I figured Daddy Ren stated Tou Tou was his daughter to protect her, but he should have told his wife and son from the beginning why he made that statement. Daddy Ren has caused them too much pain. So we don’t know who Tou Tou’s parent’s are ?? I have a suspicion that her father is Wu Shan Dao and the mother dropped out of school due to her pregnancy and deafness. The mother would have been Little Lark and baby Tou Tou was placed in the orphanage. Wu Shan Dao was the one who brought Tou Tou to the Master to be trained in TCM and the mother asked Shan Dao that her birth records be destroyed. Is there anyone who thinks that this is a likely scenario ??

Because this is to save Tou tou. If he did not intervene right away Tou Tou would be broken because she had put a lot of effort of being a successor and come to find out everything was lie.
