This drama series really got it all from different hardships of different individuals, family affairs, responsibilities (be it internal or external), relationships, shortcomings, repentance, acceptance etc I can't name them all but i must say this is a MASTERPIECE and I'll never shut up on how good and enlightening this is💕 I truly learned a lot
At a glance it may look a boring drama to young generation but it has a lot of thing to tell this generation. it feels so relaxed to watch it, sometimes it taught us to be patient, to work hard, to love a person. Each character taught us a lot of realistic facts to live in this society, they taught us how to grow a strong bond in between our loved ones.
I hope Luo yizhou and Zao lusi work together in another drama in future . They compliment each other. I hope to see this pair again . Both are tremendous actors. Gen Z is really good drama. All the characters have their own stories. Good luck to all the actors of Gen Z 💜👏
If there is one word to describe what this drama is about - it's redemption. How we are all flawed human beings, even the most respected or well off, and we each have to find our way. I really appreciate how the drama treated the "villian" character and showed how he found redemption and his way. There is so much depth to this drama - which I think sadly a lot of the detractors did not spend the time to understand and wrote it off as boring or not enough romance. I really liked the defocus on the romance between RTZ and TT because it would have turned the drama in the wrong direction.
I am speechless! This drama is so good. One of the best medical-romance drama ever. The actors were not even acting. It felt as if it is actually the story. The chemistry between TT and RTZ is unbelievable. They look good beside eachother. My only wish is that I hoped RTZ and TT would have more moments. They literally look so cute together. They are the sweetest and cutest couples ever. If this drama had more of their moments, it would have been better. But no complain. This is so gooodddd. I would definitely recomment it to my friends and relatives. Hoping for season 2. Overall....Incredible storylines and everything else.

This drama was a cut above the rest... The lead actors did a stellar job! They all were so believable in their parts. I have long been a fan of Zhao Lu Si and now Luo Yi Zhou is on my list of favorite actors... When he screamed at his father, "You have ruined my life!" It really let us know that he has the ability to be a great star. The fact that he is extremely handsome is just icing on the cake. Kudos for a wonderful drama that taught us all lessons about life along the way...
Happy ending 😊😊 We didn't find out Toutou identity, instead she gets a new identity as Sun Dayuan and start anew. Another roller-coaster of emotions 🤩. Gen Z is such a wonderful drama, we see the growth of every individual character, loved them all. Fell in love with Sun Toutou, she will accomplish a lot more as Sun Dayuan. Although it is a TCM drama it incorporated romance, comedy etc perfectly. A big job well done to the cast and crew of Hou Lang for bringing this magnificent work to us 🥳👏👏 and thank you to youhug media for giving international fans eng subs 🤗💖💖

This drama is so underated, a lot of you might not found this drama enjoyable at first, considering this isn't really as romantic as what we expected it to be, but i can say that this masterpiece is one of a kind, there's a lot of scene and situations in this drama that we can actually find similar in reality, this drama will teach us different lessons in life, it will teach us on how we can come up solutions in every challenges that we young generations might face in, it will teach and remind us that we are still humans, we sometimes get lost and failed but what most important is that we must get back as we learned from those mistakes that we made along the way. Well done everyone, the cast and all of the people behind this masterpiece, thank you for this!

At first I thought maybe this show would be too boring, boy was I wrong. It’s masterful in giving us an in depth look at the characters, their stories, human’s abilities of being good and evil, showing us their essence as a human being, the different relationships: family dynamics, spouses, lovers, employees, teachers and students, doctors and patients and so much more. While romance was not the focus, it bothered me that these main characters TT and RTZ and their relationship was glossed over. Their story had a bombshell and how it was treated was disappointing. Not once did the father (and grandfather) care about the devastation this caused to his wife, son and TT. He should have given an explanation immediately to the 3 persons he cared about but did not, he just watched them suffer. Also the millisecond given to TT and RTZ’s reunion was very disappointing and not even one kiss between lovers! Even a quick peck would have been more realistic. I really loved these two characters. Zhao Lusi again didn’t disappoint and newbie Luo Yi Zhou did an amazing job. All the actors were wonderful. I would rate this 10/10.
The mask is the key. It was during the COVID epidemic, so they had to be politically correct and did not displayed any kissing. Sometimes people should look at the message that is being displayed and you will comprehend better. The actors and the film team did a fantastic job insight of the difficult time that we all went through. A BIG thank you to the cast and crew.
This drama was so so inspiring and educational. All of the cast did a great job but Wu Gang deserves everything for his role. He was the true star of the show. Zhao Lu Si was amazing as usual but I'm surprised how Luo Yizhou did an exceptional job even though it was his first work, true talent i call. All casts were wonderful, naturally gifted actors in bringing their roles to life. Thank you for bringing us Houlang. The ML mom was petty, but a good doctor and Daugter, but I wish it was more screen time with Tou Tou and Tuan Zhen, plus more romance with them as well. Never disappointed with Zhao Lusi’s drama.

