covid.
Probably got cut because Michael picking up a phone seems dumb
Halloween kills was the first horror movie I watched in theaters as a new horror fan so I think that might be why I can overlook so many of its flaws. I was just so excited to be there.

It's cool that James covered his left eye when practicing for his scenes. Micheals left eye is messed up. So it would only make sense for the actor to lack eyesight on his left side.
So I guess Michael Myers can't regenerate then. Meaning he isn't truly immortal.

The '78 flashbacks are the only thing keeping this trilogy going. They're so fresh and I hope they expand on young Laurie and Michael. Halloween Kills sadly feels like fluff to satiate us until the finale.
It's obvious they have to rely on the flashbacks to try and keep the original fans of Halloween still interested . The movie overall was wasted on Laurie being stuck on a hospital bed and the awful dragged out witch hunt of a mentally ill patient and was in bad taste .
@@gemstar7286 When James explained that the cinematographers had contacted OG Halloween film crew on the methods used back in the day it made so much sense. They absolutely nailed the deadpan angles and young aggressive Michael.

I really love the flashbacks and was really enraptured in the beginning of the movie. But by the end, the writing was so bad and the characters so dumb that I might not even see the finale.

It’s great to finally have James back and counting kills. Honestly it was a totally well deserved break bc this release schedule is crazy to keep up with.

It is VERY surprising how this ends up NOT being a kill. Like she somehow survives this and is in a wheelchair with a stitched up throat in the new Halloween! Like what!!? How is that possible! That lady is a beast for surviving this.
It was a stupid decision to bring her back. I'm quite certain she'd have bled out given that her carotid artery was impaled with a broken light tube.

She was still breathing at the end of the scene so it wasn't surprising that she survived.
Fun fact (also spoiler alert): there is a different ending scene where Laurie calls her Karen only to realize that Michael killed her. On the other end she only hears Michael’s breathing. She responds saying that she’s coming for him. I really wish they did that in the final cut since it feels like a better wrap up for this movie and a great way to prepare for the sequel.

I've heard they decided to save the phone call for the third film. I'm not sure the veracity of that claim, but it could work as a way to introduce Halloween Ends and connect the two movies, since there will be a time skip.