The story is so relatable to most of the Asian cultures and indigenous medicine practices, which made it even more interesting. Loved how the cultural and traditional aspect of Chinese household was introduced. It was soothing to watch and the lessons were so deep. There is so much to learn and never less entertained.🎉

I am a huge fan of Zhao Lusi and watched most of her dramas but of course, it is inevitable for me to skip/fast forward some scenes of her dramas (even other dramas) when it gets boring or dragging. AND this is my first time watching without skipping any scenes. I wasn't expecting much since I don't know about TCM. I just got done watching this for the second time. I watched this s because of ZL. I can’t say enough about how good it was. It sure makes you realize how important your health is and that drugs aren’t always the answer. I loved the whole cast. We sure could use another season. They could have had a little more romance. The couple needed that. It will be on my rewatch list. ZL never disappoints me. I think she is the best Chinese actress out there. It seems she is given a hard time in the press. She is a natural.

Very good actors. Under the direction of a good director, both are emoting/showing their love for each other using their eyes. No kisses are necessary. The tenderness of their voices said it all...one of the best C drama.
I seriously loved this drama. Zhao Lusi is my favorite actress: she can make me laugh and cry and feel all the emotions in between. I love learning about other cultures and since I found my first Chinese drama in May 2022 ("Arsenal Military Academy" with Bai Lu and Xu Kai) , I haven't looked back. Haven't watched anything else. So far I have watched about 100 different C-dramas and I'm totally obsessed! This one made me think and taught me a lot about TCM, which I always found fascinating. It was a wonderful script and everyone played their part so well. Kudos to the cast and crew for creating such a beautiful story ❤

This drama has pure love, family bonding, trust. The main theme of this drama is TCM. But there is much more to learn from this drama. This drama also teaches that none of us are perfect... none of us are born perfect... we all have some mistakes in our lives. But we should learn from that mistake and move forward. There should be success in life. What I like the most is that STT's real parents are not revealed. In reality, do all orphans know who their parents are? How much the family of TZR has adopted an orphan girl with love! STT got a new family... his own family... that's how it should be. Why will that person be judged by the identity of a person? Gen Z is such a wonderful drama, we see the growth of every individual character, loved them all. Fell in love with Sun Toutou, she will accomplish a lot more as Sun Dayuan. Although it is a TCM drama it incorporated romance, comedy etc perfectly. A big job well done to the cast and crew of Hou Lang for bringing this magnificent work to us 🥳👏👏 and thank you to youhug media for giving international fans eng subs 🤗💖💖

This drama is so underated, a lot of you might not found this drama enjoyable at first, considering this isn't really as romantic as what we expected it to be, but i can say that this masterpiece is one of a kind, there's a lot of scene and situations in this drama that we can actually find similar in reality, this drama will teach us different lessons in life, it will teach us on how we can come up solutions in every challenges that we young generations might face in, it will teach and remind us that we are still humans, we sometimes get lost and failed but what most important is that we must get back as we learned from those mistakes that we made along the way. Well done everyone, the cast and all of the people behind this masterpiece, thank you for this!

At first I thought maybe this show would be too boring, boy was I wrong. It’s masterful in giving us an in depth look at the characters, their stories, human’s abilities of being good and evil, showing us their essence as a human being, the different relationships: family dynamics, spouses, lovers, employees, teachers and students, doctors and patients and so much more.
While romance was not the focus, it bothered me that these main characters TT and RTZ and their relationship was glossed over. Their story had a bombshell and how it was treated was disappointing. Not once did the father (and grandfather) care about the devastation this caused to his wife, son and TT. He should have given an explanation immediately to the 3 persons he cared about but did not, he just watched them suffer. Also the millisecond given to TT and RTZ’s reunion was very disappointing and not even one kiss between lovers! Even a quick peck would have been more realistic. I really loved these two characters.
Zhao Lusi again didn’t disappoint and newbie Luo Yi Zhou did an amazing job. All the actors were wonderful.

The mask is the key. It was during the COVID epidemic, so they had to be politically correct and did not displayed any kissing. Sometimes people should look at the message that is being displayed and you will comprehend better. The actors and the film team did a fantastic job insight of the difficult time that we all went through. A BIG thank you to the cast and crew.

This drama was so so inspiring and educational. All of the cast did a great job but Wu Gang deserves everything for his role. He was the true star of the show. Zhao Lu Si was amazing as usual but I'm surprised how Luo Yizhou did an exceptional job even though it was his first work, true talent i call. Thank you so much to the entire crew, this drama will always hold a special place in my heart

You can take lessons from this drama.. But I wished they revealed the Tou Tou real parents and also the connection between that mystery woman.. Overall this is. 9.5 drama ... 0.5 coz of the mystery 😁

All casts were wonderful, naturally gifted actors in bringing their roles to life. Thank you for bringing us Houlang. We have been waiting for this drama for so long, so i do feel reluctant to say good bye to this heartwarming drama.
I feel so proud. It didn't even feel luke i was watching a drama even for a sec instead i felt like living with them. This drama is such an outstanding one and very educational and inspiring too

The ML mom was petty, but a good doctor and Daugter, but I wish it was more screen time with Tou Tou and Tuan Zhen, plus more romance with them as well. Never disappointed with Zhao Lusi’s drama.

I am so impressed with this drama. One of the best dramas I have ever watched and the casting is top notch. The story is so relatable to most of the Asian cultures and indigenous medicine practices, which made it even more interesting. Loved how the cultural and traditional aspect of Chinese household was introduced. It was soothing to watch and the lessons were so deep. There is so much to learn and never less entertained.🎉

I am a huge fan of Zhao Lusi and watched most of her dramas but of course, it is inevitable for me to skip/fast forward some scenes of her dramas (even other dramas) when it gets boring or dragging. AND this is my first time watching without skipping any scenes. I wasn't expecting much since I don't know about TCM. Watched because of Zhao Lusi but stayed because of the cast, story, and life lessons. Truly, this drama is one of a kind. P.S. Now I'm interested learning TCM T_T

I just got done watching this for the second time. I watched this s because of ZL. I can’t say enough about how good it was. It sure makes you realize how important your health is and that drugs aren’t always the answer. I loved the whole cast. We sure could use another season. They could have had a little more romance. The couple needed that. It will be on my rewatch list. ZL never disappoints me. I think she is the best Chinese actress out there. It seems she is given a hard time in the press. She is a natural.

Very good actors. Under the direction of a good director, both are emoting/showing their love for each other using their eyes. No kisses are necessary. The tenderness of their voices said it all...one of the best C drama.
I seriously loved this drama. Zhao Lusi is my favorite actress: she can make me laugh and cry and feel all the emotions in between. I love learning about other cultures and since I found my first Chinese drama in May 2022 ("Arsenal Military Academy" with Bai Lu and Xu Kai) , I haven't looked back. Haven't watched anything else. So far I have watched about 100 different C-dramas and I'm totally obsessed!
This one made me think and taught me a lot about TCM, which I always found fascinating. It was a wonderful script and everyone played their part so well.
Kudos to the cast and crew for creating such a beautiful story ❤

This drama has pure love, family bonding, trust. The main theme of this drama is TCM. But there is much more to learn from this drama. How to love your life, how to love yourself, don't give up on anything too easily.. keep trying until the end. This drama also teaches that none of us are perfect... none of us are born perfect... we all have some mistakes in our lives. But we should learn from that mistake and move forward. There should be success in life. What I like the most is that STT's real parents are not revealed. In reality, do all orphans know who their parents are? How much the family of TZR has adopted an orphan girl with love! STT got a new family... his own family... that's how it should be. Why will that person be judged by the identity of a person? honestly when the first time i watch this drama is just because there is Zhao Lusi as the main lead character, i have no idea what kind of drama is this or the story line.
and still thinking it just a common medical drama in the first episode but it turn out to be such amazing drama with a lot of thing can be learned. if not patient enough to follow the story there is no gain.
love all of the character in here, relate problem in our daily life, the twist 😂 (especially annoying lover to sibling twist), great characters development and the life learnings. so rare for me to find this kind of drama. educating but still fun to watch till the end. ❤❤
